Florida governor resists CCP influence, condemns fentanyl crisis

On Thursday (22 September 2022), Florida Governor DeSantis said that he will continue to combat the influence of the CCP and firmly oppose "Communist ideology." He also accused the CCP of covering up the origin of the covid virus during the epidemic.

Florida Gov. DeSantis declares, "I categorically reject socialism. I reject Marxism, Leninism, communism, any of these doctrines that arise from political theories that deny the worth of everyone."

At the press conference, DeSantis also accused CCP China of making fentanyl and shipping it to drug cartels.

The Drug Enforcement Administration has warned of a "national surge" in large-scale overdoses of fentanyl. The Drug Enforcement Administration already noted in its 2020 report that most of the fentanyl and the chemicals used to make the drug originated in CCP China.

Of the more than 108,000 drug overdose deaths last year, more than 80,000 were fentanyl-related. Fentanyl overdose has become the leading cause of death in Americans between the ages of 18 and 45.

Florida Governor continues action to prevent CCP information security threats
Image : Video Screenshot

In order to ensure information security, Florida Governor DeSantis recently signed an executive order prohibiting Florida government departments from purchasing related technologies, products and services from authoritarian countries such as the CCP.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said, "Obviously when you're talking about China, and when you're talking about countries like this, we need to maintain a certain distance, we need to provide a layer of protection for the people of Florida. That's something like social security numbers. Things like your bank account information, like your medical records, these shouldn’t be in the hands of the CCP.”

Florida Governor DeSantis announced that he will propose a proposal in the next session of the state legislature to further restrict the infiltration of the CCP and other foreign government forces with security concerns in areas such as information and communications in Florida, and said that Taiwan is best aware of the security threats from the CCP. It will help Florida recognize the CCP's conspiracy.

At the press conference that day, Ji Chin-yao, director of the Taiwan office in Miami, was invited to attend. He called on the international community to jointly confront the threat of the CCP, support democratic Taiwan, and safeguard the freedom and security of the Indo-Pacific region.

Pennsylvania Republicans launch midterm election platform, hold CCP accountable

Reporters : Tao Ming and Paul Greaney / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/09/24/a103535784.html

On Friday (23 September), the US Republicans officially launched their midterm election platform in Pennsylvania, proposing to ease inflation and strengthen accountability for the CCP. Check out the report from Washington and Pennsylvania reporters.

On Friday, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives officially launched their campaign agenda. In addition to their hopes of helping the midterm elections, they also promised that this is the policy platform the Republicans will implement once they regain control of Congress.

U.S. House Republican leader McCarthy said, "We want to make it public and let the nation know what we're going to do."

The agenda, called "Commitment to America," includes fighting inflation and illegal immigration, as well as boosting domestic energy and creating a "special committee on China."

NTD reporter Paul Greaney: "Unsurprisingly, American families suffering from inflation are a big talking point for Republicans."

House Republican leader McCarthy told NTD, "This plan will bring a new direction. We will make America energy independent, your gas money will be lower, more money in your pocket, inflation will slow, and we will shift the supply chain from China back to the U.S.”

McCarthy also said that once the Republican Party takes control of Congress, it will vigorously promote the investigations into the origin of covid.

McCarthy said, "Why don't we find the source of COVID? I'm going to create a committee on China."

Democratic President Joe Biden, however, criticized the Republican plan for not focusing enough on social welfare.

US President Biden said, "The policy goals of this platform are weak and lacking in detail. We don't hear them talking about Medicare or Social Security."

The US midterm elections enter the sprint, Fox updates its ranking forecast

In the US midterm elections, Fox's latest power rankings show that the Republican Party maintains an advantage in the House of Representatives elections. In addition, voters care more about the economy than social issues.

On 20 September 2022, Fox released the latest strength rankings. In the prediction for the House of Representatives, the Republicans are expected to gain 231 seats, 27 more than the Democrats’ 204 seats. The Republicans are 3 seats short of their August forecast, but will still take back the majority.

Forecasts for the Senate show that the race remains tight, with Republicans expected to have a slight lead of 51 seats and Democrats to 49. In reality, the Democratic Party only needs to win 50 seats to retain power, because a single vote of Vice President Kamala Harris can break the tie.

In terms of issues that voters care about, the number one issue remains inflation. Thirty-four percent of registered voters said inflation and economic employment were the main factors motivating them to vote. Among voters who are highly concerned about inflation and high prices, Republicans have a 12-point lead, so if the Republican Party continues to focus on the economy, while staying true to its commitment to voters on issues such as reducing crime rates and addressing the border crisis, the odds of maintaining the edge are high.

However, abortion policy and the future of democracy were also among the top four issues for voters. If Democrats can keep voters motivated on these issues, the November election is likely to be a close race.

It is worth mentioning that in the just-concluded primary election, 92% of the candidates endorsed by Trump won the party's nomination, highlighting that Trump still maintains a strong influence in the Republican Party.

Chinese stowaways killed in Cambodia, "zero-covid" forces out the refugee tide

中国偷渡客命丧柬埔寨 “清零”逼出难民潮

A vessel carrying 41 Chinese citizens sank in the waters off Cambodia on 22 September. As of 7 pm on the 23rd, 19 people were still missing. Some commentators believe that the CCP's extreme "zero-covid" epidemic prevention has triggered a new wave of refugees. These Chinese people fled overseas for their livelihoods, leading to tragedy.

According to the Cambodian Chinese-language media "Cambodia China Times", the Cambodian Sihanoukville Provincial Unified Command Committee learned that the fishing boat involved in the accident was carrying a total of 41 Chinese citizens (including 3 women). The whereabouts of the people are still unknown, and the search and rescue work is still in progress.

In an interview with Radio Free Asia, a Cambodian Chinese businessman surnamed Fan said that the tragedy happened because China "had no chance to work" and everyone was "trying to escape". There should be many more such smuggling incidents.

The report quoted Cambodian media information as saying that since August 2022, 30 Chinese people have been arrested when they smuggled into Cambodia by boat. In July 2021 alone, 36 Chinese people were arrested when they smuggled from Fujian to the port of Sihanoukville.

In recent years, the cooling of relations between the CCP and Western countries, as well as the CCP’s strict policy of clearing the epidemic, have led to the withdrawal of a large number of foreign capital from China. In addition, Chinese enterprises have stopped production and even closed down under the impact of the epidemic, resulting in more and more Chinese people losing their jobs and difficulty surviving.

A comment on Weibo said that Chinese smugglers used to target developed countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. Unexpectedly, even Cambodia has become a place for Chinese people to smuggle in. The wave of refugees in China has already begun.

In an interview with Radio Free Asia, Mr. Wang from Guangzhou said that it is all for survival. If there is a good job and can work in a company like Tesla, who would want to leave their hometown and go abroad if they do not speak the language.

He said that as one of the most prosperous regions in China, Guangzhou's economy is also very poor now, and it is not easy to find a job in Guangzhou. "It used to be said to be smuggled to the United States, but now they are all smuggled into Cambodia."

Vietnamese Chinese tourism expert Luo also told Radio Free Asia reporters that China's Internet blockade, the suspension of passports, the repair of electricity screens at the border, and the adjustment of visa policies in neighbouring countries have forced the bottom-level Chinese to face a crisis of survival. As long as there is a glimmer of hope, they will take desperate risks.

Relevant data from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees this year show that in 2012, about 12,000 people in China applied for refugee asylum overseas, and by 2021, it has reached 118,000, an increase of nearly 10 times in ten years.

On various Chinese social platforms, various methods of smuggling abroad have also become a hot topic. After entering Southeast Asia, they smuggled across the borders of South America and Mexico and then smuggled into the United States. It is very dangerous to spend tens of thousands of dollars for many months, but there are many Chinese people trying it.

Sheng Xue, a Chinese-Canadian media person, said, why don't Americans and Japanese not smuggle? The CCP’s political system limits the rights of all people to be free.

She told Radio Free Asia, "Chinese stowaways have gone to the world, to any place that can give them freedom, democracy, human rights, dignity, a little security and a little money."

Sheng Xue said that on the eve of Hong Kong's return to CCP China in 1997, there was a wave of immigration. However, after immigrating overseas, many people do not adapt to language and cultural barriers, and even miss their homeland too much, and they are not comfortable after going abroad. After seeing some improvement in the Chinese economy, they went back.

In recent years, the CCP's brutal suppression policy has turned many middle-class people into poor people, and they have given up their illusions about the CCP. Sheng Xue said that she can receive distress messages online every day, but she has to admit that only a very small number of people with the ability and assets can escape China.

中国多地强推收费隔离 官方承认经济崩溃

In addition to the charges imposed by Chongqing and Yunnan for all isolation points, Sichuan Neijiang officials require people who do not participate in nucleic acid testing to be quarantined for 7 days at their own expense, charge 273 yuan per day (RMB, below same). Some CCP officials have admitted that due to the economic collapse of the epidemic, the government has run out of money, and there has been a wave of serious bankruptcy and running away.

News (7)

In many places, people's grievances boil over the forced segregation of charges

On 22 September, the Sichuan Neijiang official issued a notice on strengthening nucleic acid testing for all staff in Shizhong District, Dongxing District, Neijiang Economic Development Zone, Neijiang High-tech Zone and key areas, saying, "From now on, those who do not take the initiative to report and do not follow the regulations will be notified. Those involved in nucleic acid testing, once found, will be quarantined at their own expense for 7 days.”

The notice stated that the isolation address is at the centralized isolation medical observation point of the Daliangshan Rehabilitation Center. Those who refuse to pay relevant fees will be included in the list of dishonest persons; those who refuse to cooperate and disobey managers will be held accountable.

The CCP has been taking extreme "zero-clearing" epidemic prevention measures, which has caused more and more dissatisfaction among the people.

The above regulations of the authorities have caused a strong backlash in public opinion: "You can go directly to the door to rob it, but you have to find an excuse." "What is cooperation? Don't you lose your black gauze hat if you cooperate with the official?" "Just send a notice to pay the money, and the robbers don't Pretend to be polite." "Once this money is successfully collected, it is estimated that it will bloom everywhere!"

Another person said, "It's really sad to watch it together with the news of Hong Kong's cancellation of entry quarantine." "It started, and all parts of the country are blatant." "It is estimated that (the CCP) is about to end, and the last madness." Chaos to the extreme is a new beginning.”

Recently, Changshou District of Chongqing City, Zhenxiong, Yiliang and other counties of Zhaotong City of Yunnan have also begun to implement charging management for all personnel in centralized isolation places, with the cost ranging from 100 yuan to 300 yuan per person per day.

According to a report by Overseas Radio Free Asia on 23 September, the Chongqing Changshou District Government Administrative Center confirmed the incident and stated that there are strict local inspections. But they declined to explain the reason for the mandatory fee rules.

"When we get off the expressway here in Changshou, they all have to check. After the inspection, those who should be quarantined according to their requirements will be quarantined. Documents issued by the district government that will be implemented on 21 September ust be paid at their own expense." Administration of Changshou District Government said the center.

The Wufeng Sub-district Office, where the Zhenxiong County Government is located, revealed that even local residents will be forced to quarantine at their own expense if they have recent travel records in epidemic areas such as Guizhou and Sichuan. If you conceal your itinerary, you will be detained.

Chongqing officials: The economy is very collapsed and there is a wave of bankruptcy and running away

Since the covid outbreak, the extremist anti-epidemic policies of governments around the CCP have caused public grievances. Recently, the CCP has vigorously promoted the normalization of nucleic acid testing. Over ten cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Taiyuan have implemented measures to normalize nucleic acid testing.

A division-level official in Chongqing, who requested anonymity, told Overseas Radio Free Asia that in the past, charges for quarantine were mainly aimed at people returning from overseas, but now there are overt and covert charges for quarantine in various places. One is that the government is really out of money, and the other is that it wants to deter the flow of people and reduce the pressure of clearing.

The official in charge of the market said that because they (the government) are worried that if there is a large-scale infection, the main local officials may have an accident. But this draconian control did reduce the movement of people, but the damage to the economy was getting worse.

Citing her own jurisdiction as an example, the official said that in the first half of this year alone, there have been serious bankruptcies and runaways in this area, which is located in the central business district of Chongqing. The direct feedback to the system is that civil servants and public institutions have drastically cut their salaries.

She revealed that many young people and low-level people in her unit are already in a difficult situation. The situation for most of the bottom-level workers is even more unsustainable.

"Wages in this system are all going down. I'm at the division level now, and the wages haven't dropped much. Those at the department level and the sub-department level, they've dropped a lot, by two-thirds," she said.

She said that the epidemic is very serious now, and the economy is collapsing. It is because all places are blocking it. All kinds of information this year have come out. The information is very ugly, because I am now in charge of the complaints and reports, and there are a lot of people running away. Especially this year, there are many bankruptcies, and all walks of life are running away. Three or four times more than before the epidemic.

She also pointed out that as managers on the front line, they understand the actual situation, but their advice is basically not listened to, and even talking about it with each other will be warned. She believes that the high-level officials in Chongqing also understand the situation, but they dare not offend the people above, so the whole system is full of understanding and pretending to be confused.

In this regard, the Chongqing Municipal Government and the Municipal Epidemic Prevention Headquarters did not respond to the above statement.

In April of this year, current affairs commentator Qin Peng mentioned in his program "Qin Peng's Political and Economic Observation" that the core team of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a meeting and made a decision: Suzhou can no longer support it, and the daily nucleic acid testing fee will be added to medical care and volunteers. The cost of personnel and security is nearly 200 million RMB. Recently, the tax rebate of enterprises has to spend 7 billion RMB. Suzhou's finances are already beyond their means, so they can no longer wait for Shanghai to clear the zero. Before clearing their own finances, they will decide on various industries after May Day. It has gradually returned to normal, and this plan has been submitted to the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government for approval.

Putin's decision-making changes, former adviser: Xi Jinping is the reason

Former Putin adviser Ilarionov said in an interview with DW that the factor that prompted Putin to make a change in strategy may have come from Xi Jinping.

Russian President Vladimir Putin made a series of major announcements this week, including a mobilization of troops, a so-called "referendum on accession to Russia" in four occupied regions of Ukraine; and renewed threats to use nuclear weapons.

Andrei Illarionov, a former Putin adviser, said the decisions went against Putin's long-standing policies and plans. He judged that Xi appeared to have told Putin something that reversed his attitude towards the war after forcing him to return to Russia from the SCO summit in the ancient city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on 21 September 2022 that he will conduct "partial mobilization" and recruit 300,000 reserve soldiers to join the offensive against Ukraine. However, Andrei Illarionov, a former Putin adviser, said in an interview with DW a few days ago that Putin's decision to announce the mobilization was influenced by Xi Jinping.

Deutsche Welle reported on 24 September 2022 that former Putin adviser Illarionov said in an interview that the factors that prompted Putin to make several recent decisions may be influenced by Xi Jinping rather than Ukraine's counterattack. He noted that Putin had earlier attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Uzbekistan, where Putin may have communicated with Xi, who appeared to have told Putin something that forced him to change his attitude toward the war.

Illarionov believes that, based on the leaked information and their body language, Xi may want Putin to end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible, such as before the Communist Party's 20th National Congress in October. "Russia fought a seven-month battle without a victory, embarrassing Xi and making him appear weak in the most important thing of his life," he said.

Illarionov also mentioned that Putin was preparing for a long-term war of attrition before attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit but the recent decisions represent a change in his strategy, and these decisions are not a sign of his weakness or failure, but a sign of his dependence on Xi Jinping.

Official website shows the number of organ donations. Expert: CCP deceives the world

官网彰显器官捐献人数 专家:中共欺骗世界

In September 2022, statistics from the website of the China (CCP) Human Organ Donation Administration Center showed that the number of registered voluntary organ donations exceeded 5 million. U.S. experts questioned the figure.

Dr. Katrina Lantos Swett, co-chair of the 2022 International Religious Freedom Summit and former chair of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), said in an interview with The Epoch Times that the number is "very large" and "suspect".

Dr. Xiqiu Fu, president of the US-based China Aid Association, told The Epoch Times that the CCP established the voluntary organ donation registration system and promised to carry out organ transplant reforms in order to "deceive the international community."

Dr Sweet said in the interview, "I have great doubts about anything the Chinese government says. We cannot accept what they say on the surface because they are opaque and dishonest on many things, including the covid virus. If the CCP is transparent and honest about the emergence of this very dangerous virus, it is possible for the world to stop this catastrophe and stop the spread of Covid-19 when it first appeared.”

"We can't trust the CCP's rhetoric, and I know that very well."

Dr. Sweet said that even in the United States, where the voluntary organ donation system is developed, the waiting time for organ transplants is measured in years and months, but in China, it is measured in days.

She said, "In the United States, more than 100 million people have registered for voluntary organ donation, agreeing to donate organs after death. However, in this country (the United States), you have to wait months and years for an organ transplant." According to August 2022 According to the Donate Life America Annual Update, as of August 2022, 170 million Americans had registered to donate organs voluntarily after death.

"You don't need to be a math genius," Sweet said, "in a country of over a billion people, [China can] have 5 million people registered to voluntarily donate organs, and people basically just have to wait a few days for a liver transplant." A transplant, a lung transplant. Mathematically, it’s impossible.”

On 6 May 2022, Mu Jiangang, a teacher at Lanzhou University in China, waited for a heart transplant donor for only 4 days.

In early 2022, the Cardiovascular Hospital Affiliated to Xiamen University performed an emergency heart transplant for a patient. The patient waited only one day for a heart donor.

In June 2020, Wuhan Union Medical College Hospital successively prepared 4 matching hearts for the 24-year-old patient Sun Lingling, and finally selected the best quality donor to complete the heart transplant operation for her.

After the outbreak of the Wuhan virus, patients with pneumonia in Wuhan also received rapid double-lung transplants one after another, raising concerns about the source of organs.

On 29 February 2020, a 59-year-old male patient with severe CCP pneumonia (Wuhan pneumonia, covid) underwent a double-lung transplant at a hospital in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. The patient's waiting time for surgery in the hospital is only 5 days; the chief surgeon, Chen Jingyu.

A day later, on 1 March, a hospital in Zhejiang, China, Chief surgeon Han Weili performed a double-lung transplant on a female patient with novel coronavirus pneumonia (covid).

On 8 March of the same year, a 70-year-old man also underwent a double lung transplant in the same hospital above.

On10 March of the same year, Chen Jingyu performed double lung transplantation on a 73-year-old male patient with covid. The waiting time for surgery is less than 5 days.

Dr. Sweet also criticized that in China, people can even book an organ transplant in advance. "Mathematically speaking, it's impossible to pre-order organs [in China] -- livers of this blood type, lungs of that blood type..."

"This is the nature of the CCP's organ transplant industry, which has become a huge organ transplant tourism industry. They (the CCP) make a lot of money from it, which is absolutely unethical," she said.

In 2006, the CCP's practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience was first exposed to the international community.

Falun Gong is a Buddhist practice based on the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", including five sets of exercises. It was introduced in mainland China in 1992. Because of its miraculous effect of healing and fitness, it has attracted 70 to 100 million people to practice in just a few years. In 1999, the CCP ordered the implementation of a genocidal persecution policy out of fear that Falun Gong practitioners would outnumber CCP members. During the 23 years of persecution, countless Falun Gong practitioners have been injured, maimed, mad, killed, and even have their organs harvested.

The explosive growth of the CCP's organ transplant industry began in 2000, coinciding with the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.

For more than a decade, the international community has released multiple reports accusing the CCP of harvesting organs from living prisoners of conscience such as Falun Gong practitioners.

Under the pressure of criticism from the international community, the CCP began to establish a so-called organ donation system and claimed that organ transplant reforms will be carried out from 1 January 2015.

In November 2019, a study by the Australian National University found that official Chinese data on organ donation was systematically falsified. Because the study found that over the years, China's human organ donation figures "almost exactly fit the mathematical formula."

In March 2020, the "China Tribunal", an independent people's court in London, UK, issued a 160-page report, stating that "living organ harvesting has been taking place on a large scale across China for many years, and Falun Gong practitioners are one of them - and it may be. It is the main source of human organs.” “The persecution and medical examinations focused on the Uyghur population are relatively recent.”

"There is no evidence that this practice has ceased," the report said.

Regarding the CCP's "organ transplant reform posture", Dr. Fu Xiqiu, chairman of the "China Aid Association", told the Epoch Times reporter on 20 September 2022 that the CCP's so-called organ transplant reform and the current voluntary organ donation registration of more than 5 million people, etc. are all lies.

"Those are full of lies. I think these are to cover up the fact that they are committing crimes. Trying to (cover up) in the way they cover up."

"Organ trafficking and live organ harvesting are rampant now. The CCP is trying to whitewash peace and make excuses for its sins."

"(The CCP's voluntary organ donation system and organ transplant reform) are all superficial articles designed to deceive the international community," he said.

Analysis: Power struggles before the 20th Congress set a climax, and Xi Jinping arranged a "big show" to release the signal

Recently, six "political and legal tigers" of Sun Lijun's gang were severely sentenced. Experts believe that this is a "judicial drama" carefully arranged by Xi Jinping, releasing multiple signals and highlighting the inner nature of the CCP. On the eve of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a new round of power struggle climaxed.

From 21 to 23 September, for three consecutive days, Sun Lijun and his gang were officially sentenced. Among them, Deng Huilin, former deputy mayor of Chongqing and former director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, was sentenced to 15 years in prison; Gong Daoan, former deputy mayor of Shanghai and former director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, was sentenced to life; Liu Xinyun, former vice governor of Shanxi Province and former director of the Provincial Public Security Department sentenced to 14 years.

In addition, Sun Lijun, the former deputy minister of the Ministry of Public Security of the Communist Party of China, Fu Zhenghua, the minister of justice, and Wang Like, the former secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Political and Legal Committee, were severely sentenced to death with reprieve, and their sentences could not be commuted or parole. They will be imprisoned for life.

Tang Hao, the host of "Crossroads of the World", believes that such a trial is a "judicial drama" carefully arranged by the authorities, releasing several layers of political signals.

First, the authorities heavily warned the backers behind the "Sun Lijun gang" -- Jiang Zemin and Zeng Qinghong Group. Before the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping will once again beat the opposition forces in the party and tell them not to act rashly.

Second, Beijing avoided the core felony of "rebellion", and Xi Jinping compromised.

Tang Hao believes that Beijing avoided the core felony that Sun Lijun's gang was suspected of "rebellion", indicating that Xi Jinping's re-election this time is not enough confidence and capital, and he has made a compromise with the anti-Xi faction.

Third, while the six "political and legal tigers" were sentenced, Xi Jinping suddenly "disappeared".

After Xi Jinping returned to Beijing from Central Asia late at night on September 16, he was in a state of invisibility and never showed up but the sentences on Sun Lijun and others came out one after another.

Tang Hao analyzed that Xi Jinping took 6 "political and legal tigers" as the 20 major sacrificial flags but he became invisible again, probably to avoid the assassination and counterattack of anti-Xi factions.

He said that Xi Jinping's attack on the "Sun Lijun gang" was actually a warning to Zeng Qinghong, the current commander of the Jiang faction, not to assassinate him again, otherwise everyone would fight with each other and fight to death. Now the power struggle within the CCP has entered its climax and also the most dangerous stage.

Fourth, Xi Jinping's major move is to clean up the political and legal system. Tang Hao said that Xi wanted to prove that he was in control of the party's knife and that he took the dagger from the anti-Xi assassins. Next, if anyone disobeyed him, he would be repaired with a knife and handle, which was tantamount to a more severe purge and intimidation of all factions within the party.

Dissatisfied with Beijing's ambiguity, Zelenskyy: It's a bit difficult to talk to Xi Jinping

Reporter : Luo Tingting / Editor : Zhu Xinrui / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/09/25/a103536483.htmlImage : On 21 September 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly via video. (Angela Weiss/AFP via Getty Images)

不满北京模棱两可 泽连斯基:与习近平说话有点难

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly condemned the CCP's "ambiguity" on the Russia-Ukraine war. He bluntly said that the communication channel between China and Ukraine no longer exists, and it is "very difficult" for him to talk to the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping.

Zelenskyy and Xi Jinping have "difficulty talking"
On 23 September, Zelenskyy said in an exclusive interview with French newspaper Le West de France, "I hope they (the CCP) can help Ukraine." But he expressed dissatisfaction with the CCP's "ambiguous" position.

Zelensky said that before Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Kyiv had "a channel of communication" with Beijing and the two countries had "a lot of economic and trade cooperation." Seven months after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, the communication channel between CCP China and Ukraine no longer exists.

He revealed that it is "very difficult" for him to have a phone call with Xi Jinping now.

Xi Jinping and Putin "hug together for warmth"
In contrast to Zelenskyy's attitude, Xi Jinping has displayed an ally relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Putin and Xi Jinping met at the SCO summit on 15 September when Russia suffered a major setback in the Ukrainian battlefield. The U.S. media said that they were two outcasts abandoned by the international community and were "warming up together".

However what is surprising is that Putin rarely admits Xi Jinping's doubts and concerns about the situation in Russia and Ukraine, and Xi Jinping's support for Putin is indeed very low-key. In the Russian statement, Putin took the initiative to mention the CCP’s concerns about the Taiwan issue but in the press release of the CCP’s official media, Xi Jinping did not mention the Russia-Ukraine war at all.

The "Wall Street Journal" said that Russia's current battlefield failure atmosphere is pervasive, and Putin naturally cannot expect to receive meaningful assistance from CCP China or Central Asian countries, and Beijing must also avoid provoking Western sanctions.

Bloomberg quoted an analysis that the CCP is unlikely to change its position in the Russia-Ukraine war. Even if it does not provide military assistance to Russia, the CCP may still provide economic and other support.

It is worth noting that, unlike Xi Jinping's attitude, before his meeting with Putin, Li Zhanshu, chairman of the Chinese Communist Party and a member of the Politburo Standing Committee, said during his visit to Russia that China "expresses full understanding of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and it is different in terms of responsiveness”.

Li Zhanshu is a close associate of Xi Jinping and the third-ranking figure in the CCP. His remarks have attracted international attention and are regarded as the most powerful and clear statement by the Beijing authorities to support Russia on the issue of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The BBC reported that Xi Jinping’s meeting with Putin undoubtedly reminded the outside world once again that the Sino-Russian strategic cooperative relationship “has no limits and no restricted areas.”

台学者就北京的“危险扩张”向澳大利亚发出警告

In a speech a few days ago, a Taiwan expert once again quoted the words of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, "If there is something wrong with Taiwan, even if there is something wrong with Japan, it is also the same situation as the Japan-US alliance."

On Friday (23 September), Li Youtan, an adjunct professor at the Institute of Development, National Chengchi University, Taiwan, delivered a speech entitled "Democratization and Peace in the Taiwan Strait" at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, calling on Australia to play a stronger role in the fight against the Chinese Communist Party.

Li Youtan served as the deputy dean of the Academy of Social Sciences at the National Chengchi University, and the director of the National Development Institute of Taiwan. His research topics include democratization, democratic theory, political thought, human rights and ecologicalism.

Li Youtan's speech comes at a time when tensions across the Taiwan Strait are intensifying.

Australia's important role
Li Youtan told The Epoch Times that the Australian government has realized the threat of the CCP, and the people of the country have a deeper understanding of it. According to a recent survey, 10% of Australians believe that CCP will attack Australia soon, while only 5% of Taiwanese believe that CCP will attack Taiwan soon.

In response to Beijing's expansion in the Indo-Pacific, Australia in 2021 formed AUKUS (Australia-UK-US Alliance) with the US and the UK, a historic trilateral alliance of security partners in which the US and UK governments will assist Australia in acquiring nuclear-powered submarines .

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong on 5 August condemned Beijing's "disproportionate and destabilizing" live-fire drills in Taiwan waters and urged China to "exercise restraint".

In addition, Li Youtan also suggested that governments, including the United States and Australia, may establish diplomatic relations with the mainland and Taiwan at the same time, as in the historical examples of South and North Korea, East Germany and West Germany.

Li Youtan said that the conflict between democracy and autocracy is inevitable for human beings, and they may eventually affect the whole world.

"Democracies have never fought wars, and democracies most respect individual freedoms and human rights," he said. "Non-democratic countries, on the other hand, are even more likely to wage wars to deflect internal pressure."

If war breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, Australia will inevitably "face the consequences of (the CCP's) dangerous expansion".

"So I think Australia needs to wake up further," Li Youtan said. "He plays an important role in the confrontation between liberal democracy and authoritarianism."

Australia-CCP relations remain gloomy
Australian Foreign Minister Huang Yingxian said after a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on 23 September that Australia hopes to stabilize relations with Beijing but it is expected to be a gradual process.

"I think it's a long road on which both sides have to take many steps to build a more stable relationship," Huang Yingxian added. "In terms of differences, obviously the first is the trade blockade issue. That's what I focused on from the very beginning."

CCP China is Australia's main trading partner but relations have deteriorated since April 2020, when China began imposing a series of trade bans on Australian exports after Australia called for an investigation into the origins of COVID-19.

Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles said on the 21st that his government was working to repair ties with Beijing but stressed that Australia would not sacrifice its national interests to do so.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has previously called on Beijing to drop its trade coercion.

"It was China that imposed sanctions on Australia," Albanese told the media on 13 June. "They need to lift those sanctions to improve Australia's relationship with China."

Italy is about to hold elections, and the right-wing leader Meloni, who is expected to become the country's first female prime minister, told the media that if elected, she will strengthen cooperation with Taiwan.

Italy will hold a general election on 25 September. The right-wing Italian Brotherhood Party, led by Giorgia Meloni, leads other parties in support. Meloni is expected to become Italy's first female prime minister.

The latest poll results show that the support of the center-right coalition consisting of the Italian Brotherhood, the League and Forza Italia is about 47%, and the support of the center-left coalition led by the Democratic Party is about 28%.

Meloni said that if she can lead the new government, she will promote more bilateral cooperation between Italy and Taiwan. She told the media last month that if elected, she would not participate in the CCP-led Belt and Road Initiative.

In July this year, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi submitted his resignation to President Mattarella twice. Since then, Mattarella announced the dissolution of parliament and held early parliamentary elections. Draghi is still the caretaker prime minister.

At present, promoting economic recovery is the country's top priority. Italy's public debt has surpassed more than half of its gross domestic product for two consecutive years after the outbreak of covid. Combined with rising raw material prices, high inflation and energy shortages this year, the Italian economy has suffered multiple blows.

Since the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, at least 9 allies of the Republic of China have spoken out for Taiwan, supporting Taiwan's entry into the United Nations and various international organizations, and urging the United Nations to abandon the outdated policy of excluding Taiwan.

Prime Minister of Belize, Brissienne (2022.9.23): "Mr. President, Taiwan is a model country in many respects, but it continues to be excluded from the international community and cannot participate in and contribute to functional multilateral cooperation mechanisms."

On the 23rd, the fourth day of the General Debate of the UN General Assembly was held in New York. Belize, St. Lucia, Tuvalu, and the Commonwealth of St. Christopher and Nevis, the friendly states of the Republic of China, spoke up for Taiwan one after another, urging Taiwan to participate in the United Nations as soon as possible and all agencies and institutions. Belize Prime Minister John Briceno said the United Nations must abandon outdated policies that exclude Taiwan.

Tuvalu Prime Minister Kausea Natano said that Tuvalu has benefited a lot from Taiwan's help in many aspects such as agriculture, food security, public health, and recovery from the covid epidemic. Tuvalu strongly supports Taiwan's re-entry into the United Nations as a founding member, including active participation in the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Tuvalu Prime Minister Nathano (2022.9.23): "We cannot exclude Taiwan, a vibrant democracy that has made significant progress on all SDGs and is ready to contribute to the global implementation of the SDGs. Try to contribute more.”

At present, Taiwan has 14 diplomatic relations with countries around the world, scattered in Oceania, Europe, Africa and Central and South America. As of the 23rd, a total of 9 friendly countries have expressed solidarity with Taiwan at the UN General Assembly. Honduras was the only friend that spoke but did not mention Taiwan. According to the agenda, the AIA Saint Vincent, the Holy See, Haiti and Nauru, who have not yet spoken, are scheduled to speak on the last day of the general debate on the 25th and 26th.

St. Lucia Prime Minister Pier (2022.9.23): "St. Lucia regrets the recent rise in military tensions across the Taiwan Strait, which threatens regional and international peace and security."

European Council President Michel (2022.9.23): "We hope that rising countries, including China, will sincerely participate in collective efforts for peace and development. We support maritime security, we support stability across the Taiwan Strait. We recognize the one-China principle, But it will not turn a blind eye to human rights violations, especially in Xinjiang and Hong Kong."

In addition, following US President Biden, European Council President Charles Michel also mentioned the EU's support for the stability of the Taiwan Strait in the general debate of the UN General Assembly on the 23rd, and named the Chinese Communist regime and China's human rights issues, and opposed any one-sided cross-strait changing the status quo.

"Pulmonary nodules obtained after vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine" hot search official media is busy "dispelling rumors"

“打科兴疫苗得肺结节”上热搜 官媒忙“辟谣”

The mainland-made covi vaccine has been accused of causing a large number of deaths and serious illness. Previously, Sinovac and other vaccines were exposed to cause leukemia and diabetes. A few days ago, "After vaccinated with Sinovac, suffer from pulmonary nodules" has appeared on Weibo hot search again.

On 22 September 2022, the Weibo public account "Wei Baixing Talks About Medical Reform" posted the article "Sinovac was searched in the middle of the night, and the number of related topics has exceeded 100 million". The article brings together many posts from netizens accusing Beijing Sinovac vaccines may cause lung nodules. Most of these posts are hashed with the hashtags "#科兴pulmonary nodule#" or "# Beijing Kexingpulmonary nodule#".

Some netizens said: "I saw a lot of people have lung nodules after physical examinations. So did a good friend of mine. I didn't dare to have a physical examination at all, but I often coughed before falling asleep at night."

Some netizens left a message: "I have been entangled for a long time, why did I suddenly have pulmonary nodules during the physical examination this year? Is this the original reason?" "No wonder there are 5 pulmonary nodules in 7 people in our office." Several friends around me have either urticaria or pulmonary nodules in the past two or three months, and the two women who checked for pulmonary nodules were not smokers."

The article said that when the topic was close to breaking 20 million page views, it was suddenly blocked. However, the views of topics such as "Beijing Sinovac", "Sinovac Vaccine", "Sinovac Vaccine Report", and "Sinovac Vaccine Lung Nodules" all reached 8 million to 40 million, with a total of over 100 million.

On 23 September, the CCP's official media quickly "refuted the rumors", citing a number of so-called "experts", claiming that "inactivated vaccines are not associated with the risk of pulmonary nodules" and so on.

In May of this year, an open letter from victims allegedly from more than 30 provinces in China leaked online, accusing them of suffering from leukemia after being vaccinated with domestically produced vaccines. Thousands of cases were counted at that time. The vaccines for these cases are mainly Sinovac, and the rest include Sinopharm.

In July of this year, "Wei Baixing Talks About Medical Reform" also published an article entitled "More than 1,000 children collectively have type 1 diabetes, parents cry and ask for help! ”, accusing the child of suffering from type 1 diabetes after being vaccinated with inactivated vaccines such as Sinovac Bio and Beijing Bio, and being forced to inject insulin for life, suffering physical and mental torture.

However, Chinese officials have denied it, claiming that the above-mentioned problem "has nothing to do with vaccination."

Easing control, Hong Kong lifts hotel quarantine policy for international tourists

Reporters : Liu Haiying and Lin Yi / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/09/24/a103536125.htmlImage : Video Screenshot

Hong Kong will cancel the mandatory hotel quarantine policy that has been controversial for two and a half years since 26 September 2022. No quarantine is required but medical monitoring for 3 days will be adopted.

The Hong Kong government said on Friday (23 September 2022) that from Monday (26 September 2022), all international arrivals can go home or choose accommodation, but must self-monitor their health for 3 days after entering Hong Kong.

Inbound passengers do not need to submit a 48-hour nucleic acid test, but only a rapid antigen rapid test (ART) within 24 hours.

During the three-day monitoring period, entrants can work or go to school but cannot enter restaurants and bars during the three-day period.

Andy Gu, Hong Kong financial worker, said, "It's time to let go. We need to remain competitive in the global market, employment and economic development. I'm looking forward to traveling again. For several years, I want to go home, to Taiwan, to the United States, to visit family."

Donna Lau, a Hong Kong financial worker, said, "I am very happy with the decision. Compared with other countries, there are obviously some restrictions but it is still very good news for all of us."

After the Hong Kong government announced the relaxation of the entry quarantine, the airline website booking traffic increased greatly. Some travel agencies received more than 1,000 inquiries within two hours, and there were two price increases for air tickets to Japan.

Donna Lau said, "Actually, I have also been checking the air ticket prices and it has become more expensive. But I believe that with more flights to Hong Kong, the price should come down soon."

Hong Kong used to be one of the busiest and most efficient airports in the world, but it has been hit by the CCP virus "zero-covid" policy. At least 45 foreign airlines had grounded flights to Hong Kong in September, according to airline industry analyst Cirium.

In addition to this, Willie Walsh, director general of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), said at a conference in Doha on Wednesday (21st) that Hong Kong has lost its global aviation hub due to the CCP’s zero policy. s position.

Willie Walsh, director general of the International Air Transport Association, said, "I think Hong Kong is being destroyed by policy, not by the virus. Let's be honest."

Rumours of Xi Jinping's invisibility are everywhere, and the public account that touts Song Ping is banned

Reporter : Jing Zhongming / Editor: Lin Qing / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/09/24/a103536224.html

Xi Jinping has not made a public appearance for many days after returning from the SCO summit. There are rumors on the Internet that the elderly Song Ping put him under house arrest but some public accounts were banned for touting Song Ping. Times commentators pointed out that the relevant rumours may just be the anti-Xi forces within the CCP to incite public opinion.

After Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on 16 September, although the official media still reported that he participated in various activities, including sending condolences to the "Chinese Farmers Harvest Festival" on 22 September, and sending a congratulatory letter to the 70th anniversary of the founding of China News Agency on 23 September, etc. , but he himself has yet to appear in public or attend a seminar at the top of the military. Thus, internet rumours that "Hu and Wen joined Song Ping to put Xi Jinping under house arrest" and so on were circulated.

However, many commentators are skeptical of online rumours.

Current affairs observer Wang He told The Epoch Times that Xi Jinping often did not show up for a long time in the past but now some people within the CCP are creating some rumours because they are unwilling to re-elected Xi Jinping but they have no substantive significance and are just expressing a kind of dissatisfaction.

Zhang Tianliang, the host of the well-known self-media "Politics in the World", also said on the program on the 22nd that the rumours do not conform to basic political common sense. If Xi Jinping loses power, how can he be able to severely sentence members of the "Sun Lijun political gang"?

A mainland online writer who did not wish to be named also told The Epoch Times that if Xi Jinping is really under house arrest, it may be announced soon, and the authorities’ zero-covid epidemic prevention policy will end soon.

At the same time that "Song Ping is under house arrest" on the Internet, the mainland WeChat public account "Big Reporter has something to say" also published an article on 24 September titled "Old Comrades Are the Mainstay of the Party, Ding Hai Shen Zhen", touting Song Ping. The article was popular on WeChat for a while but it was deleted soon after, and the official account was also banned.

Not long ago, there was also a video of Song Ping talking about "reform and opening up" on the Internet but the relevant reports were quickly deleted from the entire network.

In addition, when rumors were circulating on the Internet, the Hong Kong newspaper South China Morning Post (SCMP) issued a report on 22 September, claiming that German Federal Chancellor Scholz and French President Macron may go to Beijing in November to meet with Xi Jinping respectively.

SCMP is controlled by Chinese businessman Jack Ma. The newspaper also announced on 18 July that the four European countries will visit China in November to meet with Xi Jinping but the Chinese Foreign Ministry called it "fake news" the next day. SCMP issued another article, saying that the invitation to visit is expected to be officially confirmed later this year.

Li Lin, a current affairs commentator, told The Epoch Times that SCMP reported some news about the CCP, which can easily be seen as the CCP's venting but sometimes the news is not necessarily from the same faction, and there may be an element of infighting. For example, the news this time may be that the authorities "refute the rumour" by letting it go.
