A community in Shanghai was found to be covi-positive, and a nearby nucleic acid booth has also become an epidemic-related area. Many residents who have been there have been told to "not go out unless necessary" for several years. Netizens ridiculed the official error and bemoaned the longevity of the "dynamic clearing" policy.

On 5 October, a Weibo V with more than 600,000 followers in Shanghai posted, "I did a nucleic acid test the day before yesterday. Yesterday, the nucleic acid booth became an epidemic-related area, and I will not go out for 10 years unless it is necessary."

The screenshot of the text message shared by the blogger shows that the Jiading District Prevention and Control Office notified that because the mobile phone owner has been to the "epidemic-related area", he must do two nucleic acid tests as soon as possible, and "do not go out unless it is necessary for 3648 days".

The blogger added later that this was the notification received by his family, and the notification I received was "I will not go out unless it is necessary for 1114 days."

The blogger also said that this does not seem to be a scam because everyone who has been to the nucleic acid booth to do nucleic acid has been notified, "Everyone has been sentenced to different days, 730 days, 1114 days, 2000 days, 4422 days...I don't know which one. It's true", "Currently known varies from 2 to 13 years".

There are also other Weibo netizens who have posted the notices they have received, showing that the specific "epidemic-related area" is around Lane 299, Jinyao South Road, Jiading District. and many more.

According to the Shanghai official report on 5 October, the west area of Greenland Xinjiangqiao, Lane 299, Jinyao South Road, Jiangqiao Town, Jiading District, is listed as a "medium risk area".

A local Weibo netizen disclosed that nearly 3,000 people in the entire community were identified as second-close contacts due to a covi-positive case in Lane 299, Jinyao South Road. Go home and ask to "not go out unless absolutely necessary" for three days, or "suffer the legal consequences".

According to the screenshot posted by the netizen, the friend received a text message notification that "not to go out unless it is necessary for 3 days". This notice appears to be a "normal notice".

For those notices of "do not go out unless necessary" for a few years, netizens suspected that it might be a programmer error, who mistakenly inserted the "risk personnel" code or random verification code into the "non-essential do not go out" deadline.

These screenshots of text messages show that two different messaging platforms are sending out normal notifications and error notifications. One of the two numbers for sending text messages starts with 1068 and the other starts with 1069 but both numbers end in 491629. Both 1068 and 1069 are based on short message interfaces provided directly by China Mobile, China Unicom, and telecommunications services. Registrars can register numbers starting with 1068 or 1069 to send text messages to designated numbers in batches or customized messages.

The Shanghai official's notice to "do not go out unless it is necessary" for ten years has sparked discussions among netizens. Some people questioned: "Who has the final say if it is necessary or unnecessary?" Others exclaimed: "This is not the same as a sentence?"

Some netizens also interpreted it pessimistically. If you are not allowed to go out for ten years, doesn't it mean that the "dynamic clearing" policy will remain unchanged for ten years? Someone left a message: "Just give me an injection of euthanasia... How much is the price..."

After the Chinese National Day holidays, various places have upgraded control again. Jingzhou City, Hubei Province announced that from the afternoon of the 6th, vehicles in the central urban area will be subject to "red light control", just like the closure of the city. Many people fled Hubei before the control measures were escalated.

In the past day, many cities in China have raised their prevention and control levels, including Haikou in Hainan, Taiyuan in Shanxi, Shuozhou, Jinzhong, Xinzhou, and Tumoteyou Banner in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. Many places carry out so-called static management. That is, the lockdown of the cities, causing public grievances.

Mr. Wang from the mainland: "Now the common people are panicking. After today, I don't know if they will be banned tomorrow. They have the final say. Symptoms, to scare the common people, and to make it clear to you, just to open the 20th National Congress."

Some people in Jingzhou, Hubei said that they woke up early and found that the central city was surrounded. They did not care about packing their luggage and preparing food, and left Hubei before the city was closed.

The Jingzhou Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters notified that from 4 pm on 6 October 2022, vehicles in the central city will be subject to red light control. Except for some emergency vehicles and military and police vehicles, other social vehicles will not be allowed to drive on the road.

According to the official announcement, on 5 October, Hubei added 48 new covi-positive infections, including 13 in Jingzhou City. Due to the CCP's habit of concealing the epidemic, the actual number of infections may be higher.

A hotel waiter in Jingzhou: "In Jingzhou, the epidemic prevention and control is indeed the hotel industry has also suspended business, because it implements some openings after control, after 6 o'clock today, it is strict. If there is a traffic control, it has a relatively large and divided area, and if it is on the road now, cars may not be able to run at that time.”

Some netizens complained that they could not understand it. Jingzhou is also one of the top cities in Hubei. If the city is closed, it will not only shut down the entire city, but also make many people who go home from other places stranded. Some people said that the red light control in the central city of Jingzhou is like a city closure, blocking the last bus lane.

Parts of Wuhan, Hubei Province, have been adjusted to high-risk areas. The main urban area of Yunxi County, Shiyan  has been closed since the morning of the 6th, and Haoxue Town, Jiangling County, has also been controlled.

In addition to the leaders of EU member states, the UK, which has already left the EU, and the leaders of several countries waiting to join the EU also attended the summit, underscoring Russia's growing isolation in Europe.

Czech Prime Minister Peter Fiala: "The purpose (of the summit) is simple: to have a frank discussion on issues of mutual interest, and also to communicate on controversial topics."

Condemning Russia's invasion and illegal annexation of Ukraine was one of the themes of the day.

German Chancellor Scholz: "It is clear that all the leaders who come here to meet know that Russia's attack on Ukraine is a barbaric violation of the security and peaceful order in Europe for decades."

Iceland's Prime Minister Katrin Jacobsdottir: "I think what we're going to see here is that Europe is united against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, united against this war of aggression."

Energy security is also the focus of the summit.

French Prime Minister Macron: "I think our countries are launching their own economic strategies, which is very important, but today we have a European strategy first, which is also very important, a strategy to reduce the price of natural gas."

Macron said leaders would discuss strategies to lower energy prices, decide whether to cap natural gas prices, and discuss plans to reform the electricity market.

At present, Russia has completely cut off gas supply to Europe via Nord Stream 1, making the hope that European energy prices return to normal levels even more remote.

Germany, France and other major economic powers have invested heavily in the rescue plan, which has made some European countries without financial capacity worry that the fairness of the market will be damaged. The differences between countries on energy prices will also bring uncertainty to the outcome of the discussions at the summit.

President Tsai Ing-wen of the Republic of China was invited by the Washington think tank "Global Taiwan Research Center" on 5 October 2022, in a seminar on the theme of US-Taiwan relations, published an online Opening speech.

She said Taiwan would not rely on other countries for its defense; global solidarity was the key to addressing common challenges.

President Tsai Ing-wen pointed out at the beginning that the rules-based international order is facing unprecedented challenges - in Europe, Russia invaded Ukraine; in Asia, the status quo in the Taiwan Strait has been destroyed, threatening regional security and international trade.

Tsai Ing-wen, President of the Republic of China: "China (the Communist Party) has undermined the status quo in the Taiwan Strait with continuous military exercises, gray area operations, and intrusion of warships, personnel, and drones into the surrounding areas of Taiwan."

Tsai Ing-wen pointed out that threats faced by a country or region will translate into increasing threats to its neighboring countries.

Tsai Ing-wen: "Global solidarity is the key to countering authoritarian expansion, defending democracy and meeting common challenges."

Tsai Ing-wen said that Taiwan is not fighting alone, but also stressed that Taiwan will not rely solely on other countries for defense.

Tsai Ing-wen: "We have significantly increased our defense budget, including strengthening asymmetric combat capabilities, weapon upgrades, and national construction of national ships. Earlier this year, we established the National Defense Mobilization Agency to strengthen the integration of reserve soldier training and national defense."

Since Biden took office, the White House has approved six arms sales to Taiwan. If the Taiwan Policy Act is successfully enacted, it will be more conducive to the sale of arms to Taiwan by the United States.

In addition, Tsai Ing-wen also raised the importance of fighting against disinformation and hybrid warfare. A few days ago, the Taiwanese government launched the first official English-language TV channel "Taiwan Plus" to counter the CCP's propaganda campaign against Taiwan.

Preliminary investigation completed, Nord Stream pipeline was deliberately blown up

Reporter : Qiao An / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/10/07/a103545493.html / Image : Video Screenshot

A new discovery has been made on the suspected explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipeline. On 6 October, the Swedish Security Service announced that the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines were deliberately damaged.

On Thursday, the Swedish Security Agency issued a statement saying that it had completed a preliminary investigation into the leak of the Nord Stream natural gas pipeline and found that "explosives detonated near the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in the Swedish Economic Zone", further corroborating the outside world speculation on the vandalism of the Nord Stream natural gas pipeline.

Investigators said evidence from the scene had been retrieved and analysis was underway, and the waters surrounding the leaking pipeline would also be lifted. But it was not revealed how the blast happened or who might be responsible for the blast.

Meanwhile, Danish police are still investigating other Nord Stream leaks in their own exclusive economic zone, but declined to provide an update.

That day, Russia continued to protest its refusal to participate in the investigation.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zakharova: "How can the investigation of the Nord Stream incident be carried out without the participation of the country to which it belongs?"

Russia said it was incomprehensible that Western members of the UN Security Council not only refused to invite Russia to investigate, but even did not allow Russia to join the investigations that were already underway.

On the same day, Norwegian authorities announced that they would restrict Russian fishing boats from entering Norwegian ports, suggesting that the Nord Stream pipeline was damaged or linked to Russia.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Whitfelt: "Recently, with Russia's unacceptable annexation of Ukraine, attacks on the Baltic gas pipeline, and increased drone activity, serious developments have led the (Norwegian) government to further Enhance security measures."

However, the Russian side has always refuted that the Nord Stream pipeline was deliberately destroyed by Russia, and accused the United States and European allies of deliberately sabotaging the Nord Stream pipeline to obtain huge profits from the sale of natural gas.
