Spokesperson Luo Yijun announced that last week, there were an average of 99 new cases of local covid per day, slightly less than the previous week. The two local cases of "Arcturus" mutant strain XBB.1.16 appeared for the first time, both of which were females in the north, but neither of them were severe cases.
Luo Yijun pointed out that last week (21 to 27 April) there were an average of 99 new locally confirmed cases of COVID-19 per day, which was slightly higher than the daily average of 93 new cases in the previous week (4/14-4/20).
