Better eat meals at the hotel with the deposit amount by withholding it.

Review

Siam Mandarina Hotel is the most perfect airport hotel of Thailand, for aircraft-spotting, which can be done on the garden with airport view, accessible via the third floor fire emergency exit, on the rooftop and in rooms with airport view from levels four to six. The hotel's rooftop is however closed for redevelopment for three months to a year, according to the receptionst, when I arrive. Otherwise the rooftop gives guests much more beautiful views of Suvarnabhumi runway and aircraft taking off for other city airports.

In November 2023, the sales department staff "new" informed me renovation has not started and upon request to the receptionist, I can go to the rooftop between 7 pm and 8 pm.

Siam Mandarina Hotel imposes a damage refundable deposit of 2000 Baht on guests checking-in at the hotel but the receptionist explains that this is imposed on smokers and errant property breakers. I am happy that I can use the deposit to pay for meals in the hotel restaurant without paying the deposit upfront.

The hotel restaurant Crystal Restaurant needs to provide fruits and salads for breakfast although they are available for lunch and dinner 24-hours. Vegetarian food is sold by the restaurant. Siam Mandarina Hotel is friendly to all guests and welcomes vegetarians to stay at the hotel.

Siam Mandarina Hotel is of fast and quick access to other parts of King Kaew and Lat Krabang by taxi. I travel to Suvarnabhumi 3 Road for another direction of aircraft-spotting by taxi from the hotel direct but on the way back to the hotel, I need to transit at Suvarnabhumi Airport via the airport shuttle bus service at either outside the huge parking lot of Suvarnabhumi or along Ron Klao Road outside Thai Airways Operation Centre and it costs 150 Baht by short-distance airport taxi. The taxi does not bring me back direct from the Bangchak gas station of Suvarnabhumi 3 Road to the hotel and I believe this applies to travel to Lat Krabang hotels from Suvarnabhumi 3 Road.
