China Airlines and Taipei MRT launch "Air Express Coupon"

In order to attract independent international tourists who come to Taiwan, China Airlines has cooperated with Taipei MRT to launch the "Air Express Coupon". From now until 28 February 2025, passengers who purchase China Airlines international tickets to enter Taiwan can use their boarding pass, passport and purchase voucher, to purchase Beijie 72-hour tickets at a discounted price. The discounted price for the first month of the event is 34% off, NT$250 per ticket, and NT$320 per ticket from 1 October  to 28 February 2025.

Taipei is the city that most international tourists visit first after entering the country. Well-known attractions include Taipei 101, Lungshan Temple, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Ximending, and Tamsui.

China Airlines stated today (2nd) that passengers who purchase China Airlines international tickets to enter Taiwan from now until February 28 next year must present their boarding pass, passport and purchase voucher to the designated counter of Yifei.com (Taoyuan Airport) within 7 days after arriving in Taiwan. At Terminals 1 and 2 and Taoyuan MRT A1 Taipei Station, tourists can purchase Taipei MRT 72-hour tickets at a discounted price.

China Airlines explained that before 30 September 2024, tourists can purchase an additional 72-hour Taipei MRT ticket at a 34% discount. The discount price is 250 NTD each. The average MRT fare per day is about 80 NTD; from 1 October to 28 February 2025, passengers can add Purchase Taipei MRT 72-hour tickets at a discounted price of NT$320 each.

China Airlines said that the Taipei MRT 72-hour travel ticket can be used for unlimited rides on Taipei Metro within the validity period. Destinations covered include Maokong Cable Car, Children's New Paradise, National Palace Museum, National Taiwan Museum, Ximen Red Building, Pocket Museum, and MRT merchandise. Museum, Beitou Guild Hall's "Journey", and well-known merchants along the MRT lines offer gifts and discounts.
