According to Sichuan Observation, good news came from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, which was under construction on 12 October 2020. Together with the No. 2 tower completed at the end of September, the construction of the air traffic control twin towers has basically ended.

After the next step is handed over to the air traffic control department, the tower will enter the stage of installation and commissioning of secret-related equipment.

Chengdu Tianfu International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower 1 is 99.9 meters high and is the tallest building in the airport area. The shape of the tower resembles a holy bird hovering upwards, echoing the intentional design of the holy bird in the terminal building.

The air traffic control project of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport will be completed and accepted by the end of this year. The terminal control center is expected to be put into operation first in April 2021, and the air traffic control district and towers 1 and 2 will be put into operation simultaneously with the Tianfu Airport project.
