The T1 and T2 terminals have a total construction area of ​​710,000 square meters, which is the first domestic "hand in hand" structure. Under the premise of meeting the passenger throughput, this design can reduce the straight-line distance from the security check to the boarding gate. This also makes Tianfu International Airport the first airport in the country to construct two terminals at once.

GTC is a comprehensive transportation transfer center between and connecting the T1 and T2 terminals. It can realize the seamless connection of passengers entering and leaving the port with high-speed rail, subway, expressway, and personal rapid transit. Adjacent to GTC, parking buildings and business hotels have also been built, which allows passengers to “seamlessly transfer” with the terminal building through GTC and quickly arrive at the hotel.
