Xiamen infected person diagnosed with lung lesion

A few days ago, an international cargo crew member of XiamenAir, surnamed Zhang, contracted the epidemic and infected several family members. According to reports, Zhang’s son has been diagnosed with a lesion in his lungs.

Xiamen officials reported on 30 July that Zhang, an international cargo crew member of Xiamen Airlines, tested positive during the nucleic acid test. Subsequently, three of his family members who lived together tested positive for nucleic acid. Among the 4 cases of infection, 2 were confirmed cases and 2 were asymptomatic infections. The housekeeping staff in his family was also infected.

After the outbreak at XiamenAir, a total of 41 flights were cancelled on 30 July, and a total of 38 flights on 31 July were cancelled and all intercontinental cargo flights from the evening of 30 July to the end of August were cancelled.

Xiamen Daily reported on 4 August, citing news from relevant parties that Zhang, who had previously announced asymptomatic infection (the son of confirmed case Zhang), developed a lung lesion on 3 August and was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

The newspaper reported on 3 August that Du, the previously announced asymptomatic infection (wife of confirmed case Zhang), developed fever and other symptoms on 2 August and was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

A mainland netizen said, “His babysitter has also been diagnosed.” “Isn’t it diagnosed if you are asymptomatic? Most of them don’t transfer (diagnosed) sooner or later? Self-deception data.” “Obviously asymptomatic infection is not an infection? You have to wait for symptoms. Is it an infection?" "It makes people flustered."

Fujianese citizen Ms. Li told The Epoch Times, “Anyway, it seems to be very nervous now. It is very terrible to see that the (Xiamen) airport has stopped and the crew was infected first. People in the entire airport are easily infected, which is terrifying!"

An epidemic broke out at Nanjing Lukou Airport on 20 July, and it quickly spread to more than ten provinces in the mainland. Due to poor epidemic prevention, on 23 July, Feng Jun, the party secretary and chairman of Nanjing Airport's parent company, Eastern Airport Group Co., Ltd., was suspended and Qian Kaifa acted as party secretary and chairman of the board.

Lu Media quoted an on-site staff member as saying that although the case was detected at Lukou Airport on the 20th, the interviewee still risked the risk of infection and commuted to get off work as usual on 21 and 22 July.

On 3 August, a foreign airline cargo service staff (53 years old) in the cargo area of Shanghai Pudong Airport was also diagnosed. His profession is a driver and he is responsible for the closed-loop transportation of foreign airlines' cargo plane crew to Pudong Airport.

Recently, the number of people that contracted covid in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, has continued to rise. The number of people infected has now risen to 94, most of whom are from the "chess and card room group." . Local authorities allege that a woman named Mao from Nanjing deliberately concealed her journey and caused the epidemic to spread. The police have detained her for criminal purposes. Currently, Yangzhou is in a state of "quasi-closure".

On 3 August, the Yangzhou Municipal Government Information Office held the fifth press conference on epidemic prevention and control. Wang Jinsong, Deputy Director of the Yangzhou Municipal Health Commission, reported that from 0-24 o'clock on 2 August, 40 newly confirmed local cases were reported in Yangzhou, and a total of 94 local confirmed cases were reported (including 31 cases of light type, 61 cases of common type, and 2 cases of severe type) and 2 cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections. However, given that the Chinese Communist Party has consistently concealed the truth about the epidemic, the actual infection data is not known to the outside world.

According to mainland Chinese media reports, since the two confirmed cases were discovered in Yangzhou on 28 July, the number of infected people has continued to rise, and 64% of the infected people are people who enter or stay in the chess room. Among the 94 people who have been diagnosed, the oldest patient is 87 years old. The Nanjing old lady Mao Mouning, who triggered this wave of Yangzhou epidemic, was accused of deliberately concealing her itinerary, and was detained by the Yangzhou City Public Security Department on July 29 on suspicion of obstructing the prevention and control of infectious diseases.

The Hanjiang Branch of the Public Security Bureau of Yangzhou issued a notice on 3 August, stating that 64-year-old Mao Mouning lived with his sister after arriving in Yangzhou from Nanjing by bus on 21 July. From 21 to 27 July, Mao failed to actively report the Nanjing residence history to the community as required, and frequented many highly densely populated restaurants, shops, clinics, chess and card rooms, farmer’s markets and other places in downtown Yangzhou. The epidemic spread in downtown Yangzhou.

Previously, the Yangzhou City Public Security Bureau issued a notice on 2 August, requiring all personnel entering and exiting Yangzhou’s chess and card rooms since July 21 to take the initiative to report to the community or dial "110", and all stay at home and wait for community arrangements. Perform nucleic acid testing. The announcement even offered a reward to encourage other residents to report people who had been in and out of the chess and card room around them.

At present, local authorities have classified the area where the chess and card room is located as high-risk areas, and another 29 areas have been classified as medium-risk areas.

At present,  Yangzhou is in a state of "quasi-closure". The official announcement is that from 12 am on the 3rd, all communities will be closed for management. Only one entrance and exit will be reserved for a community, and there will be more than two people on duty 24 hours a day, and other entrances and exits. All closed. Only one person per household can enter and leave the community to purchase daily necessities with the pass, health code, travel code, and negative nucleic acid test certificate per day. Since 21 July, the health codes of personnel involved in key urban areas and high-risk locations have been displayed as "yellow codes" or "red codes", and actions have been strictly controlled. At the same time, the access channels in the main urban area of Yangzhou are also strictly controlled, and checkpoints have been set up on the roads bordering other provinces and cities.

According to information published on the website of the Organization Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee of the CCP, the Standing Committee of the Yangzhou Municipal People’s Congress formally decided on 2 August to accept the request of Yangzhou Mayor Zhang Baojuan to resign and appoint Wang Jinjian as the deputy mayor and acting mayor of Yangzhou. The relevant notification did not mention whether the appointment and removal decision was related to the current outbreak in Yangzhou.

"Wonderland on earth" turned into a toxic cave? Zhangjiajie locked down

On 3 August 2021, Hunan Zhangjiajie Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters issued Order No. 20 of this year, requiring that from that day onwards, "residents and tourists in Zhangjiajie will not leave Zhangjiajie."

The authorities reported that yesterday there were 3 newly confirmed cases of local confirmed patients in Zhangjiajie, and 1 case of asymptomatic infection. Among them, Zhong XX is a waiter in a restaurant. He went to Sang Zhi with 13 colleagues on 30 July. A 7-year-old elementary school girl Zeng XX had a dinner with 8 other people at her home on 27 July. The other two also have a larger area of contact with people.

In the Weibo video released by the Hunan authorities, there were anti-epidemic personnel carrying medicine boxes and spraying and disinfecting them in different places. The tourists are no longer visible in the film, and the atmosphere on the scene is a bit tense and depressing. This tourist attraction, once known as the "Wonderland on Earth", now seems to have become a "toxic cave."

On 2 August morning, the 13 shelter nucleic acid testing laboratories temporarily established in Zhangjiajie Aviation Industry Vocational and Technical College have all been put into use. More than 160 medical workers mobilized by the authorities from Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places are assisting the entire city in conducting full-staff testing.

Although the word "lock down" did not appear in the order of the authorities, the strict measures forbidding everyone from leaving Zhangjiajie are actually another way of saying that the city is closed. Perhaps it is because the term "lock down" is too sensitive, the authorities are very cautious in using it.

In fact, since 28 July, Zhangjiajie has implemented traffic control on all roads in the city's districts, all residential communities have implemented closed management, and all communities have implemented grid prevention and control. In a sense, Zhangjiajie at that time was already equivalent to locking down the city.

This time, Zhangjiajie adopted a one-size-fits-all approach, with more stringent measures. This command caused this "hot" city to be forced to press the "pause button", and suddenly lost the hustle and bustle of the past, and temporarily quieted down under the forced order.

The authorities' measures to lock down the city are obviously to curb the spread of the epidemic. But I have to say that Zhangjiajie’s lockdown measures have been a little late. The delta variant virus that originated at Nanjing Lukou Airport has spread from Zhangjiajie to many provinces and cities across the country.

According to the information reported by the authorities, although the outbreaks discovered in 15 provinces across the country including Beijing, Sichuan, and Hubei, although they originated in Nanjing, Jiangsu, they all spread in Zhangjiajie. Many confirmed patients across the country have recently travelled to Zhangjiajie. In other words, Zhangjiajie has become the second major source of infection after Nanjing.

The CCP's queen expert Zhong Nanshan named Zhangjiajie, a scenic spot in Hunan. The large-scale song and dance show that had been diagnosed by the audience previously had 2,600 seats next to each other in the theater. This is "the most worrying."

The large-scale singing and dancing show mentioned by Zhong Nanshan refers to the "Charming Xiangxi". According to the official customer service of Zhangjiajie Tourism, "Charming Xiangxi" is divided into two parts, indoor and outdoor, and indoor performances are relatively closed. 2,600 people crowded into a closed theater, which meant that everyone in the theatre could be infected.

Nanjing upgraded prevention and control after approval, Nanjing wants to build a "disease-free community"

Nanjing, as the starting place of this wave of epidemics, has been under great pressure. On 2 August the Nanjing authorities were criticized by name, accusing them of lax thinking about epidemic prevention and control, causing the epidemic to get out of control.

The Jiangsu Provincial Standing Committee pointed out at the meeting that the root cause of the Nanjing clustered epidemic was "a lax ideology, which led to loopholes in work." It is required to "take strong measures" to block the chain of virus transmission, reduce unnecessary flows, and so on.

The Nanjing authorities, who were named and criticized, immediately upgraded the epidemic prevention and control measures again and demanded that "excellent measures" be used for epidemic prevention and control.

The Nanjing Epidemic Headquarters stated in the latest announcement that in order to effectively stop the spread of the epidemic, some subway and bus routes will be suspended to avoid high-risk areas such as Lukou Airport to reduce the risk of people gathering in confined spaces and cross-infection.

The notice also stated that it will further strengthen the prevention and control of business premises. Except for the key people's livelihood guarantee supply enterprises, all kinds of shopping malls and wholesale markets in Jiangning District will be temporarily suspended from the 3rd. Supermarkets and farmer's markets in the whole district implement flow restrictions, and the maximum passenger flow "does not exceed 50% of the normal passenger flow."

In addition, the Nanjing authorities will also create an "epidemic-free community", that is, from the date of declaration, it will be pushed forward for more than 14 days. There are no confirmed or asymptomatic infections of the CCP virus; no case has been in close contact with the confirmed patient within 14 days nor close contact with personnel.

It can be seen that the conditions and requirements for the creation of this "epidemic-free community" are very high. If you want to declare a community that is "free of epidemics," residents there may be restricted from moving more strictly, and it is likely that they can only stay home for a long time.

Because as long as people have outdoor activities, they may come into contact with patients or close contacts. For CCP officials who want to “stabilize” and pursue political achievements, this is obviously not conducive to declaring “epidemic-free communities” and not conducive to putting money on their faces. Therefore, as long as the communities that want to declare the "anti-epidemic communities", more stringent containment measures are likely to appear.

Yangzhou locked down, Covi72 still spreads

Among the 90 newly diagnosed patients nationwide on 2 August, there were 61 local cases, and Jiangsu Province ranked first with 45 cases. Among them, there are 5 cases in Nanjing and 40 cases in Yangzhou.

Although Nanjing was the first place of this epidemic, the numbers reported in these two days were relatively small. However, Yangzhou was the last one, surpassing Nanjing for two consecutive days.

Starting at midnight of 3 August, Yangzhou's prevention and control measures have become more stringent. The Yangzhou Epidemic Control Headquarters stated in the notice, “Except for the main urban areas of the closed community, the implementation of upgraded sealing control management measures, including the closed control management community only retains one entrance and exit, and ensures that there are more than 2 people on duty 24 hours, and all other entrances and exits are closed. ."

The notice also requires that each household is limited to one person per day, and can enter and exit the community (natural village) and purchase daily necessities with the pass and health code, itinerary code, and nucleic acid negative certificate produced by each community and village group.

As for personnel involved in the national economy and people’s livelihood industry and epidemic prevention and control positions such as municipal services, medical and health, public safety, life security, etc., they can enter and exit the community with a uniformly issued pass issued by the city or district headquarters, and at the same time show the Sukang code, itinerary code and the negative nucleic acid test certificate.

Yangzhou has delineated 1 high-risk area and 29 medium-risk areas. Many communities are strictly closed, and relevant residents are required to stay home.

According to a report from Yangzhou, all domestic flights in and out of Yangzhou have been suspended. At the same time, bus, taxi, online car-hailing and ride-hailing services in the main urban area are also suspended; all passenger routes and tourist charters entering and exiting the main urban area have been suspended; 20 highway toll gates around Yangzhou, all car ferries and inter-city ferries, All external transshipment operations of all ports and terminals have been suspended.

Mr. Liu, a resident of Wutang community in Yangzhou's high-risk area, told The Epoch Times that the scale of the closure of Yangzhou this time exceeds 2020. He said, "Yangzhou is all closed, highways, roads, entrances and exits are closed, we are all closed here, we can't go out, and several communities have been cordoned off."

Mr. Liu said, “When there was an epidemic last year, Yangzhou was not as severe as this year. There are only a few places that have it. This year, it will be by our side.”

3 August is the 5th day of the closure of Wutang community, but Mr. Liu revealed that as of yesterday, new confirmed cases have appeared every day, and a dozen or even more than 20 people have been taken away every day but the official did not announce where these people were directed to.

First case of concealed covid patient in criminal detention, authorities reward whistleblowers

While Yangzhou was completely shutting down the city, it was still deliberately expanding its influence. Criminal detained the first patient who concealed itinerary-64-year-old Ms. Mao.

The Yangzhou police reported that the first local confirmed patient, Mao X, took a bus from Nanjing to Yangzhou on 21 July and was staying at his sister's house. From the 21st to the 24th, he went to the chess room to play cards every day. On 27 July, due to cough and fever, he went to the hospital for treatment by himself.

According to the police, Mao did not take the initiative to report Nanjing’s travel history to the community as required, and frequent activities in highly densely populated restaurants, shops, clinics, chess and card rooms, and farmer’s markets, which caused the epidemic to spread in downtown Yangzhou. When the police investigated, Mao refused to tell about his itinerary after arriving in Yangzhou. Therefore, Mao was criminally detained on suspicion of obstructing the prevention and control of infectious diseases.

According to the Yangzhou Municipal Health Commission, among the patients currently found in Yangzhou, at least 24 have been in and out of the chess and card room in downtown Yangzhou before the diagnosis, and at least 4 patients have had close contacts with patients who have got in touch with the covid case in and out of the chess and card room.

Mr. Liu mentioned earlier that there are many chess and card rooms in Yangzhou, and many people go to play cards. Some chess and card rooms have more than one hundred tables, each with 4 people, as well as waiters and cleaners.

Based on the situation introduced by Mr. Liu, the epidemic in Yangzhou may also have a very large-scale cluster infection.

Please note that many of these people who go to the chess and card room to play cards do not know each other, and it is impossible for them to have contact with each other.

For this reason, Yangzhou has set up a "rewarded report" specifically to find people involved in the epidemic related to the chess and card room. Successful reporting can receive a reward of 5,000 yuan. If the reported person is diagnosed as positive, the bonus will be doubled.

It can be seen from these practices that the Yangzhou authorities are very nervous. But it is probably to keep the official position, not for the people sincerely. Speaking of the common people, the Wuhan citizens who have been traumatized are very nervous after the authorities have adopted strict epidemic prevention measures.

13.5 million people will be fully tested, "Pandemic Capital" Wuhan locked down

At noon of 3 August, the Wuhan Municipal Government announced that all residents of the city must undergo nucleic acid testing. Officials from the municipal government stated at the epidemic briefing that because Wuhan is an important transportation hub in the country with high mobility of people, testing "must be completed in the fastest and shortest time."

The latest data show that the permanent population of Wuhan is 13.515 million. In the early hours of this morning, the Wuhan Metro announced that indoor rail transit will implement "pass through with masks, temperature measurement, and bright codes." Another 23 bus lines have been suspended from the 3rd.

All offline education, teaching, and gathering activities in Wuhan for junior and senior high school graduation grade make-up classes, research trips, freshman training, private education training, etc., will be suspended from the 3rd.

A Wuhan resident, Mr. Zhang, told Radio Free Asia that more than a dozen communities have been blocked, including Jianghan Road, a prosperous section of the Yangtze River in Wuhan. Now people can only stay at home and cannot go anywhere.

This series of signs show that Wuhan, a city that was once madly ravaged by the virus, has entered a state of "lockdown".

In fact, starting 2 August, the entire Hubei Province has entered a "wartime state." Because yesterday Hubei found 3 new confirmed cases,

Seven cases were found in Wuhan, while two cases were found in Jingmen. Therefore, Hubei Provincial Party Committee Secretary Ying Yong chaired the epidemic prevention work meeting yesterday, announcing that the province has entered a wartime state and activated all levels of epidemic prevention mechanisms.

Immediately, the authorities demanded that people should reduce their mobility, not leaving provinces, cities, and counties unless they are necessary, or not where they are located in medium- and high-risk areas. Train stations, bus stations, airports, docks and highway exits will all implement code verification and temperature measurement, and set up 24-hour nucleic acid certification inspection points.

In Wuhan now, all residents who are listed as medium-risk areas are strictly prohibited from going out. Each family is limited to one person, who can go out to purchase living security supplies within a specified time.

These actions by the authorities, especially the "lockdown" measures in Wuhan, have made Wuhan citizens who have survived 76 days of "closing the city" in panic and helplessness like a frightened bird. They did not know if the city would be closed again, so out of instinctual protection, they had to rush to buy food in case of emergency.

The price of food in the market soars

The supermarket where Mr. Zhang's wife works has received a notice from the local government that all shops are not allowed to increase prices. But it is clear that people no longer believe in the CCP’s promise and continue to panic buying and hoarding food.

A person named "@出版社人周筠" wrote on Weibo: "When I can't buy shredded pork on Hema (e-commerce), I am slow. When He can't buy hind leg meat immediately. , I’m still dull, thinking about how the pork is selling so fast these days. Today, Wuhan issued an announcement on nucleic acid testing for all employees, and it suddenly dawned on me that I went to Hema again to see what I wanted! I rushed to buy a few. The local chicken delivered tomorrow."

In fact, the price of market vegetables in Wuhan has soared today (3rd). Some netizens disclosed that the pork in Wuhan's market has risen from 15 yuan a catty to 28 yuan, and a pack of rice has risen from 60 yuan to 88 yuan. Even so, "all was robbed."

Mr. Zhang said that the citizens of Wuhan are afraid of being locked up at home again, rushing to buy stored food in order to deal with a possible real lockdown. The vegetable vendors outside have raised prices, and the supermarket has been sold out.

The photo shows that people are buying a lot in supermarkets in Wuhan. Shelves such as eggs and frozen food are empty, and there are long lines of citizens waiting to check out.

Mr. Zhang said, “There are so many people buying things, and everything is sold out at once, because there are some essential items in the home. Everyone is wary this time, because the people in Wuhan have experienced the epidemic in the past years and are very experienced. NS."

An netizen named "Xiaohui" wrote on Weibo yesterday (2nd), "Tonight, Wuhan supermarkets have basically been hoarded. It can be seen that the citizens of Wuhan only have the stock of goods. A sense of security is enough to have enough confidence to face the upcoming lockdown."

Another Wuhan netizen "@黑音耶耶" saw the scene of Wuhan's berserk looting of supplies and said, "I don't think it is worth criticizing or ridiculing the seemingly ridiculous panic of Wuhan people. We have experienced the most  helpless city, we are the city where we wear masks most consciously and for the longest time. We are a group of people who may have psychological trauma!"

"@黑音耶耶" wrote, "On the Internet, people in Wuhan are ridiculed, and the supermarket shelves are empty at the same time. But in fact, I want to say that it is because each of us in Wuhan should be prepared. ,When the government ordered to stay at home again, we can cooperate quickly. For Wuhan’s performance today, there are only two words: distressed! Then I want to say that we know how many people have been hurt so badly. What a pain!"

There are only 6 cases of patients reported in 15 communities, outbreak of Beijing epidemic

This round of epidemic has been detected in 31 provincial administrative regions across the country, including Beijing. The official city media Beijing Daily reported on 3 August that the Beijing Municipal Epidemic Control Team met, emphasizing the promotion of control registration in Beijing, and "strictly guard against death at all costs" to ensure the safety of the capital.

The Beijing Municipal Epidemic Control Team requires that the close contact and the second close contact should be locked at the first time to ensure that no one is missed. The communities, buildings, and other areas and venues where the cases are located are strictly sealed and controlled, and home observers do not leave their homes, and perform nucleic acid tests for all employees at the same time.

Beijing refuses to allow travelers to enter Beijing from high-risk areas, strictly restricts entry to Beijing from areas where cases have occurred, and suspends flights, trains, and passenger trains entering Beijing. Railway, civil aviation and highway checkpoints are strictly inspected and so on.

Judging from Beijing’s prevention and control measures, it is indeed a bit of a "strictly guard against death" posture. But will the virus be so obedient? Can the spread of the virus be cut off by blocking the flow of people? This is a big question.

According to the past situation, some people stay at home and are still infected without contact with the outside world. Therefore, we can only observe quietly the so-called "strictly guard against death" by the authorities.

Judging from the reported figures, there are only 6 confirmed cases in Beijing. However, if there are only 6 confirmed cases, does Beijing need such a big move? Analyzed from this perspective, the prevention and control measures adopted by Beijing to "strictly guard against death and death" may be because the epidemic situation in Beijing is very serious.

On 2 August, I received a revelation from a netizen, which was a list of the epidemic communities in Beijing. The districts and counties of the confirmed patients, suspected cases, etc., and the response measures taken are listed on it.

Judging from the report form, as of 5 pm on 3 April, only Huairou District, Pinggu District, Miyun District and Yanqing District of the 16 jurisdictions in Beijing did not have an epidemic. A community in Shijingshan District was strictly managed, and others Of the 11 districts and counties are not peaceful.

The form shows that at least 15 communities in Beijing have confirmed cases. Among them, there are five in Chaoyang District, one case each in Wangjing Xiyuan District 1, Huateng Park, Beiyuan No. 1 Garden, Lincui Road No. 10 Yard, and Aolin Spring.

Among the other 10 communities with confirmed cases, 2 in Haidian District, respectively in Guanjing Garden and Haidian Baiwang Jasmine Park Xierqi Kongyan BD Hospital; Fengtai District also has 3, respectively in Yijin Garden and Yuanyang Natural And Wannian Flower City. In addition, there is one in Dongcheng District, Building No. 6 Chongwenmen Street; one in Daxing District, one in Yujing Garden, one in Huilongguan, Changping District, one in Longjin Garden, and one in Fangshan District, Tianrui Jiayuan.

The control measures taken by the authorities for these communities with confirmed cases are "strictly closed management." For those communities with suspected cases, the measures taken are "strict access control", and there are a total of 40 in this part. It involves Beijing Shijingshan District, Shunyi District, Mentougou District, Xicheng District, Haidian District, Fengtai District, Tongzhou District, Changping District and Chaoyang District. Among them, many villages in Majuqiao Town, Chaoyang District have been closed.

Judging from these circumstances, the epidemic in Beijing is already quite serious. As far as the confirmed cases are concerned, confirmed cases have been found in 15 communities. Even if there is only one patient in each community, the Beijing authorities have concealed 9 cases.

So in a community with confirmed cases, maybe there is only one case? The table is not marked with numbers, so it is not easy for us to draw conclusions. But this is quite doubtful. Is it possible for them to infect others before they are diagnosed? This possibility is very high.

In the 40 communities with suspected cases, how many suspected cases are there? There is no indication in the form. So, of these suspected cases, how many people will eventually be diagnosed? This is also a considerable question. Will these suspected cases be transmitted to other people before they are diagnosed? The possibility is also very high.

Through this analysis, we can know that the epidemic situation in Beijing is already very serious. The actual infection situation may be several times or even more than the number reported by the authorities. In other words, Beijing is likely to have a major outbreak.

Rare! National suspension of sports events

On 2 August, the General Administration of Sports of the Communist Party of China notified all localities to take countermeasures and urged the implementation of the prevention and control strategy of "external defense import and internal defense rebound". Under this order, sporting events have been halted on a large scale in a very rare place across the country.

The Athletics Association notified on its official website that the series of track and field leagues that were originally scheduled to be held in Panjin, Liaoning from 4 to 6 August and in Dalian from 20 to 22 August were postponed. The Athletics Association did not give a specific extension time, only saying that it will be notified separately depending on the situation.

The Football Association was originally scheduled to have a series of youth football leagues, which will be held from 30 July to 20 August. At present, the Football Association has notified that the finals will be temporarily postponed to 10 to 31 August.

The Basketball Association also made a decision to suspend the NBL league from now on to ensure the safety and health of players. In addition, the Yunnan Sports Bureau notified that the three events of middle and long-distance running, wrestling and Wushu Sanda that have already started are carried out as originally planned. All other projects that have not yet started will be suspended and the time will be set separately.

Qingdao International Sailing Week and Qingdao International Ocean Festival also had to be postponed. According to the Qingdao authorities, the situation of epidemic prevention and control is "severe and complicated" because new local epidemics have been reported in many places across the country.

The daughter of the confirmed case in Macau flew on the same plane as the Nanjing-linked case

According to information released by Macau, the Macau Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center stated that the working place of the male confirmed in Macau is one of the driver’s rooms of the Department of Health. The scope of work is mainly the Shek Pai Wan Health Center and Coloane Health Station. After 24 July, there was no contact with other drivers in the driver’s room but for safety reasons, all drivers in the relevant driver’s room have been tested for viral nucleic acid, and the results will be announced later. The working place of the female confirmed case is a fruit stall in Yizi Street. The site has been sealed off and cleaned and disinfected immediately. Contacts will be arranged accordingly.

The daughter of the two has a history of traveling abroad. The Response Coordination Center initially assessed that this may be the cause of the cluster outbreak in the family. The couple's daughter took a flight from Zhuhai to Xi’an in the afternoon of 19 July for exchange activities. After verification by the joint prevention and control mechanism, the aircraft was related to two Nanjing-related cases (Nanjing-related Zhongshan case and Nanjing-related Zhuhai case).  After the two Nanjing-related cases arrived in Zhuhai on the plane, their daughter left Zhuhai on the plane.

According to the report, on 3 August, there were 9 newly confirmed local cases in Hubei and 3 local asymptomatic infections, all of whom were quarantined and closed managers at the same construction site in Wuhan.

On 2 August, Wuhan Economic Development Zone reported that seven migrant workers had tested positive for the covi nucleic acid. After receiving the report, Hubei Province and Wuhan  immediately organized relevant departments to perform whole-genome sequencing of case samples, comprehensively carry out epidemiological investigations, investigation and tracking of relevant personnel, sampling testing and isolation control, and implement terminal disinfection of relevant places and environments And other epidemic prevention measures.

Li Tao introduced that according to the results of whole-genome sequencing and epidemiological investigation reports, up to now, the epidemic has the following characteristics:

First, the same source of infection. Among the 7 cases notified by Wuhan on the 2nd, the sequencing results of 2 samples that have been completed showed that they were of Covi72, and were highly homologous to the native cases in Jiangsu this round. The second is a single transmission chain. The case Tang had an intersection with the activity trajectory of a tourist group in Huai'an, Jiangsu while waiting for the train at Jingzhou High-speed Railway Station on 27 July, and it was spread to roommates and workers after arriving in Wuhan. Third, the epidemic occurred at the same construction site, and most of the cases in this epidemic were related to the construction site.

In order to strictly control the leakage of the epidemic, Wuhan quickly sealed and controlled the relevant areas involved in the case. From 2 August 2021, Zhuankou Street in Wuhan Economic Development Zone has been designated as a medium-risk area, and the risk levels of other areas remain unchanged. Closed management is implemented in medium-risk areas, and the management measures of "only entry but no exit, no gathering" are implemented. In principle, each household is limited to one person to go out to purchase security materials at a specified time. All vehicles are strictly controlled. Except for medical ambulance vehicles, anti-epidemic work vehicles, vehicles transporting medical rescue supplies and residents’ daily necessities, and special vehicles such as fire fighting, rescue, environmental sanitation, and police vehicles, all vehicles are prohibited from passing.

As of 3 August, Wuhan has closed and managed 1 street, which is the Zhuankou Street in Wuhan Economic Development Zone, which includes 14 communities and 40 communities; except for Wuhan Economic Development Zone, 9 communities in other regions have been closed for management. In addition, closed management of 7 residential buildings is adopted. At present, special personnel have been arranged to be on duty 24 hours a day, and residents of the jurisdiction will conduct nucleic acid inspections uniformly.

In addition, Wuhan has opened up an isolation site to ensure that it should be separated. As of 7 a.m. on 4 August, the city has raised a total of about 3,1300 rooms, about 26,100 rooms have been used, and about 5,200 remaining rooms. It is expected that the city will raise another 9,000 isolation rooms in the next three days to ensure that the city should be separated.

In terms of market guarantee, Li Tao introduced that currently more than 200 stores, 58 home appliance companies, and more than 400 gas stations are open for business in Wuhan’s 13 major shopping malls. The city has sufficient stocks of daily necessities such as rice, noodles, grain, oil, meat, eggs, vegetables, and milk, with stable prices and normal supply.

According to the Hubei Provincial Health Commission, since 31 July, Hubei Province has reported a total of 15 local confirmed cases and 11 local asymptomatic infections. The cases were all infected by the delta mutant strain, and they were all previously announced related cases of confirmed cases in a tour group in Huai'an, Jiangsu.

CAAC adopted circuit breaker measures on 302 international scheduled passenger flights, reducing more than 2,300 imported cases

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) held a special press conference at 4.30 pm  on 3 August, at which Han Guangzu, Deputy Director of the Flight Standards Department, introduced the work of civil aviation epidemic prevention and control.

With the changes in the global epidemic situation, the spread of mutant strains of covi has increased. Since mid-May, clustered epidemics have occurred in many places in China, especially the clustered epidemics at Nanjing Lukou Airport and Zhangjiajie Scenic Spot have spread to the country's other provinces.

In accordance with the requirements of the leadership of the State Council, in order to strictly implement the overall requirements of external defense input, internal defense rebound, and personal defense, the CAAC is introducing its "tighter" prevention and control strategy.

First, the eighth edition of the technical guidelines for the prevention and control of epidemics in transport airlines and transport airports has been completed and will be released soon.

Specific adjustments are made in the following aspects:
First, detailed closure management measures for front-line staff at airports;
Second, encrypted civil aviation services to ensure the frequency of nucleic acid testing for all types of personnel;
Third, adjustment and optimization of aircrew entry isolation and health monitoring measures; Fourth, according to different types of work operational characteristics, strengthen the labor protection of employees.

Civil aviation administrative agencies at all levels will increase the supervision and inspection of the implementation of the technical guidelines by airlines and airports to ensure that all relevant units implement the relevant requirements in the guidelines into the operation manuals of each unit and strictly implement them.

Second, in response to the risks of overseas imports, more stringent fusing measures have been adopted. As an important channel for population flow and foreign exchanges, air transport is the frontier of internal non-proliferation and external defense input. It is an important battlefield for the overall national epidemic prevention and control battle.

Since the covi outbreak, the CAAC has conscientiously implemented the deployment requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council. While preventing "overseas import" to the utmost extent, it has made important contributions to ensuring the smooth flow of the international industrial chain and supply chain and necessary personnel exchanges.

At present, more than 230 international passenger flights are executed every week, which is 2.15% of 2019; nearly 3,700 international cargo flights are executed every week, which is 257.5% of 2019. Under the huge external defense input pressure, CAAC strictly implement the fusing measures for international passenger flights.

Since the implementation of the circuit breaker measures on 8 June 2020, as of 2 August 2021, civil aviation has successively adopted circuit breaker measures for 302 international scheduled passenger flights that have a high risk of epidemic input and triggered the circuit breaker mechanism, reducing a total of 621 inbound flights. It is expected to reduce more than 2300 imported cases. In the next step, CAAC will continue to resolutely implement strict flight circuit breaker policies based on changes in the epidemic situation and for overseas import risks.

Third, actively cooperate with relevant departments to evaluate the quarantine and disinfection standards and disinfection effects of inbound aircraft, and provide a more scientific basis for the cleaning, maintenance, and porters of the back-end aviation operations after entry to ensure that risks are available and controlled.

The prevention and control of the epidemic must not be slack at all times, and various prevention and control measures must be put in place. Civil aviation personnel will do their utmost to guard the airborne epidemic prevention and control line.

The CAAC will strengthen the supervision and inspection of the implementation of various civil aviation epidemic prevention and control policies, and establish rectifications and reforms for the discovered loopholes and weaknesses, and layered the work responsibilities.

Aiming at the characteristics of many civil aviation operation and management entities, long work chains, detailed professional classification, and many employees, CAAC cooperate with local governments to establish a joint management mechanism to achieve coordinated defense and joint defense.

Pro-CCP activists cooperate with CCP in falsifying that "Obama said the virus was made in the United States"

Image : There have been various claims about the origin of covid. Pro-CCP people in Taiwan cooperated in launching false information and spread rumors on the Internet in the name of former U.S. President Obama, falsely claiming that the "novel coronavirus was made in the United States" and "the aim was to eliminate the yellow race." ". (Photo by reporter Su Yongyao)

In response to the origin of Wuhan pneumonia (novel coronavirus pneumonia, COVID-19, covid), US President Biden said in May 2021 that he had ordered an intelligence unit to investigate and submit a report within 90 days. The deadline for submitting the report is approaching in late August, and all kinds of Chinese "dumping the pot" narratives have also come out. Taiwanese pro-CCP people also cooperated in launching false messages, spreading rumors in the name of former U.S. President Obama on the Internet. It is called "Novel Coronavirus Made in the United States" and "Aim to Eliminate the Yellow Race."

IORG (IO Research Office), which studies false information, published a report stating that suspicious messages under the name Obama appeared on the Internet in late July, declaring that "novel coronavirus was made in the United States" and its purpose was to "eliminate the yellow race." It also stated that Obama issued an appeal to 300 US mayors, "You must tell the truth and disclose the truth."

According to the Taiwan fact-checking center's verification, "the source is not credible, and the original information is misinterpreted in many places, and many claim that there is no evidence." This is a false message.

However, the IO Research Office also found that in just one week in late July, the three keywords of "Obama", "Novel Coronavirus" and "Made in the United States" were mentioned at the same time on the Facebook fan page, all of which were shared faces booking a post with a specific account. In addition, at least 10 groups, at least 15 LINE messages containing the string "Former U.S. President Obama reveals the shocking truth", each with a link to an article from a pro-CCP group.

The IO Research Office pointed out that the pro-CCP group’s article was first posted in October last year and has now been widely cited by other pro-CCP people. When Ma Ying-jeou was in power, the leader of the pro-CCP group helped to establish a party calling for Taiwanese businessmen and asked Ma Ying-jeou to accept "One Country, Two Systems". The party was dissolved in 2018. However, relevant people are frequent visitors to the Straits Forum and recently encouraged Taiwanese to go to China for vaccinations. The pro-CCP group also claimed to be cooperating with a Chinese Internet TV station to promote products. After verification, the Internet TV station is an Internet platform established by the "General Logistics Department" of the CCP People's Liberation Army.

IO Research Office believes that this is an information manipulation originating from a website run by a politically pro-CCP person. Under the guise of former U.S. President Barack Obama, he conveyed a false message with no source and no evidence.

Guoan people believe that the false information circulating last year has now revived, and the trajectory can be clearly seen from the transmission chain. This is a typical local cooperator. It is not difficult to see from their words and deeds that some pro-CCP groups and members have become the targets of CCP's infiltration through the exchange of interests with the other side, cooperating with Beijing's responsibility for the "shirking the pot" of the Wuhan pneumonia, and willing to act as the flanks and serve as Beijing's microphones.

The CCP threatens Taiwan but Taiwan gains international support

Although Beijing has increased its pressure on Taiwan in recent years, Taiwan’s security issues have gradually moved towards international development and gained more and more international attention. Concerned, not only the United States has repeatedly reiterated that it will assist Taiwan in strengthening its defense, but Japan has also unexpectedly stated that it will work with the United States to defend Taiwan. Expert analysis indicated that Beijing’s coercive strategy has helped Taiwan gain unprecedented international support in decades.

According to a report by the Voice of America, Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi recently called on the CCP to take various military actions to encircle Taiwan, and the international community should pay more attention to "Taiwan's survival." He said that pressure from the international community is the key to avoiding Taiwan’s future military conflict.

The Japanese government not only expressed its intention to join forces with the United States to defend Taiwan, but also broke the convention in the 2021 "Defense White Paper" and stated for the first time that “the stability of Taiwan’s situation is very important for Japan’s security and the stability of the international community”.

In the US, Japan and Taiwan Congressional Strategic Forum a few days ago, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe also expressed concern about the CCP’s efforts to increase pressure on the Taiwan Strait, considering the CCP’s current control measures on Hong Kong. happen."

Driven by the United States and Japan, the Taiwan issue has also received more international attention. The G7 summit held in June this year also emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.

Raymond Kuo, an independent political scholar and Asian security expert, stated that the CCP’s strategy of “brute force” pressure on Taiwan has caused many backlashes in Asian countries, and has gradually begun to regard China as a threat. When formulating security strategies, Asian countries Both have included the Taiwan issue as one of the important considerations.

Shelley Rigger, a senior US expert on Taiwan Strait issues and a professor at Davidson College, pointed out that the CCP’s military, diplomatic, and economic pressure on Taiwan has reached its limit, leaving Taiwan facing a very difficult situation. This has also caused vigorous backlash from other countries. They are all aware of the CCP’s pressure on Taiwan, which in turn strengthens the unofficial diplomacy between Taiwan and other countries.

The "Transnational Parliamentary Alliance on China Policy", composed of parliamentarians from many countries, announced in April this year that it would support Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Assembly (WHA); Work Act" expresses support for Taiwan’s participation in a number of international organizations.

Zoe Leung, director of the diplomatic program of the Bush Foundation for US-China Relations, and her colleague Cameron Waltz pointed out in Foreign Policy magazine on 30 July that despite the Chinese Communist leader Xi Jinping’s attempt to intimidate Taiwan, CCP may instead help Taiwan win the applause but this strategy has also increased the difficulty of the road to unification, and the cost has become even higher.

The article also stated that Taiwan’s biggest weakness is international isolation but Beijing’s coercive tactics did not take advantage of this. Instead, it helped Taiwan gain unprecedented international support in decades.

Chinese paramilitary trained Cuban security forces responsible for suppressing protesters

Cuban military and police forces responsible for clamping down on demonstrators have received “counter-terrorism” training from Chinese paramilitary, reports from mainland Chinese state media show.

Rare anti-government protests erupted around the island in July as citizens took to the streets calling for greater freedoms and better living conditions. While nearly two dozen countries worldwide have voiced support for the protesters, the ruling communist regime has responded by launching a violent repression, actions supported by Beijing.

Records going back to a decade ago show that Cuban authorities may have learned some tactics from their Chinese counterparts, who provided training and other support in the name of combating terrorism.

The CCP paramilitary, known as the People’s Armed Police (PAP), began sending personnel to train their Cuban counterparts as early as 2008, Chinese state media reported. In 2019, the PAP demonstrated combat skills at an event in China, which drew praise from visiting Cuban security officials.

It is unclear when the PAP’s training in Cuba first began. The earliest documented training, based on media reports, took place for about two months starting November 2008. Among the more than 90 trainees who took part, two-thirds of them belonged to the Cuban Interior Ministry’s “special forces,” according to Chinese state media. The special forces unit, known as the “Black Berets,” is an elite group of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, the regime’s military. The remaining trainees were military officers.

The four Chinese PAP trainers taught the Cuban officers mixed martial arts, hostage rescue, and handling “large scale riots,” the report said. At the end of their stay, they were awarded by the Interior Ministry with its highest distinction for their “special contribution.”

In April 2016, the PAP in Ningxia, a region in central-north China, sent six officers to the Cuban Ministry of the Interior’s national special combat training school to teach a one-month training program. The courses involved more than 160 skills across six categories, including tactical shooting, Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi, and tactics to subdue violence, according to an article from a Chinese army-run site headlined “Armed Police Return With Honors.”

The Cuban side, impressed by the progress of the training, incorporated the content into their country’s military training agenda, according to another article from the site.

Photos from the 2016 training released by Chinese media, including a handful recently unearthed by Cuban media ADN, show the Cuban officers donning their signature black uniforms and black berets with their Chinese trainers.

Beginning on July 11, thousands of Cubans began taking to the streets to voice their frustration with the 62-year-old communist regime and with their living conditions, the largest demonstrations the country has seen since the 1990s. In response, the regime carried out mass arrests, cut off internet access, and deployed security and police forces, including the Black Berets, to take over cities and towns.

The United States sanctioned the Cuban defense minister and the Black Berets on July 22 for their violent suppression of the protests, which reportedly saw arrests of roughly 500 activists.

Cuban police force sanctioned

On 30 July, the Biden administration further imposed sanctions on the Cuban police force and two of its leaders for their assaults on demonstrators, including the arrest of a Catholic priest who tried to defend young protesters, the beating of several minors, and the use of clubs to break up peaceful protests.

“Cubans deserve to have pride in their homeland and the basic necessities of life that the Cuban Communist Party’s failed system has been unable to deliver,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement announcing the sanctions.

CCP's PAP involved in crushing protests in Xinjiang, observing protests in Hong Kong

A specialized paramilitary force tasked with quelling domestic unrest, the PAP played a major role in crushing protests in the far-west region of Xinjiang over the years. One squadron that had killed 91 “rioters” in the region was recognized with special honors by Chinese leader Xi Jinping in July. In Hong Kong, the PAP also joined local police on the frontlines to observe pro-democracy protests last year, Reuters reported, citing anonymous sources.

Chinese paramilitary forces have played a key part in Beijing’s ambition to project power and expand the country’s military influence beyond Chinese borders.

In January 2016, a Chinese counter-terrorism law took effect to allow the Chinese military and the PAP to send officers overseas to combat terrorism.

The PAP has made some headway in central Asia, running an outpost in Tajikistan in the region bordering China and Afghanistan since 2016. One Tajik observer estimates the facility to contain hundreds of personnel and around 20 lookout towers, according to a 2020 report by the U.S.–China Economic and Securities Review Commission.

During a 2019 anti-terrorism forum hosted by the PAP in Beijing, officers performed their latest sniper tactics and were said to have received rounds of applause from more than 240 foreign officials attending the event, according to Chinese state media Xinhua. One attendee, an expert with Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior told the outlet that he got a lot of inspiration for the training in his home country and expressed hopes to increase such exchanges.

PAP is not the sole agency involved in Beijing’s global law enforcement push. An internal document The Epoch Times obtained in 2020 shows that one police college in Kunming conducted 115 training sessions with more than 2,500 law enforcement officers from 62 developing countries between 2002 and 2017. According to the Xinhua News Agency, over the course of 16 years, the college trained more than 300 officers from Laos. It had pledged to provide short- and mid-term training for 2,000 Southeast Asian officials from 2016 to 2020.

The goal of these training programs was to “build connections” and service the regime’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), according to the document. BRI, a billion-dollar infrastructure project aimed at bolstering Beijing’s economic and political power worldwide, has attracted scrutiny over its role in exporting the regime’s model of techno-totalitarianism and saddling developing countries with high levels of debt.
