The netizen who uploaded the video said that the incident happened in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province in the evening of 7 May. Zhoushan is located in the Zhoushan Islands off the coast of Zhejiang.

According to public reports, "blood-red skies" also appeared in India and Indonesia in 2019, which some analysts believe may be related to the toxic haze. However, at that time, the air on the ground in India and Indonesia was also red, which was different from Zhoushan where only the sky changed colour.

In addition, on 10 September 1770, the dark sky in northern China suddenly turned blood red. Ancient books regard this celestial phenomenon as an ominous omen. Some scientists believe that this may be related to the activity of sunspots.

Shanghai anti-violence: Residents rushed out of the building to save people, chased "Dabai" (video)

Reporter : Jing Zhongming / Editor: Li Qian / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2022/05/07/a103420572.html

Shanghai's brutal lockdown has made public grievances worse. A video of people in Shanghai Zhuanqiao resisting violence and chasing and beating official personnel was circulated on the Internet. Netizens broke the news that the angry residents came to the rescue because the children who asked for the supplies were beaten.

On 7 May, a number of videos purported to be of Shanghai Zhuanqiao rioting were circulated online (link 1link 2). The video shows that several "Dabais" (official personnel wearing protective clothing) are suppressing and beating male residents outside the door of a building. A large number of residents inside the building are shouting and rushing out of the door. Several "Dabais" try to block the building door but they ended in failure.

As more and more residents rushed out, the "Dabais" fled. The man who was beaten earlier also turned his back, and a "Dabai" was knocked to the ground at one point. During the period, residents upstairs kept throwing various debris to help out.

A follow-up video (link) shows that a large number of residents rushing out of the building began to gang fight "Dabai". The "Dabais" fled one after another. The residents then chased out in the direction in which "Dabai" fled.

There is also a video (link) showing a "Dabai" running away, with several residents chasing after him.

According to local netizens, the incident happened on the 36th floor of Jinsheng Community, Zhuanqiao Town, Minhang District. At that time, residents of the building gathered upstairs to protest, shouting "requires supplies". The two "Dabais" who went upstairs and pressed them provoked the two teenage children. After a conflict was triggered, "Dabai" called for a dozen people to drag the two children downstairs and beat them. Residents could not bear it anymore, they rushed downstairs to save people and fought with "Dabai".

There is a video (link) showing the scene inside the building at the time of the incident. In the video, someone kept accusing "Dabai" of violent law enforcement, and then some residents shouted "beat people, go down", and the residents rushed downstairs. At the entrance of the building, "Dabai" pulled several leading residents out of the building, trying to intimidate other residents. After the intimidation was ineffective, he tried to forcefully close the door of the building, only to be rushed out by angry residents, and then the two sides clashed violently.

In the video, the words "Minhang Public Security" are printed on the protective clothing of many "Dabais".

The above video is going viral on the Internet. Netizens praised that Shanghai citizens fired the first shot of "anti-violence".

Shanghai has been locked down for more than a month, and many communities that have been locked down for a long time are lacking in supplies, and people's complaints are boiling. The Jinsheng International Home Furnishings in the incident community has been closed since 14 March, and it is still a "closed area".

As early as in late March, some residents of the community posted on Weibo for help, accusing the community of chaotic management and the locking of the building door, which not only poses a fire hazard, but also makes it difficult for many residents who rely on takeaways to get their meals and are often hungry.

Residents also pointed out that the "Dabais" in the community are basically foreign labourers or security guards, and there is a problem of violent law enforcement.
