According to an official press release, Pelosi led a congressional delegation from San Francisco on a U.S. Air Force C-40C transport plane, stopping in Hawaii to listen to a briefing by the local U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial and the USS Arizona, and then visit the USS Arizona before flying to her first destination, Singapore.

"Today, our congressional delegation travels to the Indo-Pacific to reaffirm America's firm and unshakable commitment to allies in the region," Pelosi said in a statement, revealing that the congressional delegation traveled to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan, High-level meetings will be held with local dignitaries to discuss how to advance shared interests and values ​​between the two countries, including issues such as peace, security, economic growth and trade, the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, human rights and democracy. Although the text reiterated the Biden administration's emphasis on the Indo-Pacific region, it did not mention Taiwan.

Nevin pointed out that after stopping to refuel in Hawaii, Pelosi and his party went to the U.S. military base to listen to a briefing by the leadership of the Indo-Pacific Command, and visited the Pearl Harbor Memorial and the USS Arizona to pay tribute to the U.S. military who died in the Pearl Harbor incident.
