Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot during a speech in Nara on 8 July 2022 and died after being rushed to the hospital. Tetsuya Yamagami, a former maritime self-defense member who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, was transferred from the Nara West Police Station to the Nara District Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of murder at around 9 am local time on 10 July 2022.

According to comprehensive Japanese media reports, Tetsuya Yamagami kept his head down when he stepped out of the police station when multiple police officers were double-teamed from the front and back. Police urged him to get into the car. He got into the white van. The police station pointed out that in order to prevent unexpected situations, a large number of police officers were dispatched to escort, and two vehicles were used to pack vehicles on the mountain to the Nara District Prosecutor's Office. According to reports, more than 100 people gathered at the scene. Tetsuya Yamagami's charge changed from attempted murder at the time of his arrest to "murder."

Investigators said that Yamagami also confessed to the crime after being arrested, claiming that his mother was a follower of a religious group, and because she was addicted to the religion, she donated a large amount of money and went bankrupt. On the other side, he also revealed that he has been investigating Abe's relationship with the group since before.

In addition, when Abe went to Okayama Prefecture, Japan, on 7 July to assist in the election, Yamagami also appeared there. The Nara Prefectural Police speculates that he has a strong unilateral killing intent towards Abe, and is investigating whether he is tracking Abe's itinerary, and will investigate in detail his actions before committing the crime.

Assassination of Abe's "Plan B" exposed! Tetsuya originally planned to take the Shinkansen to continue the stab

Tetsuya Yamagami, the suspect in Abe's assassination, has his latest confession exposed today. The suspect confessed that he learned how to make weapons from YouTube videos. In addition, he also formulated the "Assassination Plan B", that is, if the assassination in Nara fails, he plans to take the Shinkansen to the next stop in Saitama Prefecture, which is the next stop for Abe's election, and continue the assassination.

With the gun he made himself, he succeeded in assassinating Abe Shinzo. The gunman Tetsuya Yamagami also confessed to the Japanese police that he learnt from YouTube videos to make guns.

According to Tetsuya, "(The home-made firearm) can fire six bullets at a time. The production started last spring and it will be completed this spring."

The Japanese police also found two half-made firearms from Tetsuya's home, showing that he not only made weapons but also kept improving, constantly testing what weapons can have the most lethality. In addition, Tetsuya's new confession is this piece thing.

He also gave new testimony, saying that after buying a lot of blank ammunition, he filled it with gunpowder.

In other words, not only the guns are made by hand, but even the bullets by Tetsuya are made of steel. Since he made up his mind to commit the crime last fall, he began to prepare ammunition, and now it is rumored that his crime plan is not only in Nara, but also elsewhere in Japan. If the assassination of Abe at the scene of Nara fails, he will take the Shinkansen to Saitama Prefecture, because according to the schedule, Abe will appear in front of Omiya Station in Saitama at 6.30 pm that day to give speeches for the party comrades in the election.

In addition, the Japanese police also went to the Nara branch of the Unification Church, which is 300 m away from the scene of the crime, because just the day before the crime, it was reported that there was a shooting here by Tetsuya.

A person near the church said, "There was a loud noise, probably between 3.30 am and 4.30 am. The sound of the explosion is still loud, and it feels very scary. After all, it happened near my home."

Abe was assassinated, and Japan was still worried about imitators. Unexpectedly, it was announced earlier in South Korea, President Yoon Suk-yeol received death threats. Some netizens threatened to shoot at the "Yongsan Presidential Room". Fortunately, the South Korean police have followed the line to arrest the suspects.

Domestic violence, eldest son with cancer, Tetsuya Yamagami's mother is addicted to "Unification Church" reasons exposed

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot and killed on 8 July 2022. The suspect, Tetsuya Yamagami, also revealed to the police that because his mother was addicted to the Unification Church and heard that Abe was related to the religion, he killed Abe. After investigation by Japanese media, it was found that factors such as domestic violence experienced in the past and the eldest son's cancer have all become factors for the suspect's mother to indulge in religion and donate hundreds of millions of yen, leading to the breakdown of the family.

According to comprehensive Japanese media reports, from the late 1970s to 1980, Tetsuya Yamagami's family lived in a house in Higashi Osaka, Osaka Prefecture. Neighbours who live nearby said they heard the father yelling at his wife on holidays, which was well known among the neighbours. Another neighbour said that he had witnessed his father yelling on Tetsuya and his mother being forced to kneel in the kitchen. Neighbours revealed that Tetsuya Yamagami, who was young at the time, probably often saw his mother being violently treated, and seemed to be afraid of his father. When the family went out, he always clinged to his mother and refused to leave.

The father of Tetsuya Yamagami worked diligently, but after drinking, he often caused trouble, and from time to time he would get drunk on the side of the road. After he was born young in 1984, the family moved out of Higashi Osaka. Later, the elder brother of Tetsuya suffered from cancer, blinded in one eye, and the cancer cells metastasized to the brain. This severely hit the mother of Tetsuya, which in turn placed her sustenance on religion. Her friends revealed that she once said that her family life was painful and that she felt very uncomfortable after her husband passed away. It was religion that saved her. She later went bankrupt in 2002 by selling the land she inherited and the house in Nara in order to donate to the religion. According to reports, she donated a total of more than 100 million Dollars (about NT$21 million) to the Unification Church.

Although Tetsuya had a good relationship with his mother when he was a child, religion changed the relationship between mother and son. Tetsuya went to a prestigious school in high school, but later gave up going to university due to economic factors. He also told the police that he "has hated the Unification Church since he was a teenager". When Yamagami's family lived in Osaka, a woman they knew said that the shooting was indeed unforgivable, but in the face of such a family environment, life was out of control because of her mother's donation, which may cause Tetsuya Yamagami's heart to become twisted and broken.
