Dedicated buses for arrivals from Narita and Haneda to 12 hotels in Tokyo opened

Report by : Gan Yung Chyan, KUCINTA SETIA

As a measure for the prevention and control of the covid epidemic, the Japanese government urges inbound passengers not to use public transportation when leaving the airport, but they continue to leave the airports via  public transport. In view of this, the special buses for incoming visitors from Narita and Haneda airports to 12 hotels in Tokyo have been put into operation since 16 December 2020.

In order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, the Japanese government urges travelers not to use public transport when leaving the airport even if their virus test at the airport is negative. However, due to the heavy financial burden and so on, many immigrants still take rail transit or ordinary buses when they leave the airport.

In view of this, the Tokyo Airport Transportation Company has opened a special bus line for immigrants from Narita and Haneda Airports to 12 hotels in Tokyo, since 16 December

Dedicated buses are used for passengers staying at the parked hotels. They run 3 times a day and require advance reservations. Ticket prices are 4000 Yen from Narita and 1500 Yen from Haneda.
