The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) of the U.S. has authorized the emergency use of the U.S.'s first SARS-CoV-2 vaccine known officially as "Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine" on 11 December 2020. President Donald Trump has promised the vaccination in the U.S. to be free to all Americans, starting with senior citizens and medical frontline workers from 12 December 2020.
Like the Sinopharm SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, there are side effects of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination. The side effects include pain at the injection site for several days, tiredness, headache, muscle pain, joint pain, chills and fever "but even more so after the second dose" three weeks after the first dose.
People requesting for such vaccination must inform medical frontline staff if they have any allergies, fever, bleeding disorder, pregnant or plan to become pregnant even if they are 16 years old or above.
