Some large airlines began to ban wearing cloth masks

Large airlines have begun to ban wearing cloth masks when flying on airplanes. The mask must be a medical mask.

The frequentflyers.ru website reported that from 1 February 2021, all Lufthansa flight passengers are required to wear a disposable European standard (FFP2) comfortable valved protective mask. Recently, the LATAM Group has also implemented similar rules: The masks are either medical, or KN95 or N95 masks without valves.

According to reports, other airlines will also make such a request in the near future.

Experts believe that cloth masks are actually useless. If a patient wears a cloth mask, there is no protection against the spread of bacteria. It is also prohibited to use scarves, handkerchiefs, headscarves and carnival masks as alternative masks.
