Thai Airways International to retire A380, A330 and B747

Thai Airways International (THAI) will retire all 747, A380 and even A330-300. The airline's future fleet will only operate A350, 787 and 777-300ER. Earlier, THAI the layoff of 905 pilots.

Before the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, THAI had 15 Airbus A330-300s with an average age of 10.2 years. There are only 6 A380s in the Thai Airways fleet, with a service life between 7.6 and 8.9 years.

Last year, the Central Bankruptcy Court approved THAI's restructuring plan. At the time, it was estimated that the airline’s liabilities were approximately 338.9 billion Baht ($11.3 billion) and assets were only 298.9 billion Baht ($9.98 billion).
