Influenza A is raging in China, covi mutant strains emerge, and bird flu emerges
While the so-called influenza A epidemic in China is raging, mutated strains of covi are constantly appearing. At this time, some experts come out to declare that it is not far to get rid of the covid virus, causing doubts. In addition, the emergence of bird flu cases has caused panic among the public.
Resident in Liaoning: "Is the second wave of infections gone? Mutant covi strains continue to appear, but experts say that it is not far away from covid. On 18 March, the data released by the CDC was 86 cases, and by 23 March, the data released on the No. 1 issue is 120 cases, indicating that in just a few days, there have been 34 new cases of the covi variant strain that are of local concern.”
The China CDC recently issued an announcement that on 23 March 2023, there were 455,000 visits to fever clinics. The percentage of influenza-like cases in the southern provinces this week was slightly higher than last week, while that in the northern provinces continued to decline. The real situation is unknown.
Xu Pengpeng, Chief of the Acute Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Section of Lu'an CDC, Anhui Province: "Laboratory pathogenic surveillance data show that the composition of influenza virus nucleic acid detection and typing has quietly changed. The culprit of this epidemic is the H1N1 strain. The proportion is decreasing, and the H3N2 type that belongs to the influenza A began to increase."
At the same time, the Guangdong Provincial CDC recently announced that Zhongshan City reported a case of H3N8 bird flu infection, causing public concern.
Resident in Jilin: "Covid is over, Norovirus; Norovirus is over, influenza A. Oh, this spring is very difficult for this crop of viruses. According to a friend in the hospital, there are still many patients in the hospital. The patients with influenza A have not completely ended? Then today, I read the news that there was another case of H3N8 reported in Zhongshan, Guangdong. This case is a type of bird flu. "
Resident in Yunnan: "The covid virus has not completely disappeared, and the influenza A has not completely gone away. As a result, the bird flu virus started to come again."
Dr. Tang, Chief Physician of the Cardiology Department of Yizheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine: "What is the difference between a case of H3N8 bird flu reported in Guangdong and influenza A? The so-called bird flu is the abbreviation of avian influenza. It is a subtype of influenza A virus. Infectious diseases caused by the human body. When the human body’s immunity is low, there are underlying diseases, and the elderly are exposed to a large viral load, it can also cause human infection. After being infected with bird flu, there will be flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, sore throat, headache and other muscle soreness and general malaise are also very common symptoms. A small number of infections of the lower respiratory tract will cause severe symptoms, lung inflammation, and even respiratory distress. The virus of bird flu and influenza A is different. But what, symptoms similar to influenza A can cause widespread transmission in humans."
