Jiang Yanyong exposes how CCP covered up SARS in 2003

Jiang Yanyong is best known to the outside world because he revealed the truth about the SARS epidemic in 2003.

When Jiang Yanyong accepted an exclusive interview with Southern People Weekly in 2003, he revealed how he revealed the truth.

When the SARS outbreak broke out in mainland China in 2003, the CCP covered up the real situation. On 3 April 2003, at the press conference of the State Council, Zhang Wenkang, Minister of Health of the Communist Party of China, stated that "there are only 12 cases of SARS in Beijing and 3 deaths. China's SARS has been effectively controlled."

The first reaction of Jiang Yanyong, a military doctor at the 301 Hospital, was that the real situation was more than the figures provided by Zhang Wenkang, and he believed that the national SARS epidemic had reached a very serious level at that time.

On the next day (4 April), Jiang Yanyong announced what he knew to CCTV 4 and Phoenix Satellite TV. He also said: "The materials I provided are all true, and I take all responsibilities." However, the domestic media ignored Jiang Yanyong's materials. . Afterwards, the American media "Wall Street Journal" and "Time Magazine" took the initiative to find Jiang Yanyong after learning about it, and Jiang Yanyong disclosed the domestic epidemic situation through interviews.

Jiang Yanyong said in an interview: "As a doctor, protecting the health and life of patients is the first priority, and all kinds of behaviors that endanger patients should be opposed. For doctors, seeking truth from facts is the most basic requirement. 'Insist on telling the truth'." "Over the past 50 years, through various political campaigns, I have deeply realized that it is the easiest to tell lies and empty words, but I will never tell lies."

Jiang Yanyong was kidnapped, arrested by CCP police for rescuing and defending the "June 4th" wounded

Jiang Yanyong continued to tell the truth, so he was kidnapped and placed under house arrest by the CCP many times.

In February 2004, Jiang Yanyong wrote to the National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Two Sessions of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, calling for redress for the 1989 student democracy movement. In his open letter, he disclosed that as the director of general surgery at the 301 Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, he personally participated in the rescue of the "June 4th" wounded, and mentioned the details of several dead people he witnessed.

Jiang Yanyong said in the official letter, "When talking about the June 4th issue, I always believed that it was wrong to suppress the student movement. For this reason, the level I should have been adjusted that year was stuck."

In 2009, the March issue of "Dongxiang" magazine featured Jiang Yanyong's open letter to the then General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Hu Jintao, and various Standing Committee members. In his open letter, he stated that on 1 June 2004, he and his wife were illegally "kidnapped" by the Jiang Zemin authorities without any paperwork, and lost 294 days of personal freedom; the authorities also prohibited him from going abroad to visit relatives.

The No. 301 Hospital and the General Doctor of the Beijing Military Region all set up "organ transplantation centers." These departments mainly engage in illegal activities such as organ transplantation and trading. 中领馆干预疫情溯源法案未果 霍利向习喊话

CCP diplomats pressured U.S. congressmen to withdraw the COVID-19 traceability bill to no avail. The bill went through congressional procedures on Friday (10 March 2023) , has been sent to the Office of the President for signature. In response to the CCP, members of Congress sent an official document to Xi Jinping, demanding that Beijing confess the truth about the origin of the epidemic.

Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri is one of the sponsors of the COVID Origins Act of 2023. His office received a letter from the Chinese embassy in Washington DC on Wednesday (8 March) asking him to withdraw the bill, calling it "political manipulation."

The bill, which passed the Senate unanimously last week, would require the Biden administration to declassify intelligence related to potential links between CCP China's Wuhan Institute of Virology and the coronavirus outbreak. The House of Representatives passed the bill on Friday in a 419-0 vote.

Now, the bill goes to President Joe Biden for his signature. The White House has yet to issue a formal position on the bill.

In response to the unreasonable pressure from the Chinese government, Hawley published an official document to Xi Jinping on Twitter on Friday, demanding that Beijing confess the truth about the origin of the epidemic.

He said: "The Chinese Communist Party is very dissatisfied with this investigation into the origin of the epidemic. Earlier this week, officials wrote to my office asking me to withdraw it. I thought, I will update President Xi on the progress of the bill."

He said he knew Beijing was "very interested" in the bill, but that it would soon become law "unless Xi can convince President Biden to veto it."

"Time," Hawley said, "to be honest about your role in spreading covid to the world."

Once signed into law by the House of Representatives on Friday, the director of national intelligence would have 90 days to declassify information on the lab's research and activities related to the coronavirus outbreak, including details of any researchers who fell ill in the fall of 2019. The legislation allows the DNI to make "redactions necessary to protect sources and investigative methods."

Earlier, the CCP embassy in Washington sent a three-page letter to Hawley's office on Wednesday, accusing the United States of "undermining international unity" and repeating the official Chinese lie that the virus may have originated in a laboratory in North Carolina.

In response to the bill, the pressure letter read: "China firmly opposes and strongly condemns this."

Hawley said in an interview with Fox News on Thursday (9 March) that he regarded China's "angry letters" as a signal of encouragement.

"When Beijing is so dissatisfied with a proposal, you know you are going in the right direction. The American people should know the truth about the origin of the epidemic, and China must be held accountable," he said.

Li Shangfu, Minister of Defense Expert: Involved in Sino-US confrontation and preparations for war in the Taiwan Strait

李尚福任防长 专家:涉中美对抗与台海备战
On 12 March 2023, the CCP appointed Li Shangfu, a member of the Central Military Commission who was sanctioned by the United States, as the Minister of Defense. The calculation behind it has attracted attention. Experts believe that Xi Jinping's personnel layout is one of the preparations for the structural confrontation between CCP China and the United States, and involves internal and external declarations, and the impact of using Li Shangfu will be more detrimental to the CCP.

In 2018, the United States announced sanctions against Li Shangfu, then head of the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission. The reason is that Li Shangfu is suspected of assisting the Russian Defense Products Export Corporation (Rosoboronexport) to sell SU-35 fighter jets and S-400 missile system equipment to China, a move that violates U.S. sanctions against Russia.

Sanctions against Li Shangfu included a ban on foreign exchange transactions under U.S. jurisdiction, a ban on transactions with the U.S. financial system, a blockade of all his property in the U.S., and a ban on visas, thereby preventing him from entering the United States.

The important duty of the defense minister of the CCP is to engage in military exchanges. Li Shangfu, who has been sanctioned by the United States, is appointed as the defense minister. How will the military exchanges between China and the United States be? After the appointment was announced, many observers discussed it in the context of Sino-US confrontation.

Ming Juzheng: Xi Jinping's personnel layout is a preparation for war under the structural confrontation between CCP China and the United States

Regarding the CCP’s appointment of Li Shangfu as Minister of Defense, Ming Juzheng, an honorary professor of the Department of Political Science at National Taiwan University, first analyzed the overall situation of the current U.S.-China confrontation in an interview with The Epoch Times on the 12th.

"The confrontation between the United States and China looks like it will continue to deteriorate, but it will not fall off a cliff, but will go down slowly. It is difficult for the relationship between major powers to go bad all at once. Generally, it will be tense and relaxed, good and bad, but overall said it was going down."

He believes that the reason for the deterioration of Sino-U.S .relations is that the contradiction between the two sides has become a structural confrontation.

"The so-called structural confrontation means that the two sides have different views on international law, international order and values, and then there are major contradictions in various aspects. The most important thing is that the CCP is dissatisfied with the existing international order. From the beginning of the Communist Party to the present, the existing international order Has always been dissatisfied.

"Mao Zedong has been doing this for a long time. After Deng Xiaoping proposed to hide his strength and bide his time after June 4th in 1989, he would bow his head and make concessions when his strength was not enough but one day he would turn his face when his strength was enough. Xi Jinping has been so strong in diplomacy in recent years because he feels that he is strong enough but a considerable part of his cognition is deceived by his own propaganda."

Ming Juzheng said that in recent years, Xi Jinping has been excluding people he thinks he cannot cooperate with in personnel matters, whether it is Sun Zhengcai or Hu Chunhua who were originally scheduled to succeed him, or Li Keqiang and Wang Yang arranged by the veterans of the CCP.

"When they were all replaced by his own people, he thought that he could let go of things. Looking at Li Shangfu (superior), there is nothing particularly strange. He thinks (military) Li Shangfu, He Weidong, and Zhang Youxia are able to implement his strategic thinking.”

Image : Li Shangfu, the CCP general who was sanctioned by the United States, has recently received attention again. (Screenshot from the video / NTDTV)

Ming Juzheng believes that Xi really believes that the final Taiwan Strait war is inevitable, so now he must take at least one action to prepare for the war. In addition to the military, there are many domestic actions, including the reconstruction of the supply and marketing cooperatives, the national advancement of the people retiring and so on are basically serving for the purpose of preparing for war.

The recent institutional reform of the Chinese Communist Party requires the establishment of the Data Bureau and the Financial Supervision Bureau. Ming Juzheng said that this is to engage in data totalitarianism and financial totalitarianism in hand.

Ming also believes that Xi Jinping does not necessarily have to fight a war but he must prepare for a war and wait for the opportunity. "If he thinks that the United States has a problem, and the United States is divided, he can do it; or if the covid virus (CCP virus) spreads to you, millions of people will die at once, and the National Power Conference will be depleted, and I can do it again. or you have something absurd like the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, which means that you can do it; now that the Silicon Valley Bank has exploded, will it explode in a series? It means that I can do it again.”

Ming Juzheng said that all Xi Jinping's preparations are to capture opportunities, and his personnel preparations are also based on this idea.

However, Ming Juzheng believes that if Xi thinks clearly, he will not dare to break the balance of the situation in the Taiwan Strait because Russia, Ukraine and the Taiwan Strait are linked.

"For more than a year, Western countries have warned and criticized the CCP: the first point is the war between Russia and Ukraine, you can't obviously help Russia; in addition, you can't take advantage of the war between Russia and Ukraine to move Taiwan. So unless Xi Jinping is really his own propaganda is so deceitful that he can't believe it at all, and he doesn't believe what the West says, so he will really attack Taiwan."

Wang He: Xi Jinping's use of Li Shangfu is not only targeting the United States, but also hinting internally

Wang He, an expert on China issues, told The Epoch Times on 12 March 2023 that Xi Jinping chose Li Shangfu as the Minister of Defense this time, of course there are many calculations behind it.

"The first reason is that the U.S. sanctions on Li Shangfu have not yet been resolved. Xi Jinping threw the ball to the U.S., aren't you a sanction? I'm using someone now, and he is actually forcing the Biden government to make concessions."

After then-U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan last August, China retaliated by staging unprecedented military exercises in waters around Taiwan and suspending communications with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense. level of communication.

On 4 February, after the U.S. military shot down a CCP spy balloon in U.S. airspace, U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin requested a phone call with then-CCP Defense Minister Wei Fenghe but CCP rejected the proposal. On 28 February, the Pentagon said that senior U.S. and CCP defense officials had not spoken to each other since November 2022.

Wang He said that the CCP has been using rogue tactics like this, and can cut off communication at will.

However, he believes that Xi Jinping made Li Shangfu Minister of Defense, not only targeting the United States, but also hinting at domestic officials, "I'll give you a promotion."

Wang He believes that Xi's layout is to continuously increase the weight of military power in national policy and national diplomacy, and at the same time put on a stance that he will not hesitate to fight, which is a declaration to the country and abroad but it is more important It may be a strategic consideration, not to say that if you make up your mind, you will fight a war.

"Because the CCP is facing internal and external troubles now. If you go to war, your strength will be revealed immediately, and you will be exposed immediately. Just like Putin (fighting Ukraine), you will be very passive. Xi Jinping will not easily cross that line."

Su Ziyun: Xi Jinping's use of Li Shangfu will be even more detrimental to the CCP

Su Ziyun, Director of the Institute of Strategy and Resources of the National Defense Security Research Institute of Taiwan, told The Epoch Times on 12 March 2023 that Xi Jinping appointed Li Shangfu, Minister of Original Equipment Development Department, as Minister of National Defense. There are three considerations. The first is to express to the entire army: the military industry system is in charge, and the military reform that enters the next stage must strengthen the research and development of military technology. The second is that the focus of future work is to continue to develop into the space field, because Li Shangfu was born in the front line of aerospace.

Li Shangfu worked in the Xichang Satellite Launch Center of the Communist Party of China in his early years. He was the director of the Xichang Satellite Launch Center of the General Armament Department at that time, and later served as the commander of the Chang'e 2 mission launch site area command.

"The third is foreign affairs, which is tantamount to despising the United States strategically. Because Li Shangfu was sanctioned by the United States, the United States has always wanted to restart the dialogue with the CCP at the level of the Ministry of Defense, but the CCP's defense minister is the target of sanctions. (The CCP) put this The hot potato was handed over to the United States."

However, Su Ziyun believes that doing so will be even more detrimental to the CCP. The United States will believe that the CCP has basically no sincerity for dialogue, and will further believe that the CCP is the enemy of the United States, not just a challenger.

The CCP has recently introduced major institutional reforms. Many outside experts believe that the CCP has turned to a wartime mechanism.

Su Ziyun said that the adjustment of the CCP's organization is mainly to solve the domestic crisis. Although it also wants to show its determination to invade Taiwan by force, it is just a gesture because it has great doubts about whether the war will be won.

"I don't think it's a wartime mechanism, it's an emergency mechanism, that is, in the face of domestic problems, including economic problems, it is necessary to consolidate Xi's core. In addition to the barrel of the gun, Xi Jinping has also recently rectified the handle of the knife, and now it is established again The new State Administration of Financial Supervision also holds the money bag in its hands, and it is very clear that it is mainly internal."

Su Ziyun said that it is currently observed that the overall direction of the CCP’s institutional reform is to strengthen the party and weaken the government. It is necessary to make the State Council system 100% led by a political party, and this political party is a one-man dictatorship. "I don't think it's going into a so-called wartime system now, but something like an emergency system, everything is focused on serving Xi Jinping."

He believes that if the CCP wants to break the balance of the situation in the Taiwan Strait and go to war, it will encounter many crises.

"There are too many, including recent foreign media reports that protecting Taiwan has become a very important issue for Western countries dominated by the United States. In addition to military containment, German think tanks have also taken stock of China's foreign dependence. The extent, including its external economic dependence, is the export. The import part is more important. In addition to advanced equipment and equipment, there is also a very deadly food."

Su Ziyun concluded that if the CCP invades Taiwan, firstly, it will have no chance of winning militarily, and secondly, it will face strong international military countermeasures, as well as economic countermeasures, and even some necessities needed by the CCP will be controlled. For Beijing, this will be highly risky.

Tedros: Finding the origin of covid is a moral imperative

Reporter : Dai Furuo / Editor :  Gao Jing / https://www.epochtimes.com/gb/23/3/12/n13948636.htm

The head of the World Health Organization said that discovering the origin of covid is a moral imperative and that all hypotheticals must be explored possibility, the clearest sign yet that the U.N. agency remains committed to identifying the origin of the disease.

"Understanding the origins of COVID-19 and exploring all hypotheses remains: 1. a scientific imperative to help us prevent future outbreaks; 2. an ethical imperative for the sake of the millions of people who have died from covid,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus tweeted late on Saturday (March 11).

His Twitter post was to mark the third anniversary of the first use of the term "pandemic" by the World Health Organization to describe the global covid outbreak.

In 2021, a WHO-led team spent several weeks in and around Wuhan, where the outbreak began, and said in a joint report that the covid virus may have passed from bats to humans via another animal but Further research is needed.

WHO has since formed a scientific advisory group on the dangerous pathogen but has yet to draw any conclusions about how the pandemic started, saying critical data is missing.

However, the Wall Street Journal exclusively reported on 26 February that, based on a recently classified intelligence report provided to the White House and key members of Congress, the U.S. Department of Energy concluded that the covid pandemic was most likely caused by a laboratory leak.

The FBI said on 28 February 2023 that it had assessed that covid was "most likely" to have originated from "a potential laboratory event in Wuhan, China."

On 8 March, during a hearing of the U.S. House of Representatives Ad Hoc Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, “Investigating the Origins of COVID-19,” several witnesses pointed to science, facts, and evidence pointing to a laboratory leak in Wuhan.

Brad Wenstrup, chairman of the special subcommittee, emphasized at the beginning of the hearing that understanding the origin of the disease is critical to helping predict and prevent future pandemics, protecting health and national security, and making progress for the future of the United States. Good preparation is crucial. He pledged that the ad hoc subcommittee will investigate the origins of covid thoroughly, responsibly and honestly.

Mounting evidence presented at the hearing suggested that the covid virus may have originated in a laboratory in Wuhan.

The Chinese version of "Red Roulette" was published. Shen Dong: Dynamic clearing smashed and awakened the Chinese

《红色赌盘》中文版出版 沈栋:清零砸醒国人

The book "Red Roulette" in English once shocked the Western media by exposing the inside story of the CCP's high-level struggle and corruption. Recently, the Chinese version of this book was published in Taiwan. Shen Dong, the author of the book and a former member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, held a book launch conference in Taipei on March 12. He described the publication process of the book and his views on China's economic prospects after Xi Jinping's third re-election.

The English version of "Red Roulette" is published for the first time in 2021. The book revealed the real details of the inside story of vicious struggles and corruption within the CCP's top leaders, as well as the dramatic publishing process, which immediately shocked the Western media. The book was then translated into more than ten languages and published around the world. In 2023, a year and a half after the English version was published, the Chinese version of the book was authorized to be published by the Taiwanese media "Today Weekly", and it was recently released in Taiwan.

In the afternoon of 12 March 2023, Shen Dong attended the Chinese version of the "Red Roulette" book launch held in Taipei. At this symposium, he first described the ins and outs of his ex-wife Duan Weihong, the former chairman of China Taihong Company, who suddenly "disappeared" in Beijing, and the threats he faced before and after the publication of "Red Roulette".

News (19)

The publishing process of "Red Roulette" and the causes and consequences of the "disappearance" of the author Shen Dong's ex-wife

Shen Dong was a Hong Kong businessman in his early years. His ex-wife Duan Weihong and he got acquainted with the wife of the former Premier Wen Jiabao of the CCP State Council, and the family members of senior officials such as Sun Zhengcai, the secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee who was arrested in 2017. Opportunity to make his family rich, he has been among the elite class of the Communist Party of China for more than ten years.

After Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, the CCP’s political arena experienced violent shocks. When the high-level political structure was reshuffled, the New York Times suddenly published an article in 2013, kicking Duan Weihong as a white glove for Wen Jiabao’s wife Zhang Peili. Duan Weihong was not heard from in Beijing shortly thereafter.

At that time, Shen Dong had already emigrated overseas with his and Duan Weihong's son. After Duan Weihong disappeared, Shen Dong tried various methods but he could not find any news about his ex-wife, and she simply "evaporated". A few years later, Shen Dong decided to write a book to tell his son the story of Duan Weihong and him but he did not intend to publish the book at first.

After many years of forbearance, Shen Dong published the English version of his memoir "Red Roulette" in 2021, bringing readers all over the world the first-hand inside story about the top leaders of the CCP. He said that he hopes to let more people see the true face of the CCP government.

When recalling Duan Weihong's "disappearance" at a new book launch conference in Taipei, Shen Dong said: "Although there was no news, there was no doubt at the time. It was definitely done by the government." He said bluntly, "The (CCP) government is the largest criminal group in the country."

He also mentioned that there were two main reasons for his decision to publish the English version of "Red Roulette" in the end. First, he recalled that his wife and he worked hard together in their careers, built a logistics centre at the Beijing Airport in China, and actively engaged in charitable activities. The past is vivid, but now the CCP treats Duan Weihong by "disappearing" and he still has not heard from her many years later. This made him very angry.

The second is that after the anti-extradition movement broke out in Hong Kong in 2019, Shen Dong also visited the scene in person, which touched him very much, and the desire to publish "Red Roulette" sprouted. He said that seeing these young people sacrifice themselves, he realized that he should also take a brave step forward.
