川普可能被捕 中国支持者挺川:不要放弃

Former U.S. President Trump posted on Truth Social on 18 March 2023 that he might be arrested on 21 March 2023, arousing national and even world attention. There has also been a wave of support for him on the Chinese social media Weibo.

On 18 March, at 11.30 pm, the news that Trump might be indicted soared to the top of the Weibo platform. The hashtag "Trump said he will be arrested soon" rushed to the fifth place on the Weibo reading list that night, with more than 59 million views.

Manhattan prosecution office did not announce Trump would be "arrested"

Trump's chief defense attorney, Susan Necheles, told Insider on 18 March that the Manhattan prosecution office did not release the news that Trump would be "arrested", but she said that arresting "President Trump is based on news reports."

The Manhattan District Attorney in New York has been studying possible charges against Trump. Following media reports last week that Trump may be indicted, the former president slammed "illegal leaks by the corrupt and highly politicized Manhattan District Attorney's Office" and called on his supporters to protest.

Comments of support for Trump from Chinese on Weibo

A group of Weibo commenters who love Trump have expressed their support, encouraging Trump not to give up and to use all his strength to fight against any criminal prosecution.

"Trump, don't give up. America is big enough to be split in two. Do what you need to do, MAGA!" read one comment.

"If Trump is arrested, it will herald the corruption of the American spirit," said another comment.

“Trump, America needs you,” wrote one Weibo commenter.

Of course, there are also opponents of Trump who speak out on Weibo, but their numbers are far outnumbered by the number of supporters. Some Weibo commenters simply found the idea of Trump indicted exciting, likening his possible arrest to a reality TV show.

"How interesting! When will the live broadcast start?" one Weibo user wondered.

If Trump is indicted, it would be the first ever criminal case against a former U.S. president. The case accuses Trump of paying $130,000 in hush money to ex-adult film star Stormy Daniels through former attorney Michael Cohen ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Trump questions why Bragg reverses his decision

On 19 March, Trump questioned why Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg initially decided not to pursue the case and then reversed his decision.

"When Bragg first took office, he, like many other prosecutors, made it very clear that there was no case against Trump. Then the Biden administration, the Democrats, and the Fake News Media started pushing him, and pushing hard," he said. There could be a case eventually," Trump said.

美众议院令曼哈顿地方检察官就川普可能被捕作证

On 20 March 2023, Jim Jordan, chairman of the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, asked the New York City District Attorney to answer Trump’s possible arrest.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is planning to arrest former President Trump for allegedly paying "hush money" during the 2016 election to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Stormy Daniels to cover up allegations of an affair between the two, which Trump has denied.

House Republicans quickly condemned the move as yet another persecution of Trump and his allies by Democrats "weaponizing" the administration.

In a letter to Bragg, Jim Jordan called it an "unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial power," as did House Oversight Chairman James Comer and House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil join the condemnation.

Both Jordan and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy have pointed to Bragg's investigation of Trump as politically motivated, given Bragg's record as a district attorney.

Bragg has historically supported reducing convictions and penalties. He routinely reduced felony charges, including violent felonies, to misdemeanors during his tenure as New York district attorney.

As a result of what Bragg considers "pride," McCarthy said, New York City's violent crime rate has skyrocketed.

"You decided to pursue this politically motivated prosecution while allowing professional 'criminals' to run the streets of Manhattan," Jordan said. "Congress needs to examine how your law enforcement agencies have used the public safety funds that Congress allocated to you."

District attorneys have broad powers over which cases can be appealed to court and which charges can be contested.

Republicans have warned Prague and other left-wing district attorneys of the dangers of allowing ideology to interfere with their duties.

Jordan said Bragg's legal basis for seeking to arrest Trump was "fragile and untested."  He accused Bragg's office of spending years "looking for grounds — any grounds" to bring charges against the former president.

Jordan noted that even The Washington Post, which strongly opposes Trump and his allies, considered the charges "unusual" because "prosecutors repeatedly reviewed long-established details and decided not to pursue them."

He said the legal basis of the case relied heavily on the testimony of Trump's former attorney, Michael Cohen, who was convicted of perjury.

"Cohen has been vocal about his intense personal animosity toward Trump," Jordan said. "There is no circumstance in which it is fair to consider Cohen an impartial and reliable witness in these circumstances."

Jordan said the investigation was not about respecting the rule of law, but a "political calculation" by Bragg.

McCarthy also lashed out at Bragg during a news conference for House Republican leaders at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, accusing him of hypocrisy and political motivation.

McCarthy noted that two other district attorneys had withdrawn charges against Trump due to lack of evidence and that the statute of limitations had expired.

"Ask any lawyer and they'll tell you there's no evidence in this case," McCarthy said.

McCarthy also suggested that the main reason for charging Trump was "political purposes."

"In America, everyone is equal before the law. Just because you don't like someone doesn't make it level. Democrats and Republicans hate that."

Just 10% of Manhattan residents voted for anti-Trump District Attorney in 2021 Election
Image of  Alvin Bragg : National File

Alvin Bragg (above), the notoriously corrupt and anti-Trump Manhattan District Attorney who is expected to have President Trump arrested on Tuesday, won the votes of just 10.79% of Manhattanites when he was “elected” in 2021.

According to the 2020 Census, Manhattan is home to 1,694,251 people, serving as the heart of New York City’s commerce engine. Of those more than 1.6 million Manhattanites, just 182,828 of them cast their votes in favor of Alvin Bragg, the anti-Trump District Attorney who’s expected to have the 45th President arrested on Tuesday in a case of brazen political persecution that’s historically unprecedented in the United States.

The remarkably low voter turnout in the 2021 Manhattan District Attorney’s race, in which just 219,772 people voted in total, is typical of local elections in New York City and part of a wider pattern in American cities long ruled by Democrat political machines, where those opposed to their agendas, and political newcomers face a massive uphill battle to even get on the ballot.

Bragg leads political persecution against supporters of anti-Communism in the U.S.

Bragg, a life-long leftist whose career has been marred by corruption, was backed by party bosses to be installed as District Attorney, and members of the Democrat Party touted his status as the “first African American” to be Manhattan’s prosecutor as his main campaign plank. Since his election, Bragg has led a political persecution campaign against President Trump and others aligned with the America First movement and anti-Communism in general.

Bragg indicts Steve Bannon and Miles Guo

Notably, Bragg has indicted War Room broadcaster and former Trump advisor Steve Bannon for the crime of trying to secure America’s southern border, and just recently, indicted Miles Guo, a Chinese dissident associated with Bannon, the War Room, and pro-freedom movements in Communist China. President Trump appears to be the last leg of a far-left prosecution trifecta that Bragg wants to pull off.

习近平与普京共同批美 分析:普京给习挖大坑

On 20 March 2023, the heads of state of China and Russia posted articles on each other’s official media before the meeting, praising each other and jointly criticizing the United States. Xi Jinping calls himself a "communist" with Putin. According to the analysis, Putin invited Xi Jinping to visit Russia as a platform for him and dug a big hole for Xi, but Xi had no choice but to jump in.

Xi Jinping: All-round cooperation between CCP China and Russia

Before leaving for Moscow, Xi Jinping published a signed article on the websites of "Russia Gazette" and RIA Novosti, saying that at the invitation of President Putin, he will soon pay a state visit to the Russian Federation.

He said that China and Russia have formed an all-round and multi-level cooperation pattern. The acknowledgment of a surge in trade between CCP China and Russia comes as the United States and its allies impose unprecedented sanctions on Russia.

Last year, the bilateral trade volume exceeded 190 billion U.S. Dollars, an increase of 116% over 10 years ago. CCP China has become Russia's largest trading partner for 13 consecutive years. The two sides have cooperated on major projects in the fields of energy, aerospace, and interconnection.

Xi Jinping mentioned in the article that the Ukraine crisis has escalated in an all-round way, saying that CCP has put forward a position to resolve the Ukraine crisis, and criticized the United States without naming names, saying that "there is no superior country in the world... there is no such thing as a certain country said international order."

The United States has warned China in recent days that there is intelligence that Beijing is considering providing lethal war aid to Russia for the first time. The United States has begun discussions with its allies about the possibility of imposing war sanctions on the CCP. The CCP denies military assistance to Russia.

Putin: Thanks to the Chinese Communist Party for its "balanced" attitude towards the Russia-Ukraine war

At the same time, Putin published a signed article in the Chinese Communist Party's media "People's Daily" and quoted Confucius' famous saying: "Is it such a pleasure to have friends coming from afar?" to express his feelings about Xi Jinping's visit to Russia. He said that Xi Jinping's visit is of great significance and proves once again that the partnership between Russia and CCP is unique.

He thanked the Chinese Communist Party for its balanced approach to the Ukraine issue, and believed that the progress of Sino-Russian relations has reached the highest level in history and surpassed the military and political alliances during the Cold War.

He pointed out that the strategic cooperation between the two countries is comprehensive and has entered a new era, and it is estimated that the trade volume between Russia and CCP China will exceed 200 billion U.S. Dollars in 2023.

In the article, Putin directly criticized the United States for adopting the so-called "dual containment" against CCP China and Russia, saying that Russia was declared an "imminent threat" by the United States, while the CCP was called a "strategic competitor" of the United States.

White House: CCP and Russia want to rewrite the rules of the global game

On the other hand, the United States issued a warning to Xi Jinping's visit to Russia. The White House has stressed that it rejects any CCP call for a truce in Ukraine.

White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said in an interview with Fox News Channel on 19 March 2023, "If there is any call for a truce in the meeting between Xi Jinping and Putin on Monday, it will be unacceptable. Because it is an endorsement of the Russian invasion."

"They want to change the rules of the game on a global scale," Kirby said. "They have been strengthening their cooperation and relationships, especially recently."

Zhang Tianliang: Putin digs a big hole for Xi Jinping

Current affairs commentator Dr. Zhang Tianliang analyzed in "Daybreak": Putin wants Xi Jinping to stand for him this time and jump in. The leaders of these two major powers have no friends all over the world. So, they can only hug each other to keep warm.

Earlier, when CCP China and Russia announced that Xi Jinping would visit Russia in a high-profile manner, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin on 17 March. "Qin Peng Observation" host Qin Peng analyzed on 18 March that this arrest warrant has blocked Putin's escape route, and the timing of Xi Jinping's visit is very embarrassing.

Qin Peng said that Xi Jinping wants to protect the party, and for the CCP, delaying the war, preventing Russia from being severely weakened, and preventing Putin from stepping down can prevent the CCP from becoming the next target of the international community's joint attack. Therefore, "in Putin's most difficult time, it will be an inevitable choice for Xi Jinping to provide him with important political and economic support."

German Minister of Justice: Arrest Putin upon entry. Zelenskyy praises ICC's decision

各国看普京“逮捕令” 德司法部长:入境就逮捕

The International Criminal Court recently issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of war crimes. German Justice Minister Buschmann warned that if Putin entered Germany, he would be arrested immediately.

German weekly Die Zeit reported that Federal Justice Minister Marco Buschmann (FDP) announced that Vladimir Putin would be subject to an arrest warrant if he ever set foot on German soil.

"I hope that the International Criminal Court (ICC) will quickly contact Interpol and the State party and demand law enforcement. If President Putin enters German territory, Germany is obliged to arrest him and hand him over to the ICC," Buschmann said.

Germany ratified the "Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court" in December 2000 and became a party to it. Unlike national law enforcement agencies, the ICC can take action against heads of state, Buschman said.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant on 17 March charging Putin with responsibility for war crimes committed in Ukraine.

The warrant also charges Putin and Russian officials, child rights commissioner Maria Alekeseyevna Lvova-Belova, with Russia's invasion of Ukraine beginning on 24 February 2022 , deporting people, especially children, from the occupied Ukrainian regions to Russia.

The British "Guardian" reported that the International Criminal Court considered issuing a secret arrest warrant, but decided to make it public, hoping that this would prevent further Russian crimes. Moscow has said it does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised the ICC's decision on social media, saying: "This is a historic decision and the responsibility of history will begin here."

"This is an important decision for international justice and for the people of Ukraine," said EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.

"Anyone responsible for the crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine, regardless of their status, should not escape justice," the French foreign ministry said.

Tang Jingyuan: There is no way out for Putin

Tang Jingyuan, a current affairs commentator, said in the "Vision Quick Review" that the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin, which means that Putin has no way out, and there are only two possible outcomes for the rest of his life: either to hold on to his power at all costs, or to be liquidated after death; or to be sent to trial and spend the rest of his life in prison.

Tang Jingyuan believes that from another perspective, the issuance of the arrest warrant, once again in the form of international law, completely negates the legitimacy of all Putin's excuses for launching a war of aggression against Ukraine. In other words, whoever supports Putin is tantamount to Putin's accomplice.

On the same day that Putin was issued an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that at the invitation of Putin, Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Russia from 20 to 22 March.

Two important joint documents will be signed

The Kremlin issued a statement saying that during Xi Jinping's visit to Russia, China and Russia will sign two important joint documents, one is a declaration on the entry of bilateral relations into a "new era" and the other is the plan to develop key areas of Sino-Russian economic cooperation until 2030.

At the same time, the U.S. political news magazine POLITICO revealed that, according to trade and customs data obtained by the media, China Ordnance Industry Group Co., Ltd., one of the largest state-owned defense contractors in the CCP, send at least 1,000 CQ-A in June 2022. The assault rifle was issued to a Russian company called Tekhkrim that has ties to the Russian government and military.

In addition, data shows that by the end of 2022, Russian entities received 12 shipments of drone parts and more than 12 tons of Chinese body armor delivered by Chinese companies.

News (22)

CCP has been aiding Russia from June to December 2022 with drone parts and arms

Tang Jingyuan analyzed that, judging from the information disclosed in the report, the CCP has been aiding Russia at least as early as June 2022, that is, when the Russia-Ukraine war broke out just over a hundred days ago, and it continued until the end of 2022.

News (23)

There is no gain from partnering Russia

He said that Xi Jinping's decision to visit Russia now shows signs of joining hands with Putin to make a big fight. He believes that uniting Russia to resist the United States, on the one hand, will delay Ukraine's attack, and on the other hand, step up blood transfusions to Russia to continue to hold back and consume the West. This is Xi Jinping's established national policy but man’s calculation is not as good as the sky’s calculation. This big chess game played by Xi Jinping may end up with a “unfinished” ending.

Beijing Citizen Qin Xiaopo arrested for resisting forced demolition

Reporters : Xiong Bin and Li Peiling / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2023/03/20/a103672651.html

Qin Xiaopo, a citizen of Changping District in Beijing and a graduate of Tsinghua University, was placed under residential surveillance by the authorities for six months because he resisted violent demolitions.

The houses of Qin Rong and Gao Heping, villagers of Maliandian Village, Dongxiaokou Town, Changping District, Beijing, were violently demolished by the local government on 29 August 2022. Qin Rong’s son, 41-year-old Qin Xiaopo, graduated from Tsinghua University, and Firecrackers resisted the forced demolition, but they were physically attacked, seriously injured and hospitalized, and their family members were not allowed to visit.

Gao Heping, a victim of forced demolitions in Beijing: "I haven't seen my son until now, since he was injured until now."

In the afternoon of 14 March, Qin Xiaopo's defense lawyers Bao Longjun and He Wei visited Qin Xiaopo in Xiaotangshan Hospital. Then the family members received an arrest notice, and Qin Xiaopo was detained in the Changping District Detention Center on suspicion of "explosion".

Mr. Guo, a Beijing resident: "(Qin Xiaopo) can't walk yet. He is still in the treatment period. His leg is broken. The injury is serious, he was burned, and he hasn't recovered yet. He called and told him that he was under residential surveillance, but he didn't take it. When it comes to residential surveillance procedures, during the epidemic, the lawyers met several times, but they didn’t see him in person, they were all video interviews, and Gao Heping didn’t even meet him. Now he’s been sent to the police station, and the procuratorate has approved his arrest.”

One month before Gao Heping’s house was forcibly demolished, the local government cut off the power at night on the grounds of epidemic prevention and closed roads, and led a group of people to violently beat Gao Heping, resulting in a compression fracture of her thoracic spine. She was hospitalized at her own expense for more than a month. She has not fully recovered.

Gao Heping: "My health is much better now, but I can't do it. I'm tired, I can't be tired at all, and I can't walk a little longer."

Mr. Guo, a Beijing resident: "Gao Heping's injury is not good. She is not like a normal person. It has been classified as a minor injury. The police department has not filed a case for the injury. She filed an administrative appeal and the house was destroyed. The district government has been terminated without giving a reason.”

Gao Heping’s house is a 3-storey house with a plot of more than 500 square metres, and another one-story house of nearly 200 square metres. Because the compensation was too low, no resettlement compensation agreement was reached. The local government violently demolished it on the grounds of restoring the land to its original state.

At the inaugural meeting of the Overseas Support Club, Lai Ching-te's huge portrait was "Lai Ching-te 2024" and his campaign slogan: "Strive for the economy, protect democracy, strengthen national defense, and protect peace." The support club said in a written statement: "Lai Ching-te grew up in a poor single-parent family. After becoming a doctor, he determined to participate in politics to help more people. From the National University, legislators, mayors, executive directors and vice presidents, experience He has also cultivated and maintained the proposition of 'cleanness, diligence, and love for the country' that he has insisted on since he entered politics."

Zhuang Zhenhui, the executive director of the support club and the chairman of the Eastern United States Department of the Democratic Progressive Party, said in an interview with this newspaper, "Lai Ching-te is the president of Taiwan and the Republic of China we need. He is honest, persistent, and stubborn in choosing the good." Zhuang Zhenhui said that overseas support for Lai Ching-te shows there are a lot of people there, and the club was originally called "Eastern US Club", but after other places heard the news, people from California, Africa, Europe, and Central and South America asked to join, so it was changed to "Overseas Support Club".

Zhuang Zhenhui said that he has known Lai Ching-te for more than ten years and feels that Lai Qingde is "very honest". "As the saying goes, 'When the water is clear, there will be no fish'. I joked to him, 'You are as clean as clear water, how can you have friends?' I hope he will change it." After a while, he smiled and didn't answer me. Later, I said to him, 'Sorry, I said this to you before, and I found that you are right.' The government must be clean so that it can govern for a long time. "

Zhuang Zhenhui also said that Lai Ching-te is willing to listen to the opinions of the people, and the people dare to tell him the truth. This quality is very important to the president. "When he was running for vice president, I went to Tainan. Everyone of his friends in Tainan told him the truth. I was surprised when I heard that. I said to him, 'I'm worried that you will become president, and people will speak good things about you. , you can’t hear the voices from outside.’ I didn’t expect the common people to tell him what’s wrong and what’s wrong. If a president has no one to talk to him, he can’t hear the voice of the common people.”

On 15 March 2023, Lai Ching-te completed the registration for the Democratic Progressive Party's presidential primary election and officially announced his candidacy for the 2024 ROC presidential election. Lai Ching-te said after completing the registration for the primary election that day: "Taiwan is located in a key position in the first island chain of the Indo-Pacific, directly facing China's (CCP's) increasing civil and military threats, diplomatic blockade, and (CCP's) big games and wars." Two-handed strategy, Taiwan is at a critical moment of survival and development, we must continue to strengthen Taiwan, stick to the democratic lineup, and ensure Taiwan's security."

Cai Rentai, the 90-year-old "big head" of the World Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, attended the inaugural meeting of the support club. He compared other people who might run for the president of Taiwan. He said, "I believe that only Lai Ching-te can lead Taiwan to a way out."

Fan Fengzhong, former president of the Taiwanese Public Affairs Association, said in his speech that the national interests of the United States in the Taiwan Strait overlap with those of Taiwan. The United States will never allow CCP China to own Taiwan, because it will pose a great threat to the security of the United States and the free world. Lai Ching-te adheres to his political philosophy, is not afraid of difficulties, and does not take short-term actions. He is the object of everyone's support and is the president of Taiwan that the U.S. government and the public and the free world expect.

Physician Wang Zhengqing said in his speech that Taiwan needs a strong leader who will continue to safeguard Taiwan's freedom and democracy and protect Taiwan from the CCP's rule. Lai Ching-te hated Hei Jin deeply. When he was the mayor of Tainan, he did not attend the Hei Jin Tainan Speaker's Council, which shows his courage. I hope everyone will vote for this leader who pragmatically safeguards Taiwan's democracy and freedom, does not approach black money, and is tolerant of different opinions.

Dr. Lai Hongdian, the former chairman of the DPP’s US East Party Department, said that only if the DPP continues to be in power can Taiwan’s democratic economy and prosperity as well as cross-strait peace and stability be maintained.

Jiang Junlin, former chairman of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the construction company, said that when Lai Ching-te was the mayor of Tainan, he actively promoted the formation of sister cities with other overseas cities, so that overseas Chinese businessmen can expand their business channels and leverage the influence of Taiwan's business circles overseas. . Representatives of the business community supported Lai Qingde to let the international market see the economic strength of the Taiwanese.

Peng Liangzhi, director-general of the World Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, said that he believes that Qingde can lead Taiwan to a brighter and splendid future.

In the end, everyone shouted: "TEAM TAIWAN! Overseas support Taiwan!" The fundraising goal of the Overseas Fan Club is to exceed NT$10 million, and more overseas Chinese are welcome to support.

Former White House National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien (Robert O'Brien) led a delegation to Taiwan on 20 March 2023. National Security Advisor O'Brien is conferred "Special Grand Cordon Star" by the Republic of Chian President Tsai Ing-wen on 21 March 2023.

O’Brien said recently that “the United States will destroy TSMC when China invades Taiwan by force”. He actually meant that only CCP President Xi Jinping and the CCP will destroy Taiwan. The United States is committed to ensuring Taiwan’s freedom and democracy. Any accusation against the United States will destroy or attack Taiwan’s statement is all propaganda and disinformation of the CCP.

China CDC expert: Influenza activity peak in some provinces in China has reached an inflection point

According to the information released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention on its official social platform on 20 March 2023, Wang Dayan, director of the National Influenza Center of the Institute of Viral Disease Prevention and Control of the China CDC, said that influenza in CCP China this year is about 2 months later than previous years. The influenza epidemic season has entered in March, and it has been monitored that the peak of influenza activity in several provinces has reached an inflection point and has begun to decline.

Wang Dayan said that the level of influenza activity in China began to increase in early February 2023, and the upward trend was obvious after the end of February, and reached its peak in mid-March. Although the overall level is still at a high level, it has also been monitored that the peak of influenza activity in several provinces has reached an inflection point and has begun to decline. This year has entered the influenza epidemic season about 2 months later than in previous years. The influenza virus circulating this time is dominated by influenza A (H1N1) subtype, followed by influenza A (H3N2) subtype.

Expert explains the delay of influenza A epidemic, measures to control covid can control influenza and other respiratory viruses

Influenza is generally prevalent in winter. Why is the influenza epidemic in China this year later than in previous years? Wang Dayan said that from the perspective of virus epidemics, in the past, the autumn and winter influenza epidemic season in CCP China generally started around the end of November, peaked in January of the following year, and lasted until around March. From December 2022 to January 2023, it coincides with the covid epidemic. The measures to prevent and control covid are also very effective in the prevention and control of seasonal influenza, which will suppress the epidemic of influenza and other respiratory viruses to a certain extent.

At the same time, since most people will consciously stay at home, go to work or suspend work after being infected with the covid virus. Most primary and secondary schools and kindergarten pupils will be on holiday, which reduces the risk of crowd gathering and virus transmission, resulting in a low level of influenza activity at the end of 2022. Influenza is seasonal.

Expert: Influenza A has not circulated in China in the past three years, influenza vaccination is low

Wang Dayan said that from the perspective of autoimmunity, the A/H1N1 subtype influenza virus has not circulated in China in the past three years, and the A/H3N2 subtype and B influenza have not caused high-level epidemics nationwide. The general public has lowered their awareness of influenza prevention and control, and the influenza vaccination rate is low, resulting in a reduction in the pre-existing immunity of the population, especially children, to the H1N1 influenza virus.

Expert claims influenza A peaks after implementation of "Class B and B control" of covid

Wang Dayan pointed out that in early 2023, after China implemented "Class B and B control" for covid, the international and domestic movement of people and social activities became normalized, and the flu activity dominated by the A/H1N1 subtype caused the spring flu peak in China. In late February 2023, influenza activity rose rapidly, with a lag of approximately 2 months compared to previous normal influenza seasons.

The expert also mentioned that seasonal influenza is not only prevalent in autumn and winter, winter and spring. Southern provinces in China often have a summer influenza peak in summer, which usually peaks between June and July.
