The "three don'ts" for Ma Ying-jeou

In response to Ma Ying-jeou's mainland ancestor worship trip, Wang Dingyu, a legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party, posted on Facebook in the evening of 19 March, calling on Ma Ying-jeou to "three don'ts, one don't forget", that is: don't echo the CCP's "anti-Taiwan independence"; don't echo the "92-1 Don't say stupid things like 'Taiwan's future is determined by the people on both sides of the strait'; more importantly, "Don't forget that you were the democratically elected president of Taiwan in the Republic of China, don't be disqualified!".

Wang Dingyu analyzed in the article that the CCP's so-called "anti-Taiwan independence" includes the meaning of denying the Republic of China and Taiwan and maintaining the status quo. Echoing the CCP's "anti-Taiwan independence" is a betrayal of the Republic of China and Taiwan. The so-called "92 One China" is actually "locking the future of Taiwan's 23 million people into China's internal affairs." Accepting this statement is equivalent to ruining Taiwan's international Olympic aid and slapping the international democratic camp in support of Taiwan. It is even more a betrayal of the Taiwanese people.

The stupid statements of CCP

He said that the current situation in mainland China is that the Chinese Communist Party claims to "represent" the 1.2 billion Chinese people. The so-called "Taiwan's future is determined by the people on both sides of the strait" is a stupid statement that puts the future of the 23 million Taiwanese people in the hands of the "one party" the Chinese Communist Party and Xi Jinping in one hand".

Ma Ying-jeou's visit to CCP China would affect KMT's result in the 2024 election

In the evening of  19 March 2023, Chen Tingfei, a legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party, told the media that the statement of the Ma Office was like a "big shock bomb" and would affect the KMT's 2024 election. She questioned that the so-called "1992 Consensus" of the CCP emphasizes "one China". Under this premise, "what role will Ma Ying-jeou use to visit China"?

Chen Tingfei reminded Ma Ying-jeou to remember that the CCP authorities have been suppressing Taiwan's international space and diplomatic participation. She emphasized that Ma Ying-jeou's actions can only represent him personally, not the people of Taiwan, because "the people of Taiwan do not allow you to do such a so-called visit".
