On the 20th, a video surfaced from Beijing showing a sign reading "Beijing People's Visiting Reception Room" hung in a location resembling a park, but no office space was visible. A large number of petitioners with Beijing accents gathered there, cursing the Chinese Communist Party authorities.

One male petitioner, on crutches, bluntly stated, "Today is October 20, 2025. Today is the Fourth Plenary Session of the Communist Party, but it's also a day of suffering for the most vulnerable people in China." He complained that the "People's Visiting Reception Room" sign was simply hung there, but staff told them it was just a platform and "had nothing to do with the government."
