On a recent episode of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCTV) program "Focus Interview," Xiamen police accused the Taiwanese mobile game "Reverse United Front: Beacon Fire" of "splitting the country." In a rare display, they recited the slogan "Kill the Communist bandits on August 15th" in front of a nationwide audience, prompting the game team to exclaim, "You have conveyed a more important message to the general public. We have both fulfilled our respective missions."

Developed by a Taiwanese team, "Reverse United Front: Beacon Fire" has been repeatedly attacked by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) government and "Little Pinks" (Little Pinks) since its fundraising and official launch in April of this year. In June of this year, Hong Kong police banned Hong Kong residents from downloading or purchasing the game, citing "endangering national security."

On 12 October 2025, CCTV released a special feature titled "Punishing Separatism in Action: Focusing on Taiwan's New Combat Team." The video specifically mentioned "Reverse United Front: Beacon Fire" as involving "splitting the country," and featured Xiamen police reciting the game's slogan, "Kill the Communist bandits on August 15th."

Xiamen police accused the game of labeling Xinjiang as "Turkic," the area beyond the Great Wall as "Mongolia," the southwest as "Tibet," and the area outside Shanhaiguan as "Manchuria," even including the line "Kill the Communist bandits on August 15th," fully embodying "separatist ideology."

In response, the "Anti-United Front: War" team posted a sarcastic Facebook post yesterday: "In case you didn't know, on October 12, 2025, this man recited the phrase 'Kill the Communist bandits on August 15th' from our game on CCTV in front of 1.4 billion people, causing countless viewers to doubt their ears and even wonder if CCTV had broadcast it wrong."

The team concluded: "We don't mind you not mentioning the game's name, because you've accomplished something more important for us—making 'Kill the Communist bandits on August 15th' resound throughout China."
