Myanmar reports a total of 90713 confirmed covid cases on 1 December 2020

As of 1 December 2020, Myanmar has surpassed the People's Republic of China in the total number of official confirmed covid cases. Its Ministry of Health & Sports reported that Myanmar has a total of 90713 confirmed covid cases while 70156 covid patients have recovered and 1941 people in Myanmar have passed away from covid as at 1 December.

Due to the severity of the covid pandemic, the domestic airlines of Myanmar have again suspended commercial flights till 15 December 2020 while international airlines deferred commercial flights to Yangon till New Year's Eve. According to local authorities, this is the tenth time that the airlines have deferred commercial flights due to the pandemic since 29 March 2020 although relief and charter flights from other countries may continue.

Existing flights to Yangon are decided and arranged by the Myanmar Foreign Ministry. According to the foreign ministry officials, the overseas Myanmar migrant workers have no right to decide the date of their return. They have to download forms, fill in the forms and forward the registration forms to the foreign ministry for consideration. They can only return to Yangon if they are accepted by the ministry. The ministry officials encourage healthy migrant workers to remain in the host countries until the pandemic in Myanmar is over.

Even if if the Myanmar migrant workers are able to land in Yangon, they have to be quarantined for two weeks in Yangon if they display any symptom of covid after covi testing. It is not known if they have to pay for quarantine and if affirmative the cost of quarantine. According to the foreign ministry, the Myanmar government does not mandate that Myanmar migrant workers need to be tested for covid while in the host countries before departure.

The Myanmar Times on 1 December 2020 quoted U Than Naing Soe, the Ministry of Health & Sports spokesman, as reporting that the covid pandemic has overwhelmed Myanmar's healthcare system, which is "struggling to control and prevent the spread of COVID-19".

Pennsylvania lawmakers formally introduce Resolution to Dispute 2020 Election Results

Reporter : Ivan Pentchoukov / Publisher : The Epoch Times PREMIUM

Republican state lawmakers in Pennsylvania on November 30 introduced a resolution to dispute the results of the 2020 election. The text of the resolution, first previewed in a memo on November 27, states that the executive and judicial branches of the Keystone State’s government usurped the legislature’s constitutional power to set the rules of the election.

“Officials in the Executive and Judicial Branches of the Commonwealth infringed upon the General Assembly’s authority under the Constitution of the United States by unlawfully changing the rules governing the November 3, 2020, election in the Commonwealth,” the resolution (pdf) states.

The resolution calls on the secretary of the Commonwealth to withdraw the “premature certification” of the presidential election and delay certifying other races. It declares the 2020 election to be in dispute, and urges the U.S. Congress “to declare the selection of presidential electors in this Commonwealth to be in dispute.”

Members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly said in a statement: “A number of compromises of Pennsylvania’s election laws took place during the 2020 General Election. The documented irregularities and improprieties associated with mail-in balloting, pre-canvassing, and canvassing have undermined our elector process and, as a result, we cannot accept certification of the results in statewide races.

“We believe this moment is pivotal and important enough that the General Assembly needs to take extraordinary measures to answer these extraordinary questions. We also believe our representative oversight duty as Pennsylvania’s legislative branch of government demands us to re-assume our constitutional authority and take immediate action.”

The proposed text lists three steps taken by the judicial and executive branches to change the rules of the election.

First, on September 17, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court “unlawfully and unilaterally” extended the deadline by which mail ballots could be received, mandated that ballots without a postmark would be treated as timely, and allowed for ballots without a verified voter signature to be accepted, the resolution says.

Second, on October 23, upon a petition from the secretary of the commonwealth, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that signatures on mail-in ballots need not be authenticated.

And third, on November 2, the secretary of the commonwealth “encouraged certain counties to notify party and candidate representatives of mail-in voters whose ballots contained defects,” the resolution states.

All of the changes are contrary to the Pennsylvania Election Code, which requires mail-in ballots to be received at 8 p.m. on Election Day, mandates that signatures on the mail-in ballots be authenticated, and forbids the counting of defective mail-in ballots.

The resolution also lists a variety of election irregularities and potential fraud, including the issues brought up by witnesses during the hearing before the Pennsylvania Senate Majority Policy Committee on Nov. 25.

“On November 24, 2020, the Secretary of the Commonwealth unilaterally and prematurely certified results of the November 3, 2020 election regarding presidential electors despite ongoing litigation,” the resolution states.

“The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has the duty to ensure that no citizen of this Commonwealth is disenfranchised, to insist that all elections are conducted according to the law, and to satisfy the general public that every legal vote is counted accurately.”

Pennsylvania State Sen. Doug Mastriano, a Republican, said on Nov. 27 that the GOP-controlled state legislature will make a bid to reclaim its power to appoint the state’s electors to the Electoral College, saying they could start the process on November 30.

“So, we’re going to do a resolution between the House and Senate, hopefully today,” he told Steve Bannon’s War Room on November 27.

U.S. Historian: America today is equivalent to China in 1949

Editor : Tang Ying / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2020/12/01/a102999088.html / Direct translation

Image : Xin Haonian, a famous historian in the United States, said recently that from a historical perspective, the fate of China and the CCP are closely related to the current US election. (NTDTV Quality Picture)

A few days ago, Xin Haonian, a well-known historian in the United States, was interviewed by the media. From a historical perspective, he compared and analyzed today’s US election and the tactics used by the Chinese Communists in usurping power in 1949. . He said, "If the United States does not want to repeat the fate of the Republic of China today, it must support President Trump's final victory in the general election."

Lin Wood, a member of Trump's lawyers and a well-known human rights lawyer, recently criticized the leftist media for manipulating public opinion in the general election. “The media has increased content censorship so that people who should hear the truth cannot hear the truth. We are experiencing the Communist Party’s brainwashing propaganda.”

Xin Haonian felt the same way. On November 29, in an interview with The Epoch Times, he said that in the Chinese media in the United States, the vast majority of Chinese media tell lies, willing to disseminate fake news, willing to create fake news for the Chinese Communist Party and the U.S. Democratic Party, and pusing America into a fire pit.

"I myself have spoken everywhere overseas for more than 20 years. I have seen most Chinese reports. Except for the Epoch Times and NTDTV, most of them basically tell lies." Xin Haonian said.

He also named many mainstream media in the United States as "fake reporting stations," and some even became CCP informants. "They can tamper with the theme, main characters, and moderators of your entire meeting. This situation is not once or twice, but lasts for 20 years." "Anything that is bad about the CCP will be deleted and even say that the CCP is good."

He pointed out that this situation is similar to that between 1948 and 1949, when the Chinese Communist Party used the freedom of the press to manipulate the media to lie, control public opinion, deceive the people, and oppose the National Government!

Xin Haonian also said that the situation faced by the Republic of China around 1945 is very similar to what happened to President Trump after he took office in 2016.

The government of the Republic of China led by Mr. Chiang Kai-shek wanted to fight the war of resistance against Japan externally and insisted on implementing democratic constitutional government internally. However, the Communist Party infiltrates and manipulates the media and uses press freedom to control public opinion. Propagating communist ideas, tempting young people who do not understand world affairs, inciting riots, attacking the government of the Republic of China, and finally allowing mainland China to fall into a place ruled by the scarlet devil.

Today, the Communist Party also uses socialist ideas to poison young children in American universities, and uses communist ideas to lure them into using various means to overthrow the government.

Xin Haonian said, "Does the United States repeat the fate of the Republic of China today?"

He emphasized that only by clearly seeing and resisting the devil's methods of this election can Americans protect the true democracy and freedom of the United States.

Xin Haonian used the book "The Devil is Ruling Our World" to compare this US election. He pointed out that the devil is preparing to rule the United States. Some politicians and mainstream elites in the United States have been reduced to "demons who are not the devil."

He said, "During the more than 30 years of unwarranted opening up in the West, (the CCP) has put all demons large and small in the Western world and in the United States to make trouble in the United States. This is not when President Trump came to power. Later, we felt that we all saw the United States being infiltrated by the CCP.

He pointed out that the CCP is the world’s largest criminal organization, “To completely eliminate the devil, we must first solve the problems of the Communist Party of China, solve the world’s largest criminal organization, and completely solve the hidden dangers of the earth and mankind (the CCP). ) Can avoid a huge crisis and move forward healthy and normal."

"If Trump cannot be re-elected as president this time, what will be the result? The devil is really ruling the United States, and then the devil is ruling the entire world." Xin Haonian said.

Xin Haonian, whose real name is Gao Erpin, was born in Nanjing on November 2, 1947, and his native place is Chao County, Anhui Province. He now lives in the United States. Originally a writer, he was the vice chairman of the Anhui Youth Federation. At the age of 47, he went overseas to study modern Chinese history. He changed his name to "Xin Hao Nian" with the homonym of "Xinhai Year" and authored the book "Who is New China".

Xin Haonian believes that Trump will eventually win the U.S. election. "Because in my mind, Trump is a person with a heart of benevolence and righteousness, and righteousness must win! Although the benevolent and righteous have to go through a lot of hardships and demons, the final victory belongs to the benevolent and righteous, not the devil."

"We believe in the righteous world, in God's arrangements, and in God. I believe that the vast majority of the American people have awakened. The people are supporting their re-election of President Trump. I am waiting for the good news of his re-election. I hope everyone will be able to wait for this good news and be blessed."

Poll Challenger, Dominion Contractor: Voting machines in Detroit were connected to Internet

Reporter : Xiao Bowen / Publisher : The Epoch Times PREMIUM

A contractor for Dominion Voting Systems who performed IT work at the TCF Center in Michigan and a former state senator who was a poll challenger both say that the voting machines used in the November 3 election were connected to the internet.

Melissa Carone—a freelance IT worker who submitted a sworn affidavit on Nov. 10 detailing a barrage of what she called fraudulent actions during her time at the voting center—said she was called into a hotel in Allen Park on Nov. 2 where the whole Dominion team was staying in order to attend a training of sorts.

In that hotel conference room, there was a tabulator and an adjudication machine the team was told to walk around the room and look at. Carone said a Dominion manager (the man who initially contacted her for the position) talked for around an hour telling the team where they were going to be assigned for the election.

“They gave us a binder that they told us to go through, which actually was very beneficial to me and a lot of the attorneys because it gave a lot of information regarding their software and image cast and how, yes, the machines were connected to the Wi-Fi. Absolutely,” she told The Epoch Times. “It even says it in there.”

In the bottom right-hand corner of the computers used to tabulate and adjudicate ballots there is a Wi-Fi signal but it doesn’t show if the machines were connected to the worldwide web or if they were just connected to a network, Carone said, unless a mouse hovers over it. She was not allowed access to it, she said.

“In the manual that they provided me with it says to make sure that every tabulating machine is connected via Ethernet cable,” Carone added.

Carone’s affidavit was submitted as a supplement to a lawsuit in Michigan. The suit was brought in early November by the Great Lakes Justice Center on behalf of Cheryl Costantino and Edward McCall. Plaintiffs allege that because of multiple irregularities, the election in Wayne County should be voided.

Carone’s main role was to assist Dominion with IT work: it involved inspecting the tabulating machines or adjudication machines and to help anybody who needed it. She would often open the tabulators to fix any paper jams or other issues with the machine.

Patrick Colbeck, a former state senator, aerospace engineer, and a poll challenger at the TCF center in Detroit, said in a sworn affidavit that the machines appeared to have been connected to the internet. Colbeck said the area had wireless routers set up with networks called “CPSStaff” and “AV Counter” broadcast in the area.

All it takes to confirm the connectivity status of a Windows computer “is to roll the cursor over the LAN connection icon in the bottom right corner of the display. When there is no internet connection, a unique icon showing a cross-hatched globe appears. I proceeded to review the terminal screens for the Tabulator and Adjudicator computers and I observed the icon that indicates internet connection on each terminal,” according to Colbeck’s affidavit.

“All the tabulator computers were connected via Ethernet cables to a network router,” Colbeck told The Epoch Times. “And that router, in turn, was connected to another router that was connected to the adjudicators. Those were connected to another router/firewall which was connected to the internet, which was connected to the local data center.”

“Anybody who understands IT knows that if one computer is connected on a network to the internet, all the computers on that network are connected to the internet. And I know that the local data center was connected to the other networks,” he added.

Colbeck said he later approached some of the election officials at the center and told them they could dispel his concerns by simply moving their mouse over the icon and that a pop up would appear indicating if the computer was connected to the internet or not.

The officials would not move their mouse for him, Colbeck said. They told him to trust their word.

Colbeck said a number of different affidavits have been submitted detailing some of the “weird things happening on the network.” He said there were outages and error messages.

“The errors that popped up on the computers with the tabulators and adjudicators was something called backup overflow,” he said. “That’s not a standard Windows error message. Where you do see that error message is when you’re trying to backup to a SQL database. Now, either each one of these tabulators had their own SQL database built into that workstation, or they’re trying to connect to some outside database that was not local at that workstation.”

“Many of the features of Dominion that are being characterized as glitches are actually designed features of dominion to help people manipulate the results of the election,” Colbeck asserted.

Voting machines connected to the internet are particularly vulnerable to hackers. According to a 2020 fact sheet published by the Michigan Bureau of Elections: “Voting machines cannot be connected to the internet during ballot tabulation.” But the bureau states that after counting is finished and a paper record is generated, some jurisdictions “connect the machines to the internet to send unofficial results to the county clerk.”

On Election day and the day after, Carone said she also witnessed countless workers rescanning batches of mail-in-ballots at the TCF Center without disregarding them first, resulting in the ballots being counted 4 to 5 times in some instances.

Workers were handed a batch of around 50 mail-in ballots at a time that they would run through tabulators, which would often get jammed.

“I witnessed countless workers rescanning the batches without discarding them first which resulted in ballots being counted 4-5 times,” she said in her affidavit.

When she brought up these concerns to a Dominion manager, he told her: “Melissa, I don’t want to hear it. We are here to assist with IT, we are not here to run their election.”

Carone said the adjudication process normally involves both a Republican and a Democrat judging the ballots, but during a night shift she overheard two women talking about their political party—they were both Democrats and they decided to sit together.

“There was no oversight,” she said. “Nobody asking them any questions. It was just a free-for-all.”

Carone said she will soon submit a second sworn affidavit containing information she says will “shine a lot of light on this and how it happened.” She has since contacted the FBI on two occasions, in one instance speaking with a woman for over an hour, but the bureau never called her back or followed up with her after receiving her information.

Carone said Dominion machines “absolutely” had the had the capacity to switch votes. In her affidavit, she mentioned Dominion employees talking to each other about a data loss and that they “all got on their phones and stepped to the side of the stage.”

“I don’t believe that was actually a data loss,” she said. “That was what my boss told me. I believe that was when Dominion found out Trump was ahead by over 130,000 votes.”

Dominion did not immediately respond to an emailed request by The Epoch Times for comment on this article. On their website they categorically deny what they describe as “false assertions about vote switching and software issues” with their systems.

Chaos

There was an intense atmosphere of intimidation toward Republican poll challengers in the TCF Center, according to Carone. Numerous Republican poll challengers were “pushed aside.”

“I was told [by Dominion] not to talk to them, not to answer any questions,” she said. “They were just treating them awfully, very rude.”

At one point during the night, steel ballot boxes were placed behind the poll counters.

“They were trying to create a barricade between the poll challengers and the counters,” she said. “As the night went on more ballots got put into these boxes and they would start stacking them, creating a higher barricade.”

Carone said in her affidavit that she was the only Republican working for Dominion in Detroit. She described the atmosphere in the center as “very tense.”

“Dominion employees and the city workers were making comments about people that had any kind of an American flag on their attire, that they were automatically deemed Trump supporters,” she said. “They were just making comments saying how disgusting Trump is.”

“I just started acting like I was a Democrat because I didn’t want them to even get suspicious of it,” she added. “I was just nervous, you know?”

During her first 24-hour shift, Carone said she did not see a single ballot for Trump. The next day she did witness some.

Carone said she does not have any faith in the integrity of Dominion’s software or tabulating process. Dominion has not contacted her about the contents of her affidavit or of her allegations.

Arizona election hearing experts expose loopholes in election system

On Monday, Arizona, the United States held a hearing on election fraud. Trump team lawyer Giuliani urged the state legislature to exercise its constitutional right to choose electors. At the same time, a large number of people came outside the hearing to support President Trump.

Trump team lawyer Giuliani told Arizona Republican state lawmakers at a hearing on Monday that in American history, countless men and women have stood up to protect the rights and freedoms of Americans. He said that now is the time for lawmakers to stand up because the U.S. Constitution grants the state legislature the right to appoint electors for that state.

Giuliani, the Trump team lawyer said, "You, the Arizona State Assembly, have the absolute right to choose electors in the presidential election."

Another Trump team lawyer present, Jenna Ellis, said that the Trump team is not asking the state legislature to overturn the election results, but asking not to certify fraudulent election results.

During the hearing on Monday, the Arizona Secretary of State formally certified the state’s election results and awarded 11 electoral votes to Biden.

Current affairs commentator Lin Xiaoxu said, "The biggest challenge is that the governor here has verified that Biden has won. However, the senators and congressmen of the state here are very firm, and they will soon propose a new proposal: It is to bring back the rights of the electors."

The primary voting method in Arizona is to post ballots. Giuliani said that many of the election frauds in Arizona are related to mailed ballots.

Giuliani, the Trump team lawyer, said, "We have been warned for the past 20 years that the massive use of mailed ballots will lead to a lot of election fraud."

In addition, the first witness at the hearing, a retired colonel and cybersecurity expert Phil Waldron (Phil Waldron) said that the Dominion vote counting system was designed to manipulate elections.

Cybersecurity expert Colonel Phil Waldron said, "Their systems have been used around the world and have brought questionable results. We believe that this general election also presented questionable results."

Colonel Waldron’s team investigation found that on election day, the Dominion system was connected to the Internet and appeared suspicious.

Outside the hearing that day, a large number of people came to express their support for President Trump.

Supporter of Trump in Arizona: "He defeated the false Russian investigation, he defeated the false impeachment, he defeated fake news, fake polls, and now this (leftist) system thinks they can defeat them with fake votes. He, we will not allow this to happen."

Current affairs commentator Lin Xiaoxu said, "On the whole, the people (in the United States) should come out to defend the Constitution."

Arizona Lawmakers Call For Resolution to Hold Back Electoral College Votes

Reporter : Xiao Bowen / Publisher : The Epoch Times

At a public hearing in Arizona with select members of the state legislature and members of President Donald Trump’s legal team, lawmakers called for their colleagues to support an upcoming resolution that would delay the release of the state’s Electoral College votes.

Arizona state Rep. Mark Finchem told reporters during the Nov. 30 hearing that they hope to have a resolution “within the next 24 to 48 hours.” The state holds 11 Electoral College votes.

“We are clawing our Electoral College votes back, we will not release them,” Finchem said. “That’s what I’m calling on our colleagues in both the House and Senate to do—exercise our plenary authority under the U.S. Constitution.

“There is a legal brief out there that says we are not tethered to state statute when it comes to this one question.”

According to Finchem, the move would be easy to make and would be legally binding.

“A simple majority can call the House and Senate back, and in a day can pass a resolution and cause those electoral votes to basically be held,” he said. “And it is binding—I’ll see y’all in court.”

In total, nine Republican state lawmakers attended the meeting, which was held at a hotel in downtown Phoenix. They had requested permission to hold a formal legislative hearing at the state Capitol but were denied by the Republican House speaker and Senate president, according to The Associated Press.

Trump’s attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, alongside witnesses, appeared in front of members of the Arizona Legislature alleging that considerable voter fraud occurred in the state. They also pushed for the Republican-majority state House and Senate to hold a vote on the certification of the election.

During the hearing, a cybersecurity expert said the user manual for Dominion Voting Systems machines guides users on how to connect to the internet, and that the machines, used by multiple states, were connected to the internet during the election.

“The Dominion suite user manual is about an inch and a half thick. My team went back through the user manual and looked at all the instances where in the user’s manual, it tells operators to connect the ethernet cords to the router, and it is, the systems are connected to the internet,” said Phil Waldron, a cybersecurity expert and retired Army colonel.

“Our teams looked at spirographs on the Dominion network on Election Day and showed the increased web traffic, internet traffic on Election Day for Dominion servers.

“In a nutshell, these systems are not what you’ve been told, if you’ve been told anything.

“They are connected to the internet. There is no transparency of how the voter information is processed, moved, and stored. And, as a matter of fact, these companies have refused to allow any type of inspection into their code and they always decry, it’s our IP, it’s IP protection.”

In 2016, Trump won the state’s 11 electoral votes by less than 100,000 votes. In the 17 presidential elections between 1952 and 2016, only one Democratic candidate won Arizona—Bill Clinton in 1996.

Arizona’s secretary of state on Nov. 30 certified the state’s presidential election results. Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a Democrat, said in a press conference that despite the pandemic and other complexities, “we had an extremely well-run election and saw historically high voter participation.”

During the hearing, a volunteer poll observer and worker in Arizona’s Pima County told Republican Arizona state legislators that she had been told by state election officials to allow people to vote who may not have been properly registered to vote in Arizona on Election Day.

“I was having to allow people to vote who literally had just moved here. A large percentage had addresses from two apartment complexes,” poll observer Anna Orth said.

Orth said “many” of these individuals were “residents for not more than a month,” adding that from her observations, she estimated that about 2,000 people appeared to be out-of-state voters.

According to Pima County’s elections website, people can vote if they have lived within Pima County “at least 29 days prior to the general election.”

These people, she said, had out-of-state driver’s licenses but attempted to show proof they could vote by presenting a utility bill that suggested they lived in the precinct.

Orth then alleged she had spoken to a poll observer who said he was from Los Angeles and told her “he was there to turn Arizona blue,” meaning Democratic.

She said the man told her: “We’re here specifically to turn this precinct blue. This is one of our problem ones. I came from another precinct in Maricopa [County].” There was a group of them there, she added.

The man’s job, Orth said, was to make sure that anyone who was turned away from voting could vote. When questioned further, the man allegedly said he is in contact with several lawyers to make sure of that, according to Orth, who said she submitted an affidavit about her claims under penalty of perjury.

Also, on Nov. 24, the head of the Arizona Republican Party filed a petition for early inspection of mail-in-ballot envelopes and signatures. The court petition against the 11 Arizona Democrat presidential electors also seeks inspection of duplicate ballots with their originals in Maricopa County.

The petition was filed by Arizona Republican Party chairwoman Kelli Ward.

“A formal legal elections challenge is expected to be filed soon alleging that the process used to validate ballots returned by mail was legally insufficient,” the Arizona Republican Party said in a statement. “The critical process of verifying a signature determines whether a vote is counted.”

Selecting Electors

At the hearing, Trump’s lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis pushed for the GOP-majority state House and Senate to hold a vote on the certification of the election.

“Your political career is worth losing to save the right to vote in America,” Giuliani told the Republican senators. “At times in our history, men and women stepped forward to defend Americans’ rights and liberties.”

The U.S. Constitution, Giuliani said, stipulates that state legislatures have the authority to certify a state’s electors.

“You, the legislature of Arizona, have the plenary power to regulate the selection of electors in a presidential election,” he said, adding that the Supreme Court has ruled that state houses and senates can reclaim the power to name electors.

“I don’t see how a decent, honest person could let this happen.”

Ellis said the president’s campaign wasn’t asking the legislature to overturn the results of the election, but to rather, not certify allegedly fraudulent results.

The office of Arizona’s secretary of state didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time. Previously, Hobbs said she had seen no evidence of irregularities or fraud in the election that could overturn the results of the election.

Current data shows Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden leading Trump by about 11,000 votes in the state.

Earlier, Giuliani opened by saying that socialist-leaning politicians and officials have gradually eroded the personal liberties of Americans, noting that the allegedly fraudulent election process on Nov. 3 was an extension of that.

“We have been warned for 20 years that going to major mail-in ballots … will be fraught with tremendous fraud,” he said. “We were warned by former President Jimmy Carter,” former Supreme Court Justice David Souter, and prominent Democrats to “never do it.”

“Democrats used to be against mail-in ballots,” he said, adding that the current crop of politicians has reversed that viewpoint to gain more “money and power.”

In Arizona, much of the state’s alleged fraud had to do with the mail-in ballot system, Giuliani said.

“Once the ballot is separated from the envelope, it’s gone forever,” he said.

In Pima and Maricopa counties, there are hundreds of thousands of votes that should be “declared null and void,” the former mayor alleged. There was “clear fraud” in which poll workers were observed changing votes in Arizona, he said, remarking that ballot box stuffing also occurred.

Trump Ballots Defaulted and Switched to Biden Votes on Dominion System: Maricopa GOP Chairwomen

Reporter : Isabel Van Brugen / Publisher : The Epoch Times

Maricopa County GOP chairwoman Linda Brickman on Nov. 30 testified before members of the Arizona State Legislature that she personally observed votes for President Donald Trump being tallied as votes for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden when input into Dominion machines.

Brickman, the GOP head of one of the country’s largest counties and a veteran county elections worker, submitted her testimony in a sworn affidavit under penalty of perjury. She testified that she and her Democratic partner witnessed “more than once” Trump votes default and shift to Biden when they were entering votes into Dominion machines from ballots that couldn’t be read by machines.

She alleged that she was later threatened by election supervisors at the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (MCTEC) for speaking out about what she had witnessed.

“I observed, with my Democratic partner, the preparation of a new ballot, since the original one was soiled, or wouldn’t go through the tabulators. I read her a Trump Republican ballot, and as soon as she entered it into the system, the ballot defaulted on the screen to a Biden Democratic ballot,” Brickman told GOP Arizona State legislators on Monday.

She remarked that when she reported the issue to election supervisors, others in the room also commented that they had “witnessed the same manipulation.”

“We were never told what, if any corrective action was taken,” Brickman continued. “All I know is the next day, I was called outside the room that I was working in for signature verification by a supervisor who said, ‘I understand you caused some problems this week and you thought our machines were not working correctly.’

“I was told at that point in time that I could not discuss anything or talk about what was going on.

“Many people were threatened,” Brickman told the hearing. “They were told that their voices would be suppressed, they would have to leave the room and not work there again. I’m here because I think this is our duty to speak the truth.”

She told the hearing that she was yelled at and “reprimanded” by her own supervisor, who accused her of causing trouble and “bringing things up that I shouldn’t have.”

She also said that before the election, during testing and certification of the Dominion voting machines on Nov. 18, she had refused to approve the certification of the Dominion system during a meeting with Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) because the machines had malfunctioned during the test, and were shut down and reset by Dominion staff instead of corrected.

She said that no explanation was given about the errors. “We could see the machines but we could not see or observe the software behind the machine to confirm what had really gone on,” she added.

Trump’s legal team had previously pointed to witness testimony alleging that election results from Dominion Voting Systems are susceptible to manipulation—an allegation that the company has repeatedly denied.

Writing for the Wall Street Journal in a piece published this week, Dominion CEO John Poulos said recent claims against the company “fueled the harassment of election officials and Dominion employees across the country,” including death threats.

“The lies and smears have no basis in fact but they do real damage to our democracy by casting doubt on the legitimacy of the electoral process. The false allegations should be retracted immediately,” he said.

Dominion has not responded yet to a request from The Epoch Times for comment.

Brickman in the hearing also testified to a number of other voting irregularities that she directly observed, including the constant lowering of signature verification standards by her election supervisors in order to “move more quickly” and process the higher amount of early and mail-in ballots received for the November election.

“Standards were lowered from approximately 15 points of similarities … reduced to a minimum of three, and then lowered to one, and ultimately none,” Brickman said, recalling that she was told to “just pass each signature verification through.”

“We were told, ‘Too many rejections have already been turned in … we need to move more quickly.’ This is not the way an election should be run. Where’s the integrity?” Brickman challenged.

The GOP chairwoman also said she observed signatures on envelopes that were completely different from the name of the listed voter being let through by election supervisors.

“So the ones who signed the envelopes were not the actual voters, but these were allowed to go through with ‘Maricopa County verified’ stamped on the outside of each affidavit envelope,” she said.

Batches of envelopes bearing the same handwriting for different signatures were also observed, she said.

“There were at least 30 ballots that I saw at one time, that were signed by the same handwriting but on different voters’ names,” Brickman testified. “When I asked if the county attorney would be alerted for possible fraud, I was told ‘no,’ that supervisors would take care of it.”

One of the most “egregious” irregularities, Brickman said, was the turning away of Trump votes as duplicated votes or “overvotes” because the voter filled checked both the bubble for Trump on the ballot but also wrote in the president’s name under the write-in candidate.

“This would continue on as an overvote, which means no vote was counted at all despite the policy having been changed to allow these overvotes. Supervisors contradicted their own policies where the [voter’s] intent was clear,” she said.

“I am here today again not as an expert in the Dominion software but as a voter in Maricopa County who wants to hear and speak the truth even though myself and others have been suppressed to speak before you now,” Brickman told the hearing.

“There should be integrity,” she said.
