The patient is a 36-year-old male who was a staff member of the Shanghai branch of FedEx (China) Co., Ltd. located at the airport's west terminal.

In the previous process of tracing the source of the epidemic, the local cases in Beijing, Dalian, Liaoning, and Qingdao in Shandong also pointed the finger at the cold chain related links. At the same time, many parts of the country have imported cold chain foods that have tested positive for nucleic acid.

As Wu Zunyou, chief expert of epidemiology at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said before, more and more evidence shows that frozen seafood or meat products may introduce viruses from affected countries into China.

The above-mentioned meeting requires that for air port entry personnel, strengthen professional and technical training for isolation service personnel, strictly regulate the provision of services, and strengthen closed-loop control of transportation and home observation.
