Tianjin Air Cargo launches flight to Singapore on 20 June 2021

At 9.23 am on 20 June 2021, a B737-800F all-cargo aircraft operated by Tianjin Air Cargo, carrying cargo mainly cross-border e-commerce goods, took off from Nanning Airport to Singapore, marking the official launch of "Nanning-Singapore" all-cargo flight route.

 

This route is operated by Guangxi Tianhang International Supply Chain Co., Ltd. The schedule is planned to be four times a week, and the flight time is 3 hours and 50 minutes. The main outbound cargo is cross-border e-commerce cargo, and the inbound cargo is cosmetics, alcohol, brand-name shoes and clothing China’s duty-free commodities have a maximum payload of 23 tons for aircraft.

According to the Guangxi Department of Commerce, in recent years, with the acceleration of the construction of the new western land-sea corridor and the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Guangxi and Singapore have become increasingly close to each other and conduct extensive cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, culture, and tourism. At present, Singapore has become the largest investor in Guangxi from ASEAN countries.

Guangxi Civil Aviation Industry Development Co., Ltd. (Guangxi Aviation Development Company for short), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangxi Airport Management Group, opened the Nanning-Singapore route, which will intensify the trade exchanges between Nanning and even Guangxi and Singapore, and deepen mutual trade relations. Together with the previously opened all-cargo routes to  Ho Chi Minh City, Suvarnabhumi and KLIA, it has jointly constructed a network of freight routes from Nanning to ASEAN, which in fact broadened the economic and trade channels between Guangxi and ASEAN, and promoted the development of Guangxi's open economy.

At the same time, Nanning Wuxu Airport Customs optimizes the supervision process, guides companies to file aircraft and manifests through the single window of international trade, and uses the "advance declaration, arrival inspection and release" model to improve customs clearance efficiency, optimize the business environment, and ensure international freight routes "Manageable and fast traffic" also makes international freight routes "stable" to a certain extent.

At present, Nanning has 5 international all-cargo routes and 1 international passenger-to-cargo route. Guangxi Aviation Development Company stated that it will base its positioning and plan to open more freight routes to ASEAN, and is deeply integrated into the “Belt and Road” construction for enterprises. While providing strong support, it also contributes more to serving and promoting the economic and trade development of Guangxi and ASEAN.
