In this year's general election, President Trump won overwhelming victories in 18 "weathervane counties", which is believed to be a signal of Trump's entry into the White House. It is reported that in the past nearly 40 years, there has been an intriguing phenomenon in the US presidential election, that is, these "weathervane counties" voted for the winner.
According to The Epoch Times and The Wall Street Journal, a total of 19 counties in the United States are called Bellwether Counties (weathervane counties, also known as Leader Counties). Since President Ronald Reagan, by observing the voting records of these counties, one can predict who will be in the White House.
In the 2020 general election, President Trump defeated Biden in 18 counties with an overwhelming advantage of about 16 percentage points on average. Only Clalam County in Washington State chose Biden, but the gap between the two sides was only about 3 percentage points.
According to the report, most of these weathervane counties are small counties and rural areas, and only two counties have a population of over 100,000. These counties are often concentrated in the Midwest and Northeast, and only 4 counties do not belong to these areas. The reason why these "weathervane counties" are regarded as capable of predicting winners is because voters in these areas are willing to change party preferences between the two general elections.
An August paper by researchers from the University of Denver and the University of New Hampshire showed that the 19 weathervane counties mentioned above are generally poorer than the rest of the United States, with a higher proportion of Whites, a more pronounced aging population and a lower education level.
Both Hidalgo and Valencia counties in New Mexico have close to 60% of the Hispanic population. Almost a third of the residents of Westmoreland County in Virginia are of African descent. Sawyer County, Wisconsin, and Clalam County, Washington, have "large numbers of Native Americans."
There is also a list of weathervane counties, consisting of 58 counties, which have correctly predicted every president since 2000. This year President Trump won 51 counties with an average advantage of nearly 15 percentage points. In several other counties, the difference between Trump and Biden is only 4%.
Vigo County in Indiana is also a weathervane county with a long history. This year, the county supported Trump with a nearly 15% advantage, which is roughly the same as in 2016.
Due to the fraud in the general election in the Biden camp, the Trump campaign team is launching legal proceedings to challenge the election results in multiple states, accusing these states of a large number of election fraud, illegal voting, restricting Republican scrutineers and so on. Currently, Georgia is recounting votes.
On November 14, Trump supporters from all states across the United States gathered in Washington DC to protest against the fraudulent use of Trump’s votes by the Biden camp and call on the Supreme Court to maintain the fairness of the election.
Trump left the same message on Twitter and Facebook on November 16 two hours ago:
