Visit Tomb Complex of Emperor Zhou Wen

Report by : Gan Yung Chyan, KUCINTA SETIA

Zhou Wen Wang (King Wen of Zhou Dynasty / Emperor Zhou Wen) was born in 1112 BC and passed away in 1050 BC in Xianyang, Xi'an. The tomb and pavilion of the cultured king is located in a complex near the airport, i.e. a tomb complex.

The tomb and pavilion of Zhou Wen Wang are part of a historical and cultural complex devoted to him. There is a manuscript library (see below) in the complex consisting of odes to the king's legacy from the Classics of Shijing in praise of the king and books on the king's history and family tree. Today, the library is an office of Xianyang Literary Institution.
