Yan Limeng tweeted paper on the unusual origin of SARS-CoV-2

Yan Limeng, a Chinese virology expert exiled in the United States, opened a Twitter account on 14 September 2020 and tweeted her team's first study on SARS-CoV-2 (covi, in short, novel coronavirus, CCP virus) on Twitter that night. The study is the first scientific research report on SARS-CoV-2 that she had co-authored with three other scientists. According to this report, a series of scientific research evidences show that the argument that the SARS-CoV-2 virus originated from nature is very contradictory, but it is more in line with the characteristics of artificial manufacture. After this paper was published, it was soon retweeted by 135,000 people.
The 26-page scientific research report released by Yan Limeng involves the genome, structure, medical and related literature evidence of SARS-CoV-2.
The report (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa6VNhZZ4_8) stated that even though the natural source of SARS-CoV-2 is widely accepted, it has always lacked actual evidence to support it. Their research team conducted independent investigations in a number of related research laboratories, and also studied data provided in papers published by peers in scientific journals, and found that although SARS-CoV-2 has biological characteristics, it is of animal origin. Viruses are not inconsistent with naturally occurring viruses. A series of evidences such as virus genes and structures all show a strong conflict with the argument that viruses originate from nature.
According to the report, the existing scientific evidence shows that this virus is more likely to be a "laboratory product" created using bat coronaviruses ZC45 and ZXC21 as templates. The similarity of its gene sequence is as high as 95%, and the Wuhan virus laboratory also has the ability to complete related projects in about 6 months.
The report mentioned that the covi S protein contains a unique furin cleavage site that can be inserted into the genome by artificial means. The covi genome of SARS-CoV-2 shows that this virus is most likely to be a product of the gene operation.
The report explains the following four aspects: Firstly, the ZC45 and ZXC21 viruses come from Chinese military laboratories. Secondly, through the study of genome sequences, the viruses may be genetically engineered to enhance their toxicity and infectivity, and can accurately infect humans. Thirdly, the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 and the symptoms caused by it are unprecedented. Fourthly, the virus caused a global pandemic after the outbreak in Wuhan, causing thousands of people to lose their lives and brought huge economic losses, with unparalleled destructive power.
Expert: Yan Limeng's team report is a significant hypothesis
Former U.S. Army virus expert Dr. Sean Lin said that this report prepared by Yan Limeng and others is the first time that a scientific team has systematically questioned the source of the CCP virus and proposed a more complete and significant hypothesis. Laboratory methods and methods to complete the laboratory manufacturing of SARS-CoV-2 are undoubtedly a blockbuster.
Sean said that although the report itself showed that the team did not carry out any experiment directly to support the hypothesis of the artificial virus pathway proposed by it, from the perspective of molecular virology, the experimental methods and techniques they proposed are very feasible. . 1. The Chinese military has been experimenting with gain-of-functions on the virus. These tests may be for virus research or vaccine development but they may also be for the development of biological weapons. In any case, this poses a great danger to the Chinese people and the international community.
2. The CCP has always concealed the early covid outbreak in Wuhan and prevented the international community from conducting independent investigations. The international community has been unable to confirm whether the outbreak was of animal origin or laboratory origin. 3. Now that the CCP already has a virus like SARS-CoV-2, they can use this virus and its variants as biological and chemical weapons for further development. The international community should fully realize this danger.

Yan Limeng: Call for tracing the source of funds of Wuhan Institute of Virology

Yan Limeng's report on Twitter on 14 September 2020 also calls on the U.S. government to trace the funds flow between the Wuhan P4 laboratory and the US National Institute of Health (NIH).
The report discloses that Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) has been engaged in coronavirus surveillance research for at least more than ten years and has the world’s largest number of coronavirus samples. Its Infectious Disease Department Director Shi Zhengli has cooperated with Minnesota University researcher Li Fang for many years.
Yan Limeng also called for the whole world to conduct in-depth investigations of the Wuhan P4 laboratory and its collaborators, including the flow of aid funds provided by NIH to WIV.
According to public information, in 2015 during Obama’s presidency, the National Institute of Health approved the disbursement of US$3.7 million in scientific research funding to the non-profit organization EcoHealth Alliance, and this organization cooperated with WIV in a partnership. In the past few years, part of the US$3.7 million in funding provided by the US government went to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which was used to fund research on the coronavirus.
During the pandemic, the Ecological Health Alliance issued a statement, acknowledging that the organization has cooperated with scientific research institutions in more than 25 countries in the past 20 years to study the sources of new coronaviruses similar to covid, including WIV but emphasized the after the epidemic outbreak in Wuhan, the organization did not continue to fund WIV this year.
In late April this year, NIH notified the Eco-Health Alliance that it would stop distributing the remaining funds of approximately US$370,000 this year.
According to a report by the Washington Post, after a US State Department official visited the Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2018, he issued a warning to relevant US agencies in a diplomatic cable that WIV had security risks and management defects. It cannot be regarded as a high-level biosafety laboratory for safe operation.
