The world-renowned American "Time" magazine announced on 23 September 2020 the editor's selection of the 100 most influential people in 2020, and the chairman of the Hong Kong Zhongzhi Creative Party Nathan Law is on the list and included in the "Pioneer" column. Former Hong Kong Governor Chris Patten wrote a profile for him, saying that he is one of the young generations of brave leaders defending Hong Kong's democracy and freedom.

According to Taiwan’s Liberty Times, the last British governor in Hong Kong, Chris Patten, wrote a profile for Luo Guancong, referring to Luo Guancong as one of the leaders of the current young generation in Hong Kong who opposes Beijing’s destruction of Hong Kong’s rule of law and freedom. . Like his comrade-in-arms Joshua Wong, he followed in the footsteps of democratic elder Martin Lee, lawyer Wu Aiyi, media person Li Zhiying, Catholic Church cardinal Chen Rijun and others, willing to sacrifice personal freedom to defend the democratic rights of Hong Kong people. Patten called on the public to continue to speak out for those who are fighting for freedom in Hong Kong, such as Nathan Law.

In this regard, Nathan Law expressed his gratitude to Governor Patten for writing an introduction for him. He also said that his name appeared on this year's list after being ranked first in the readers' vote. It is indeed hard to imagine.

Nathan pointed out that he has been in the student movement, elected as a parliamentarian, imprisoned, and exiled, but only 6 years. The embarrassment suffered is not comparable to the siblings who are still in prison, or the 12 people who have not seen the sun in mainland China (12 sent to Hong Kong and China). For him personally, being on the list may be an excessive reputation, but as an affirmation of the Hong Kong democratic movement, it is appropriate. The struggle in Hong Kong reversed the world’s delusion towards the Chinese Communist Party, and used contagious actions and images to turn into a benchmark for protecting freedom, reminding everyone that the democratic freedom that everyone enjoys does not fall from the sky, but depends on everyone’s vigilance and joint defense. No one has imagined that the leverage of Hong Kong's resistance is so huge that it threatens the survival of the entire totalitarian empire."

Nathan said that as a political figure in a great journey, no matter how many praises he receives, his ultimate goal is to fight for public welfare and democracy for the community, so that more people can enjoy the dignity of being a person, so like Tsai Ing-wen the President said, "Be humble, humble, and then humble." He even said, "All the crowns imposed on the outside are not more important than the cheering of Hong Kong people."

Nathan also thanked his friends who have supported him all the way. Whenever he sees everyone’s encouragement and affirmation in the posts, a lot of self-questioning and confusion are drifting away with the wind, and they become the backing for him to overcome every day he must be alert to the CCP’s deterrence and pressure.

He also said that being expelled from the Legislative Council in the past was a low ebb in his political life, which made him think that he could no longer overcome difficulties, but in reality, it takes setbacks to make a person stronger. Although "behind the laurel crown, there are all scars. I will always be contrary to the other top 100 people who wear gold and silver and fame and gain. I can only lead a wandering and restless life." But "at least I have no regrets. I am infinitely close to the meaning of life."

He also pointed out that influence can be both good and bad. Tyrants such as Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un are also frequent visitors of the top 100 most influential people. However, their damage to human rights and freedom is self-evident. They remind everyone of the value of freedom.

According to the "Time" magazine's list of the 100 most influential people, American rapper Megan Thee Stallion was also included in the "Pioneer" column. This year, Giannis Antetokounmpo, a star who was just selected as the NBA's Most Valuable Player of the Year and the nickname "Brother Antetokounmpo", and Shiori Ito, a Japanese freelance journalist and video writer, have just been selected.

The Leaders category includes President Trump of the United States, President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan, Prime Minister Modi of India, and President Xi Jinping of the Chinese Communist Party.
