Local citizens suspect that the authorities are concealing the epidemic, because there were only two confirmed cases at that time, so why do they need such a big shelter hospital? In addition, on the night of the lockdown, Dali Prefecture transferred more than 200 medical staff to Ruili overnight.

Two or three days ago, after the city was closed, the price of pork has increased. They are all sold for 80 RMB a catty, and the price of vegetables has also increased by several RMB a catty."

Ruili is a border city and China's emerald trading center. Vegetables and meat are mostly imported from other places. Therefore, after the closure of the city, all the people in the city rushed to collect food. Villagers in Ruili said that in addition to the city, Ruili also locked down villages.

Mr. Lin, a villager in Ruili, said, "The village is now closed. I can't get out of the stockade. It's very serious. It's okay for these two days. No one knows after a long time. The vegetables are seven or eight RMB, a dozen RMB or both."

The citizens also said that public places in the city are basically closed, only large supermarkets are open, and nucleic acid testing is still going on throughout the city. All access to Ruili has been blocked.
