Mongolia aims to achieve sustainable development by 2030
The Government of Mongolia and the United Nations jointly convened a National Dialogue on Food Systems in Mongolia on 8 July 2021. Bringing together key players in the food systems in Mongolia, the Dialogue facilitated an open discussion on what it takes for Mongolia to sustainably transform its food systems that will accelerate a progress towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Evidence, ideas, and commitments gained at the National Food Systems Dialogue in Mongolia will not only contribute to the Global Food Systems Summit to be convened by the UN Secretary-General in September 2021, but, most importantly, they will help Mongolia itself to unleash new actions and innovative solutions and strategies to rebuild the national food systems and leverage the shifts to deliver progress across all Sustainable Development Goals.
H.E Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, sincerely thanked the participants of the National Dialogue on Sustainable Food Systems in Mongolia and stated: “Issues related to the food and health systems need to be addressed comprehensively. Creating sustainable food systems will not only improve human development and quality of life, but also make a significant contribution to the country's sustainable social and economic development. Having established sustainable food systems, Mongolia will achieve its goal of becoming a food exporter. In addition to mining, Mongolia has identified agriculture, tourism, energy, transportation and logistics as priority sectors. Therefore, the multi-stakeholder participation, including private sector and civil society organizations, and cross-sectoral collaborations are crucial. The government will provide all the necessary support to promote such engagement and cooperation.”
“Mongolia has a significant potential to transition to sustainable food systems, that is already underway,” said UN Resident Coordinator Tapan Mishra at the Dialogue.
“This would require technological innovation, strategic use of economic incentives, cohesive and participatory governance, and behavioural changes. Most importantly, these reforms must contribute to resilient livelihoods and healthy and nutritious diets of all Mongolian.”
If Mongolia is to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, its food systems must change.
“We need to rapidly rethink how we produce, process, market and consume our food, and dispose our waste. We should turn the COVID-19 crisis into the opportunity to rebalance and transform the food systems in Mongolia making them more inclusive, sustainable and resilient,” said FAO Representative in Mongolia Vinod Ahuja.
Leading up to this National dialogue, the food sector experts, stakeholders, domestic and international organizations, partners have convened total of 11 dialogues involving regional, municipal, private sector, independent farmers cooperatives, youth and civil society dialogues to hear their voices and concerns of all parties in the transformation of food systems.
These Food Systems Dialogues gave Mongolia an opportunity to address the current state of the food systems in the country, including challenges and opportunities and agree on actions and solutions to build a sustainable food systems in the next 10 years and what can be done in the next 3-5 years.
The National Dialogue, therefore, discussed the following key thematic areas in the food systems:
- access to safe and nutritious food and promotion of sustainable consumption
- advance equitable livelihoods and value distribution
- boost nature-positive production and build resilience to vulnerabilities, shocks and stress.
Consolidated outcomes and policy recommendations from the pre-dialogue discussions by the experts and key players were presented to the high-level dialogue among the policy and decision makers to stimulate further discussion for appropriate actions and solutions on the second day of the event.
The final outcomes of the National Dialogue on Food Systems will be presented to the UN Food Systems Summit in September by the Government of Mongolia.

Biden continues Trump's executive order and declares a state of emergency in response to the situation in Hong Kong
Since the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law for more than a year, the dark clouds in Hong Kong have been overwhelming, and the spread of red terror has accelerated. On 7 July, the White House issued an announcement stating that in view of Beijing’s actions against Hong Kong continuing to pose a threat to the United States, President Biden decided to extend the national emergency declared by President Trump on the situation in Hong Kong for one year.
Biden said in this White House announcement that the former President Trump passed Executive Order No. 13936 to extend the state of emergency declared by the Hong Kong situation for one year in accordance with the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
The announcement stated: “The situation in Hong Kong, including the recent actions taken by the People’s Republic of China to fundamentally undermine Hong Kong’s autonomy, continues to pose an unusual and special threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. Therefore, July 14, 2020 The state of emergency declared on July 14 must last until July 14, 2021."
This announcement will be published in the "Federal Register" and submitted to Congress.

Trump issued an executive order
Beijing passed the "Hong Kong National Security Law" on 30 June 2020 and implemented the "Hong Kong National Security Law" the next day. The CCP believes that acts of subversion, secession, collusion with foreign forces, and terrorism will all be punished, with a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. The law was introduced in response to the large-scale protests in Hong Kong in 2019 and to strengthen the suppression of the opposition.
On 14 July of the same year, the then-U.S. President Trump signed into law the "Hong Kong Autonomy Law" passed by both houses of Congress and issued an executive order requiring the CCP to be held accountable for actions that suppress the people of Hong Kong.
This executive order determined that the actions taken by the CCP fundamentally undermined Hong Kong’s autonomy and constituted an “abnormal and special threat” to the national security, foreign policy and economy of the United States. U.S. laws give Hong Kong special and preferential treatment.

Hong Kong is in a human rights crisis
For more than a year since Beijing implemented the "Hong Kong National Security Law" in Hong Kong, it has banned a series of political activities and severely suppressed protests and demonstrations. Many democratic politicians and social activists, including Huang Zhifeng and Li Zhiying who criticized Beijing, have been imprisoned by the Hong Kong government.
In March of this year, the CCP passed a decision to amend Hong Kong’s electoral system to further suppress liberal and democratic activists in Hong Kong. Recently, Hong Kong's "Apple Daily" was also forced to suspend publication. The Hong Kong police continue to arrest and sentence democrats.
According to statistics, in the first year of the implementation of the Security Law, more than 100 people were arrested and more than 60 people were prosecuted.
Since Hong Kong implemented the National Security Law for more than a year, under the red terror, about 110,000 Hong Kong people have immigrated overseas or left their hometowns.

National Security Law is used as a false excuse to curb dissent
On 30 June, Amnesty International issued a 47-page report stating that the Hong Kong authorities used the National Security Law to target different opinions and tried to defend the "review, harassment, arrest and prosecution of human rights violations." The Port Security Law is used as a false excuse to curb dissent." Basic rights are subject to systemic restrictions in Hong Kong.
Yamini Mishra, Regional Director of Amnesty International’s Asia-Pacific Region, said: “Within one year, Hong Kong’s National Security Law quickly put Hong Kong on the road of a police state and created a human rights emergency for the people living there.”
Mishra said that this law “has infected every corner of Hong Kong society and has incited an atmosphere of fear, forcing residents to think twice about what they say, the tweets they send, and their way of life. In the end, this comprehensive and repressive legislation may turn Hong Kong into a human rights wasteland that increasingly resembles China."
Amnesty International called on the authorities to drop all charges against those who exercised human rights and called on the UN Human Rights Council to arrange an urgent debate on the human rights situation in China and Hong Kong.

Rescue covid sudden deaths due to happy hypoxia! National Taiwan University and Taiwan Microsoft developed the "Real-time Blood Oxygen Monitoring Platform" to provide zero contact with medical care and accurate control of the condition
Covid has caused frequent deaths of patients with happy hypoxia. National Taiwan University Hospital and Taiwan’s Microsoft announced that they will jointly develop a “blood oxygen system real-time monitoring platform”. Through zero-contact diagnosis and treatment, medical staff can instantly monitor the physiological changes of isolated patients, accurately grasp the condition of the disease, reduce the risk of sudden death, and greatly reduce medical infection risk.

Blood oxygen real-time monitoring platform Real-time medical diagnosis, reducing sudden death
The "Real-time Blood Oxygen System Monitoring Platform" was jointly developed by the National Taiwan University Hospital Smart Medical Center in collaboration with Taiwan's Microsoft, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, and Tabor Technology to accurately control the condition of the disease and reduce the risk of sudden patient death. It also combines a mixed reality head-mounted device. Create a "hybrid reality ward" to transmit images through the Internet, allowing remote doctors to receive the real picture of the ward, and at the same time help to improve the shortage of front-line medical staff during the epidemic.
Li Jianzhang, deputy director of the Smart Medical Center of National Taiwan University Hospital, pointed out that according to the literature, among patients with mild or moderate COVID-19, there are 3 causes of happy hypoxia, and the condition may deteriorate rapidly in a short period of time. In the face of highly contagious viruses, traditional inpatient condition monitoring relies on medical staff to manually measure vital signs on a regular basis. Frequent contact inevitably increases the risk of infection. Wearing and taking off personal protective equipment such as protective clothing also creates a huge burden for nursing work.
Li Jianzhang explained that the "real-time monitoring platform for blood oxygen system" combined with artificial intelligence IoT technology monitors the patient's vital signs through devices such as forehead thermometers, blood oximeters, blood pressure machines, etc. Once the blood oxygen concentration is detected to be lower than 95% of the normal value, the system can immediately issue early warnings and notify medical care interventions.
The "Spo2 Real-time Monitoring Platform" is also equipped with a mixed reality diagnosis and treatment method. Through the mixed reality headset, the nursing staff can send the environmental images seen by the line of sight back to the remote end. The mixed reality diagnosis and treatment method allows the remote physicians do not need to enter the ward to contact patients, but they can also see the same and three-dimensional live images, and provide immediate medical diagnosis, reducing the chance of more medical staff being exposed to the virus.
Li Jianzhang added that once there is a change in the condition of a patient with covid and a joint expert consultation is required, remote collaboration can be used to allow teams of doctors from different specialties to join the diagnosis, which will greatly improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment under the epidemic.

Taoyuan Hospital is the first to use it and will promote to all hospitals in Taiwan in the future
The "Spo2 Real-time Monitoring Platform" took the lead in cooperating with the Taoyuan City Government and Taoyuan Hospital. It has been stationed in the centralized quarantine station and micro-negative pressure isolation ward of the hospital this week, helping medical staff to monitor the physiological changes of isolated patients in real time. Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wencan said that it is a great honor to use Peach as a starting point for the project. He hopes to expand its application in the future and extend it to hospitals and quarantine stations in more counties and cities across Taiwan to fight the epidemic together. He also hopes that the day of successful anti-epidemic will come soon.

Three-level extended micro-unblocking guidelines are released! Taiwanese cinemas, gyms are open, and domestic tour groups are limited to 9 people
Reporter : Yang Zhizhong / Translation, editing : Gan Yung Chyan, KUCINTA SETIA
The Executive Yuan confirmed that the national three-level alert will be extended from 12 July to 26 July but some controls will be loosened. The outdoor parts, national parks, national scenic areas, amusement park areas, outdoor farms, and even driving training classes, are conditionally loosened, but governments at all levels have to make appropriate adjustments depending on the need for epidemic prevention. In addition, indoor parts, art galleries, museums, cinemas, performance venues without audiences, social education halls, science museums and cultural centers have also been allowed to reopen.
In addition to the sports venues and swimming pools, the gym follow-up field can be opened. Dining venues, including restaurants, night markets, food courts, food districts, etc., can be used internally as long as they comply with the guidelines.
Domestic small tour groups are planned to have less than 9 people, and crew shooting is also open. The central government also announced that masks must be worn throughout the entire trip, and social gatherings with more than five people indoors and more than 10 people outdoors are not allowed (excluding those who live together).
As for KTV and other leisure and entertainment venues, they are still closed. There are also many education industries such as cram schools and kindergartens that parents care about. Since the three-level alert has been maintained, the methods have continued to be controlled. Stores and supermarkets have strengthened crowd control, marriages are not banquets, funerals, funerals, and religious gatherings continue to be suspended.
As for exhibitions, large-scale conferences, and group dinners, they are still not open. Business premises and public agencies must wear masks to maintain social distancing. Workplaces and workplaces must comply with corporate operating guidelines. Finally, strengthen the implementation of market and various industry epidemic prevention management response measures.

China's vaccine efficacy is questionable, Singapore does not include it in vaccination data
Singapore's health agency stated that it will not include the Sinovac CoronaVac that have been given to people in the statistics of national vaccination against covid.
This means that even if you have taken CoronaVac, you still need to hold a negative test certificate when you want to participate in certain activities or enter certain public places in Singapore, but those who participate in the Singapore National Immunization Program can be exempted from holding the certificate.
“The number of people vaccinated in the country only reflects those who have been vaccinated under the national vaccination plan,” the Ministry of Health of Singapore stated on Tuesday (6 July). “At present, this only includes those who have been vaccinated with Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine/Comirnaty."
Singaporean health officials said there are insufficient data on the efficacy of Sinovac's CoronaVac, especially for the Delta variant. Since the cluster infection was detected at the airport in May, the Delta variant has become the main strain of the virus in Singapore.
Health Minister Ong Ye Kung told reporters on Wednesday, "We currently have no real medical or scientific basis, nor data to determine the effectiveness of the Sinovac vaccine against infections and severe illnesses of the Delta variant."
After obtaining emergency approval from the World Health Organization (WHO), Singapore began to allow private clinics to vaccinate KXV from mid-June. As of July 3, about 17,000 people have received one dose, and there are currently about 200,000 doses in stock.
Singapore Medical Services Director Kenneth Mak said that evidence from other countries shows that people who have been vaccinated with CoronaVac are still infected, posing a huge risk.
The authorities stated that people who have received CoronaVac abroad are eligible to receive the Comirnaty in Singapore but the government cannot guarantee the safety of the mixed vaccine.
"We did not stop them, although there is still a lack of data to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of two different vaccines, which we call a heterologous vaccination strategy," McGover said.
"Those who are eligible to be vaccinated through the national vaccination program, we will allow them to vaccinate, but we will tell them if they have received other vaccines before, the effect is not yet proven." He added.
The Epoch Times has contacted the Ministry of Health of Singapore, hoping to get more comments.
In April of this year, Gao Fu, director of the China CDC, rarely admitted that some Chinese vaccines "have not been very protective."
In fact, the effectiveness of CCP vaccines has aroused more and more doubts internationally. Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi took Chile as an example at the end of June and publicly questioned China's insufficient vaccine protection. Indonesia also reported that at least 10 doctors died after receiving two doses of CoronaVac, which is even more worrying for all countries.
Recently, the Ministry of Health of Thailand issued a document in which an official hinted at the meeting that “the protection of CoronaVac is insufficient”.
According to this document, Thailand will receive 1.5 million doses of Pfizer vaccine one after another, and there is a proposal to "allow people who had previously been vaccinated with Kexing vaccine to receive a third dose of vaccine" to increase protection. However, some officials objected, which is tantamount to admitting that "Kexing vaccine is not effective." The news was exposed and caused an uproar in Thai society.
Subsequently, this document was confirmed by Thailand's Minister of Health Anutin Charnvirakul and emphasized that it was only the personal opinion of the official.
After the document was exposed, the Thai cabinet agreed to purchase 20 million doses of Pfizer vaccine as a publicly funded vaccine, and opened the 700,000 medical personnel who have been fully vaccinated with CoronaVac to receive other vaccines as the third dose.

Xi Jinping's party conference makes the voice of "Party Death"
The first after-effect occurred yesterday.
Last night, the CCP hosted the "CPC and World Political Party Leaders Summit" in Beijing through online video, which was also the first home diplomatic event after the CCP's centennial anniversary.
This so-called "party leaders summit" started in 2017. It was when Xi Jinping reached the peak of power, the CCP paid for it and instructed the International Department of the Central Committee to invite and organize such a party conference.
At the beginning of this play, the CCP dreamed of creating a flourishing scene of "all nations coming to China". At the very least, it would have to come to a gathering like a "League of Lords" to live the addiction of being the leader of the league. But in fact, the CCP doesn’t have that appealing power. It can’t invite so many important princes, so it had to organize a political party conference to masturbate and invite a large number of parties who don’t know which corner of the ring to come. It’s a copycat version of "World of Nations." Come to China to have a dry addiction.
Last year’s party conference was held in September. This year, because of the need to catch up with the July 1st schedule to create an atmosphere, this year’s party conference was deliberately advanced to be held immediately after July 1, in order to give the CCP a little more face: a hundred years Immediately after that, party leaders from all over the world showed up to join in—probably just playing with this kind of caution.
Xi Jinping’s speech at this meeting was nothing new, except for continuing to attack how the US hegemony without naming names, it was to repeat the CCP’s idea of building a new international order and realizing a community with a shared future. But reading the manuscript with just such a cliche, there are also errors.
Many friends may have seen the report, saying that when Xi Jinping was almost finished reading the manuscript, he suddenly repeated a few sentences that he had read before, then looked down the manuscript several times and asked in a low voice, "Am I finished?" ? After the person next to him whispered "it's finished", he helped him find the ending paragraph before continuing to make the conclusion.
This is of course only a small episode, but it is very interesting. When the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Puyi, was only 3 years old when he became a throne, he was crying at the enthronement ceremony. His father, the regent, Zaifeng, coaxed him when he was anxious and said, "Don't cry, don't cry, it's almost over." As a result, he became a confession, Da Qing. After 4 years, he officially withdrew from the stage of history. This period of history is clearly written in Pu Yi's autobiography "My First Half of My Life", and it has become a widely circulated classic.
Of course, we don’t know how Xi Jinping made this ominous remark on this occasion. He thought that the grand blueprint he described would continue, but the people next to him had to remind him that it was over.
For such a strange scene, ordinary people may not take it seriously, but for the CCP, which has always attached great importance to all kinds of signs, I am afraid that it is not so easy to let go.
This episode actually reflects the state of Xi Jinping from another aspect. He sat in front of the camera and read a manuscript with more than 3,000 words. He was confused about which passage he read. It only showed that he was absent-minded. The "Ten Thousand Parties Coming to North Korea" conference did not really take it that seriously.

Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister publicly declares to defend Taiwan
Another after-effect of Xi Jinping’s party celebration speech is related to Japan. This effect triggered a diplomatic turmoil between China and Japan, which once again caused a major drop in Sino-Japanese relations and made the situation in the Taiwan Strait more complicated.
On 5 July, Japanese Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso publicly stated at the assembly of the Liberal Democratic Party members of the House of Representatives, “It is not surprising that if a major problem occurs in (Taiwan), it may trigger a crisis of survival (Japan). Therefore, the United States and Japan should jointly defend Taiwan."
The "survival crisis" mentioned by Aso here means that other countries closely related to Japan have been attacked by force, thereby forming "a dangerous state that threatens the survival of the Japanese nation and clearly fundamentally subverts people's lives and rights."
This passage of Aso caused an uproar, because it has two main points: 1. This is the first time a Japanese leader has expressed its position on the Taiwan issue after Xi Jinping made a strong suggestion of using force against Taiwan in his July 1 speech, and his attitude was clear. This means that Japan has further clarified the Taiwan Strait issue, and it also means that Japan's understanding of the one-China policy may have undergone a major change.
2. Aso defines the Taiwan Strait issue as a "survival crisis", and this situation is one of the conditions for the Japanese Self-Defense Force to exercise the right of collective self-defense. Therefore, Aso is tantamount to clearly telling the CCP that if there is a major event in the Taiwan Strait, Japan will use force with the United States.
This is of course not a trivial matter. We have discussed in the past that once Japan materially intervenes in the Taiwan Strait, the traditional tripartite relationship between the United States, China and Taiwan will become a four-party relationship between the United States, China, Japan and Taiwan. Maybe there will be a fifth party, a sixth party, and even more parties. Coming in, this is absolutely unwilling for the CCP to see.
Secondly, with Japan’s economic and technological strength, once its military potential is gradually loosened due to the Taiwan Strait issue, this is equivalent to the appearance of a strong opponent of the CCP in the east. Jin Canrong triumphantly uses the Diaoyu Islands to contain Japan’s so-called "surround Wei and save Zhao" plan. , It will become ignited and self-defeating. This is also what the CCP never wants to see.
Therefore, as soon as Aso's speech came out, the CCP's reaction was so intense that it was conceivable. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Chinese Communist Party's ambassador to Japan have all issued strong statements, especially the response of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ambassador to Japan has been more intense.
Zhao Lijian of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that Aso's speech was extremely dangerous and seriously violated the principles of the four political documents between China and Japan. China firmly opposed and strongly protested. At the same time, it revisited Japan's crimes of aggression against China, claiming that Japan was obsessed with colonizing Taiwan, and so on. Finally, he also quoted the quotations from Xi Jinping's July 1 speech to warn Japan not to underestimate the "powerful capabilities" of the CCP.
The official social account of the Chinese Embassy in Japan also released news yesterday, roughly repeating Zhao Lijian’s official remarks, and then also quoting Xi Jinping’s July 1 speech. In addition to showing off the CCP’s “powerful capabilities”, it also further listed Xi Jinping’s “head breaks”. "Blood flow" the sentence.
Therefore, Taro Aso became the first person to directly threaten the CCP with "head-breaking blood."

Related to Aso's speech? CCP cancels military exercises
Of course, Aso is only the Deputy Prime Minister, and he only spoke in a speech. It cannot be said that this represents the official position of the Japanese government. But after all, he discussed such a sensitive topic in that position, I think it was beyond the CCP's expectation. In other words, the high-level CCP did not expect Japan's position on the Taiwan Strait issue to become clear so quickly.
From the standpoint of Japan, Deputy Prime Minister Aso's speech is equivalent to a limit test of the CCP.
The result of this test is that the CCP has chosen a temporary contraction.
On the same day as Aso’s speech, Wang Yang, Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party Committee, also mentioned the Taiwan issue in his speech at the "Symposium for People from All walks of Life to Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" in Beijing. He said this: "To develop and grow, love the country, love Hong Kong, A patriotic and Australia-loving force, uniting compatriots in Taiwan to jointly advance the process of peaceful reunification of the motherland."
This wording and tone are obviously very different from Xi Jinping's "powerful ability" in his speech. This does not necessarily mean that Wang Yang dares to openly differ from Xi Jinping, and it is common for the CCP to sing red and black faces and play with both hands. But this at least shows that the CCP still does not want to blindly show a tough line on the Taiwan Strait issue, especially when the Taiwan Strait issue is increasingly internationalized.
Some friends may have noticed a related news. The Maritime Safety Administration of the Communist Party of China issued the title "Navigational Warning about the Rocket Wreckage Falling Area in the Port Area" on July 5, saying that it may affect the safety of navigation and prohibiting ships on the 9th. Drive into the area.
Yesterday at 10 am on July 6th, the Maritime Safety Administration continued to issue the title "Navigation Warning Regarding Major Military Activities in the Central Yellow Sea." During the period from 8 a.m. on the 9th to 6 p.m. on the 13th, ships were prohibited from entering the relevant area.
But what is very strange is that only 6 hours later, the CCP Maritime Safety Administration issued a "Revocation of Navigational Warning" at about 4 in the afternoon, announcing the cancellation of the above-mentioned "Navigational Warning for Major Military Activities in the Central Yellow Sea", and hope that all ships will pay attention to it. .
You know, after the CCP issued a warning about military exercises in the Yellow Sea, the pink group in mainland China was very excited for a time, and they all cheered and said that it was an exercise how to eliminate Little Japan. In other words, everyone can see that the spearhead of the CCP’s Yellow Sea exercise is aimed at Japan.
But just after Deputy Prime Minister Aso delivered a speech to defend Taiwan, the exercise plan was quickly cancelled. What does this mean?
On the surface, it seems that the CCP has shrunk back in a low-key manner, because we are almost certain that this military exercise in the Yellow Sea was planned before July 1st. This is the same as the political party conference, which is to show the atmosphere and show Xi Jinping’s office. Said part of the "powerful ability".
However, Aso’s speech may make the CCP’s senior leaders realize that if the military exercise continues at this extremely sensitive point in time, it is likely that Japan will be regarded as responding to Aso with military threats. This is tantamount to proving Aso’s speech on the CCP’s threat. It's like handing a knife to Aso Taro.
In other words, the CCP does not want to give Japan an immediate reason for strengthening its military power. Strengthening the CCP’s threat to Japan is not good for the CCP. In turn, it is good for the elections that Japan’s current Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga is about to participate in.
We all know that Yoshihide Suga took over from Abe, who resigned halfway, and his term of office will only last until September this year. As the current opposition parties in Japan are too weak, there is almost no suspense that the Liberal Democratic Party won the House of Representatives election to maintain its ruling position. Therefore, the result of the Liberal Democratic Party’s presidential election will actually determine the prime minister. Yoshihide Suga's foundation in the party is not strong, and it is not easy to re-elect the position of president and even prime minister of the Liberal Democratic Party.
In this context, the CCP does not want to use excessively targeted force to intimidate Yoshihide Suga's approval rate, because everyone knows that the CCP's force intimidation is basically a reverse booster for elections in democratic countries. , From Taiwan to the United States.
Therefore, the CCP avoided the sensitive point of Deputy Prime Minister Aso's speech and rescheduled military exercises. On the one hand, there are reasons why it does not want to stimulate the current rapid deterioration of Sino-Japanese relations. On the other hand, it is actually staring at Japan's September elections.

Anti-CCP pressure, Russia's subtle actions intervene in the South China Sea
The geopolitical balance around the CCP is changing, and it is not only reflected in Japan in the east. In fact, in Russia to the northwest of the CCP, as well as the "distant diplomatic" part of the "distant diplomatic" part of the "distant diplomatic close attack" that Xi Jinping attaches great importance to, video calls with the heads of France and Germany all reflect the deterioration of the CCP's situation.
Let's talk about Russia first. We all know that after the summit between Biden and Putin, Sino-Russian relations have been the focus of close attention of all countries. Although Putin expressed his congratulations on Xi Jinping’s party celebration ceremony in his own name, another Russian move is more substantive to us in judging the true background of Sino-Russian relations.
Russian Prime Minister Mishuskin signed an order on 10 June to nominate former French Prime Minister Fillon to be the director of Russia’s “Overseas Oil Company”. The appointment was confirmed at the end of June, and Fillon has now officially appeared on the company's official website.
This action is not eye-catching, but it has a lot of meaning. What does it show?
First of all, "Overseas Petroleum Company" is a state-owned energy giant 100% controlled by the Russian government, and Fillon is currently the only foreign director. Most of the other directors are concurrently held by senior deputy ministerial officials from Russia's finance and energy sectors.
Secondly, it is not uncommon for Russia to pay high salaries to invite some retired politicians from Europe to join the boards of large Russian companies. However, the case of Fillon joining this time is different from all other retired politicians because the main business of the "overseas oil company" is different. Concentrated in the highly sensitive area of the South China Sea.
Moreover, because Russia is tens of thousands of miles away from the South China Sea and cannot directly intervene in the oil and gas exploration business there, the "overseas oil company" actually obtains a lot of benefits by working closely with Vietnam and helping Vietnam to extract oil.
The "Overseas Petroleum Company" entered Vietnam as early as 1981 and formed a joint venture with Vietnam. The oil produced by this joint venture currently accounts for one third of the country's oil production.
The sensitivity of this question lies in the fact that some of the oil and gas fields owned by the company happen to be within the nine-dash line delineated by the Chinese Communist Party, and Russia has never publicly supported the Chinese Communist Party’s nine-dash line sovereignty position. On the contrary, Russia has publicly supported it since 2016. ASEAN’s position on the South China Sea agrees to guarantee freedom of navigation in the South China Sea, advocates the settlement of disputes by peaceful means, and so on.
Therefore, under this background, Fillon became the only foreign director of the "overseas oil company", which means that European political and business forces have joined, which undoubtedly came from the pressure of the CCP in the South China Sea. This is what we have said. Russia stepped on the balance to make a profit on both sides, while the CCP could only choose to ignore it and remain silent.

Unfreezing the China-EU Agreement, Xi Jinping returns empty-handed
There are also Germany and France that bother Xi Jinping. In the evening of 5 July, Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Merkel and French President Macron held a video summit.
The significance of this summit to Xi Jinping is almost equivalent to a hedge against the Biden Putin summit, each trying to divide the relationship between each other and partners. We have seen Xinhua News Agency report on the content of Xi Jinping’s speech at the summit. There are two main points: one is to unfreeze the China-EU investment agreement as soon as possible, and the other is to support the EU’s “strategic autonomy”.
These two points are not difficult to interpret. One is the hope that the EU and the CCP will get closer, and the other is the hope that the EU and the United States will be further apart.
After the summit, the official draft of the CCP emphasized that the leaders of Germany and France both support the unfreezing of the China-EU Investment Agreement, and the mainland media also quickly followed up. There was an argument that Biden failed and China and Europe were a win-win situation. But what is striking is that neither the German Chancellor’s Office statement nor the French Presidential Palace’s official statement mentions the content of the China-EU Investment Agreement. Instead, it emphasizes that the French and German leaders have expressed serious concerns about the human rights situation in China. Concerned and reiterated against forced labor and so on.
From here, we can see that it does not matter whether the CCP is talking to itself. The key is that Xi Jinping has to come forward to restore the China-EU Investment Agreement, which is tantamount to highlighting the importance of this agreement to the CCP from one side and also highlighting Xi Jinping’s battle. How much loss did wolf diplomacy cause to yourself?
In fact, Merkel will leave office in two months. As one of the most important promoters of the China-EU Investment Agreement, even if Merkel expressed some optimism about China-EU trade prospects during the call, it is just a mere factual statement. It has no practical meaning. Therefore, judging from the comparison of the content of the three official statements, Xi Jinping has not achieved the goal he wanted.

Research: Coronavirus changed East Asian DNA 25,000 years ago

A study published in the journal Current Biology on 24 June said that the DNA of residents in East Asia left Features left after being infected with the coronavirus about 25,000 years ago.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported that this study analyzed the DNA of residents in 26 communities around the world and found evidence that residents of East Asia had fought against the coronavirus more than 20,000 years ago. These areas include China, Japan, and Vietnam, indicating that residents there suffered a coronavirus plague about 20,000 years ago, and it did not end until 5,000 years ago.
Under the microscope, the coronavirus particles are named after the crown protrusions on the outside. The Covid-19 (Chinese Communist virus) plague that has been circulating in the world in the past two years is one of them.
The New York Times reported that coronaviruses need to rely on the microscopic mechanism of human genes to infect the human body. Therefore, by focusing on the interaction of hundreds of genes in the human body with the coronavirus, it can be seen that the population in these areas was infected tens of thousands of years ago. The imprint left behind in the gene.
The study found 42 genes in the DNA of five of the community populations. These genes have a sufficient number of deformed versions to show that they are the result of evolution after fighting a plague. Specifically, these genes may make it difficult for the virus to use to replicate in order to better deal with the virus and make some changes in its own mechanism. Studies have shown that people with these variants of genes are more likely to survive the plague, and these people pass on their genes to the next generation.
One of the authors of the study, Yassine Souilmi, a bioinformatics expert at the University of Adelaide in Australia, told the ABC: "A few generations later, a beneficial genetic variant (for antiviral) appeared The frequency will increase. This leaves a clear mark in the genes of the offspring population."
According to the ABC report, it will take at least 500 to 1,000 years for this genetic marker to become obvious and spread in the community. Ten thousand years ago, people could only rely on measures to avoid infection and their own genes to fight against viruses.
In order to understand how long ago the antiviral features in these genes appeared, the researchers examined the random variants of these 42 genes. In theory, the longer these features are formed, the greater the number of randomly deformed versions. The researchers found that these 42 genes have the same number of variant versions, which indicates that they began to appear in the population at roughly the same time. This study speculates that these genes began to appear anti-coronavirus features approximately 20,000 to 25,000 years ago.
The biologist who was not involved in the study, Joel Wertheim of the University of California, San Diego, told Live Science that in this plague, modern medicine uses vaccines like vaccines. It’s unlikely that this wave of plague will leave a mark in the genes of the modern population.
Another scholar, statistical geneticist Vicki Jackson, who was not involved in this study, told the ABC that under this wave of plague, whether a person is infected with the coronavirus is affected by social factors more than the person's own genetic factors. "Factors such as a person's work content, basic health status, and socioeconomic class have a greater impact on the person's risk of infection."
Jackson also said that the findings of this study may be useful for the treatment of people infected with the Covid-19 virus and other coronaviruses, because after all, these 42 genes helped people survive the plague at that time.
