Masks are a must-have item for the Tokyo Olympics. IOC: Masks are required for award presentations

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) stated today that masks are a "must-have item" for the Tokyo Olympics awards ceremonies. Previously swimmers did not wear masks on the podium and hugged their opponents, violating epidemic prevention regulations.

All Olympic venues are mandatory to wear masks, whether indoor or outdoor, athletes, staff and the media apply as a whole. This is part of the organizers' strict epidemic prevention measures.

In response to the doubt that swimmers did not wear masks, the International Olympic Games spokesperson Mark Adams replied: "It is not better to wear them, but you must wear them."

American swimmer Chase Kalisz at the 400 m mixed event won gold. On the podium, there was no mask on the podium to hug compatriots and silver medalist Jay Litherland. Neither Litherland nor bronze medalist Brendon Smith of Australia wore a mask. Soon after, in the women's 400-meter freestyle relay event, swimmers from Australia, Canada and the United States on the podium also hugged each other and took pictures without wearing masks.

Adams said, "No, we did not loosen the restrictions. We hereby appeal and require everyone to abide by the rules. This is very important to the competition, all participants and our Japanese friends, and it can convey a strong message."

During the opening ceremony on 23 July, most of the Kyrgyz and Tajik teams entered the stadium without wearing masks, in sharp contrast with other national teams that abide by the epidemic prevention regulations. The organizer said that 10 more people related to the Olympics were diagnosed on 25 July and the total number of diagnoses since 1 July has reached 132. (Central News Agency)

On 25 July 2021, local time, in the finals of the men's skateboard street competition at the Tokyo Olympics, the host player Yuto Horigome won the gold medal for his total absolute advantage of 37.18. Brazil's Kelvin Hoefler  and the US's Jagger Eaton won the silver and bronze medals.

This Olympic Games introduces skateboarding for the first time. The competition was held in a straight "street style" venue. The site includes stairs, handrails, road edges, slopes and other settings. The referees score based on the overall fluency, completion, and stability of the players in the game. The difficulty and creativity of the entire set of actions are the key to winning.

Due to the impact of the on-site temperature and wind speed, as well as the pressure of the game, many good players made mistakes in the game. The French player Aurelian Giro, who ranked first in the preliminary rounds, withdrew from the championship after a series of mistakes. American skateboarding star Nyjah Huston gave it a go in the final round and challenged difficult moves, but due to a mistake, he fell and passed the medal.

Japanese player Yuto Horigome had held the Men's Championship of the Street Skate World Championship in June, and was regarded as the favorite before the game. Although there were mistakes in the first two rounds of the line sliding but in the latter course, he successfully released a big trick and won the championship with his amazing performance. This is also the first skateboarding gold medal in the history of the Olympic Games.

As a new project with a unique style on the competitive sports arena, street skateboarding is extremely enjoyable and energetic. Yuto Horigome said, "Skateboarding is a kind of happy enjoyment. In this event, the competition part only accounts for 20%, and the remaining 80% is entertainment and enjoyment."

Luo Jialing, a 19-year-old female athlete from Taiwan, took the lead in the 57kg bronze medal match in the Tokyo Olympic Women’s Taekwondo at 10:6, 29-year-old Tekiath Ben Yessouf from Africa. She won the bronze medal when she broke into the Olympics, and it was Taiwan’s second medal in this Olympics. For the first time in her career, she won the bronze medal and earned NT$5 million in Guoguang’s prize money.

Luo Jialing, 183 cm tall, is quite competitive in international competitions and is regarded as a super potential stock in domestic Taekwondo. She won gold twice in the 2016 and 2018 World Junior Championships. In May this year, she won the Tokyo Olympics tickets in the Asian Taekwondo Qualifying Tournament, becoming the youngest athlete ever to challenge the 57kg Olympics event in Taiwan.

Luo Jialing defeated South Korea’s strong rival Lee Areum in the round of 16, and then came to the 2019 World Championships bronze medal Canadian Parker (Skylar Park) to advance to the top 4, but lost at the foot of the 18-year-old Anastasija Zolotic in the United States. In the bronze medal match, Benyesov narrowly defeated 19-year-old Fani Tzeli of Greece in the "golden score" of the wild card match, and got a chance to compete for the medal. Luo Jialing fell behind 3:4 in the 3rd round, but she hit the opponent's head twice and scored 6 points, which became the biggest key to winning the bronze.

After Luo Jialing won the medal, the Taiwan delegation scored 1 silver and 1 bronze in the two-day event. The silver medal was yesterday's "Judo male god" Yang Yongwei men's 60kg silver medal. It is worth mentioning that Luo Jialing is the second Taiwanese women's 57kg medal winner after Zeng Licheng in the 2012 London Olympics, and she is only 19 years old and has an unlimited future.

Counting the past few Olympics, "Taekwondo" has always been a popular sporting event for Taiwan. Since 2000, Taiwan has won a total of 9 medals, including 2 golds, 1 silver and 6 bronze.

Yang Yongwei’s "Judo Ear" has been working hard for 14 years

Reporters : Xu Youxiang, Li Chengyou / Photographers : Lai Chongrong and Li Chengyou

During the Olympic Judo competition Everyone noticed that the ears of Yang Yongwei and Naohisa Takato are not the same as everyone else. They both have so-called "judo ears." This is a testament to the hard training that the players’ ears rubbed against the floor or clothes, and repeated it repeatedly, causing cystic fibrosis in the auricle. Therefore, everyone is joking, seeing that judo ears are all masters. Do not provoke them.

Yang Yongwei won the Tokyo Olympics silver medal. He took the silver medal on the podium to stick his face. His actions were natural and sincere, and he won countless fans. At the same time, the audience noticed special places. A closer look reveals that Yang Yongwei’s right ear is a bit fibrotic, which is commonly known as the judo ear. The reason behind it is for Yongwei’s younger brother to decipher it.

Younger brother of Yang Yongwei said, "On the back, here, and on the upper side, there will be bruises like this. After it hardens, there will be a kind of dry one. When we clear it out at the beginning, it will be swollen and red. It’s very painful, it’s painful, it hurts when it touches it, and it hurts when it’s rubbed.”

Yongwei’s younger brother also practices judo. He said that his ears bled after body contact with his opponent and rubbing on the floor during training or competitions. Wounds are not fully healed and then they were injured again, caused by years of practice.

Younger brother of Yang Yongwei said, "Apply ice, and then keep applying ice like this, it's blood stasis inside."

Brother of Yongwei said that not only judo, but also events like wrestling, there will be more or less ear fibrosis problems.

A professional doctor explained that if you want to solve the judo ear once and for all, you may have to go through surgery.

Taichung Veterans General Hospital Otolaryngologist Yan Tingting said, "It is to use a needle to suck out the tissue fluid and apply external pressure, but this method is easy to relapse." It is not only Yang Yongwei, but also Japanese player Naohisa Takoto's judo ears are on both sides, quite obvious, especially when wearing his mask, people can tell the difference at a glance, just like a boxer’s missing teeth.

Each competition has a special mark, and the back is hard training and hard work.

Tokyo Olympic Swimming 400 mixed race: 18-year-old Tunisian teenager picks gold

Who is Ahmed Hafnaoui? In today's Tokyo Olympics Men's Swimming 400 mixed final, after only 18 years old Hafnaoui hit a wall, no one knows who he is? Don’t say that others don’t believe it, even Hafnaoui himself cannot believe he has achieved his goal. The 18-year-old from Tunisia, Africa, unexpectedly defeated the swimming powers of the United States and Australia to win gold and set the Tokyo Olympics' record. It is the biggest upset in two days from swimming!

In the men’s 400 mixed preliminaries, Hafnaoui entered the final with only 4th place. He was placed on the outermost waterway and was not conspicuous at all. However, he did not expect that he would soar in the final 3 minutes 43.36 seconds, squeezing out Australia, American stars Jack McLoughlin and Kiera Smith to win the gold medal.

Even the media asked Smith after the game. He only said, "He (Hafnaoui) is the Olympic 400 mixed gold medal winner, this is what I know about him." Australian star McLoughlin ranked 2nd in the Tokyo Olympics Men's Swimming 400 Mixed Final.

Hafnaoui won the gold, and even he himself was as surprised as the others. He said: "When I hit a wall, I believed...Even I was surprised and couldn't accept it. This.” He went on to say, “I will dedicate (gold) to my family, my mother, my father, and my sisters. I hope they are proud of me.” Hafnaoui took the gold, himself. The level of surprise is no less than that of others.

Hafnawi’s gold medal is the first hardware in the history of the Tunisian Olympic Games delegation and the third gold medal in Tunisia’s Olympic swimming. The first two gold medals were won by Ous Mellouli in 2008. In the Beijing Olympics in 2012 and the London Olympics in 2012, they won gold medals in the 1,500 and 10 kilometers open waters respectively. "He is a legend. I hope to be like him one day." Hafnaoui said of Meluli. "I burst into tears. When I saw the national flag of my country and heard the national anthem in the background, it felt great. I was very proud of it!" said Hafnaoui. Super fungus outbreak in the United States! It is confirmed that it is "incurable"

Editor : Chen Yiling

Covid began to break out in 2019, and covi has ravaged the world for more than a year. Unexpectedly, the US CDC reported that there is an incurable super fungus that is spreading in medical institutions in two cities, and the three main drug treatments have no effect on the fungus. There are currently three people infected this year and died.

According to a report by the Associated Press, the CDC reported that a nursing home in Washington, DC, and two hospitals in Dallas had outbreaks of superbugs. None of the three main drugs worked.

At present, 101 cases of Candida auris have been reported in a nursing home specializing in the treatment of critically ill patients in Washington, D.C., of which 3 cases are drug-resistant; and 2 of the 22 cases diagnosed in 2 hospitals in Dallas have been diagnosed. Cases appear to be resistant to drugs.

The cases in these two regions of the United States were between January and April 2021. Of the five drug-resistant cases, three have died.

CDC expert Meghan Lyman said that this is the first time they have seen “drug resistant clusters” and the patients seem to be infected with each other. Among all the ongoing outbreaks, there have been new cases since April, and the exact number has not yet been clearly estimated. After investigating the medical records, the researchers found that these patients had not used antifungal drugs in the past, which also led CDC health officials to believe that they "will spread from person to person."

The report pointed out that the fungus, also known as Candida auris, is very dangerous for patients with serious illnesses in hospitals and nursing homes. If the fungus enters the blood, heart or brain, it can be fatal. If it is spread through patient contact or contaminated objects in the hospital, it may cause an outbreak of nosocomial infection.

In New York, there were 3 cases of super fungus infection in 2019 but they turned out to be resistant to the antifungal drug Echinocandins, which is regarded as the last line of defense. There is no evidence that patients can infect each other, and research has found that drug resistance is produced during the treatment process.

Most countries "entry approved" vaccine exposed- AstraZeneca!

Editor : Yang Weining

Although the Taiwan covid epidemic is gradually under control, it is still difficult to go back to the previous zero addition. At present, counties and cities are cooperating with the central government to administer large-scale vaccines. As of 24 July, the coverage rate of Taiwan's vaccination population has reached 26.05%, with a total of 251,942 people vaccinated.

However, with so many vaccines currently on the market, how to choose? ICU physician Chen Zhijin shared on Facebook the vaccines that have received the most "entry approval" from countries. According to a report by The Economist, Dr. Chen Zhijin pointed out that currently nearly 120 countries have approved the AZ vaccine (AstraZeneca), followed by Pfizer -BioNTech vaccine (Comirnaty), which has been approved by nearly 90 countries, and the third is Russian research and developed vaccine, which claims to be able to defeat the Delta variant, Sputnik V, and the fourth one is the Sinopharm vaccine.

As for Moderna that Taiwanese people generally want to take, it only ranks fifth, with less than 60 countries accredited, followed by the 6th to 10th, which is the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (Janssen), India's Covishield vaccine, Sinovac vaccine (CoronaVac), India's Covaxin vaccine and CanSinaBio.

However, Dr. Chen Zhijin also explained that the reason why the AZ vaccine has been approved by the most countries is also related to its "usage rate." According to data from the travel website VisaGuide.World, the AZ vaccine is currently the most popular vaccine in the world and has been certified by the World Health Organization (WHO).

MVC vaccine will be included in Taiwan public vaccination plan from August 2021

Editor : Lin Baohong

Chen Shizhong announced that MVC vaccine MVC-COV1901 will be included in the publicly funded vaccination plan. He said that the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (ACIP)  held an ad hoc meeting on 25 July 2021 to discuss MVC vaccination. The experts agreed to be include it in the publicly funded vaccination plan.

Chen Shizhong also mentioned that he would next find out whether the MVC company's supply plan can meet the contract requirements. Since this plan has only been released for less than one hour, an inventory will be carried out next. It was previously reported that 80% of the MVC vaccine were returned.

Chen Shizhong mentioned that the current production capacity of MVC-COV1901 is low, EUA has just passed, and it will take some time to increase production capacity. After ACIP's discussion, a plan will be developed and implemented, the fastest is from August, there should be a small supply every month.

ACIP believes that people who are allergic to adenovirus vectors can be vaccinated first, while others will make relevant plans according to the needs of the command centre.

Earlier news pointed out that after passing the EUA, MVC vaccines experienced instability when expanding production capacity. 80% of the products were returned. Both MVC Vaccines and the Food and Drug Administration issued a statement to clarify. Chen Shizhong was asked about this issue today. He said, "I didn't say it very clearly." Every company's production line has a yield rate and a defective rate. It still has to be batch-tested to meet the quality requirements before release.

Research: Sinopharm  has poor protection for the elderly

A new study shows that Sinopharm’s covi vaccine has poor protection for the elderly, which has caused many countries question. These countries are introducing this vaccine to vaccinate their most vulnerable groups.

According to this new study, 450 people from Hungary were vaccinated with Sinopharm's covi vaccine. Blood samples taken at least two weeks after the second injection showed that 90% of the recipients under the age of 50 were vaccinated. Humans have produced protective antibodies. However, this proportion decreases with age, and 50% of recipients over 80 years of age have not developed antibodies.

Two Hungarian researchers posted the study online this week and it has not yet been reviewed by other peers. The three external experts said that they have no objection to the method used in the study to develop a vaccine by the Beijing Institute of Biological Products of Sinopharm Group.

"The antibody response of these high-risk groups is very, very worrying," said Jin Dong-yan, a virologist at the University of Hong Kong. He did not participate in the study.

Antibody levels cannot directly measure a person's degree of immunity to the covi but more and more evidence shows that they are a good measure. An expert cautioned that the test kit itself may also affect the accuracy of the measurement.

Former Peking Union Medical College professor and immunology expert Wang Chenguang said that despite this, the results of this study are also valuable. This is the first public and scientific attempt to analyze the impact of the Chinese medicine vaccine on the elderly.

The Chinese Communist Party’s National Health Commission declined to comment on the research, saying it only responded to research conducted by the government or major research institutions.

News (12)

Sinopharm vaccine is increasingly questioned

This is not the first time that the efficacy of Sinopharm's vaccine has been questioned. The vaccine was approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) in May and has been extended to more than 50 countries. Many of these countries chose this vaccine as a last resort because it is difficult for them to obtain other vaccines.

A WHO spokesperson said Wednesday (21 July) that its experts "know about this research and continue to study all available evidence." The agency’s consultants raised the question of whether the vaccine can provide protection to people over 60 years old a few months ago. But when it was approved, a WHO expert said that there was no reason to believe that the vaccine would work differently for the elderly.

The vaccine is one of two similar vaccines developed by Sinopharm Group. A study by the Chinese Communist Party's state-owned company showed that in the final phase of clinical trials, almost all participants were under 60 years old. Its own researchers say that there is not enough evidence to show whether these vaccines are effective for the elderly. Overall, the vaccine from the Beijing Research Institute is said to be 78% effective.

In Hungary, out of concerns about the vaccine, many recipients require antibody testing. As part of the pressure on the government, they asked the government to conduct a wider investigation. In the end, the capital Budapest provided free tests to elderly residents and provided vaccine boosters to those in need.

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain both announced in May that they would also provide a third dose of national medicine vaccine due to concerns about insufficient antibody response. Bahrain recommends that people over the age of 50 and some other disadvantaged groups receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine as a booster, regardless of whether they initially received the Sinopharm vaccine.

Fox News reported that CNBG (China National Biotechnology Co., Ltd., referred to as China Biotech), a subsidiary of Sinopharm, which is responsible for overseeing the work of the Beijing Institute, said that the third dose of the vaccine is not within the company's clinical guidance.

It is unclear how many doses of the national medicine vaccine have been exported. Overall, the mainland exported 500 million doses of vaccine in the first half of this year. The company is one of China's two major manufacturers of covi vaccines, and the other company is privately owned Sinovac.

The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization recently ordered 550 million doses of vaccines from the two companies for the COVAX project supported by the United Nations.

The two vaccines of Sinopharm Group are widely used in China, including the elderly. The National Health Commission said in April that these vaccines provide some protection. However, the department acknowledged that early clinical trials of the Sinopharm vaccine and the other two vaccines found that recipients over the age of 60 had fewer antibodies.

Also this week, another new study showed that the covi vaccine launched by Sinopharm Group has greatly weakened the antibody response to variants such as Delta.

Doctors raise awareness on ivermectin as treatment for COVID-19 to help end the pandemic

Image : Ivermectin (Luis Robayo/AFP via Getty Images)

In an effort to help end the pandemic, an international coalition of medical experts is holding worldwide events Saturday to raise awareness about the effectiveness of ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19.

Organizers of the World Ivermectin Day say doctors and supporters of the inexpensive FDA-approved drug will host free online and public events in over a dozen countries.

Two nonprofits—Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care (FLCCC) Alliance and the British Ivermectin Recommendation Development (BIRD) group—who have been campaigning for the off-label use of ivermectin to prevent and treat COVID-19 say the event’s focus is to let more people know that the antiparasitic drug can treat COVID-19, possibly end the pandemic, and help eliminate fear of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

“We have an incredibly positive and uplifting message to share: ivermectin treats and prevents COVID and it is the key to unlocking the never-ending cycle of pandemic peaks and personal restrictions and will help restart economies,” Dr. Tess Lawrie, cofounder of the BIRD group said in a press release.

Lawrie is also a co-author of a peer-reviewed meta-analysis study published in the American Journal of Therapeutics that found ivermectin to be effective against COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP virus. Lawrie and her team concluded with a moderate level of confidence that ivermectin reduced the risk of death by an average of 62 percent, at a 95 percent confidence interval of 0.19-0.73, especially when prescribed early.

FLCCC Alliance also conducted their own review of 18 randomized controlled trials on COVID-19 treatment with ivermectin. They found “large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance.” The authors also said that studies on the prevention of COVID-19 reported significantly reduced risks of the disease with regular use of the drug.

Members of the FLCCC Alliance have developed various protocols for the prevention and early treatment of COVID-19,  instead of having patients wait until they develop a severe illness to receive treatment at the hospital. These treatment protocols including one for the management of long COVID are being used globally.

The current standard protocol for COVID-19 positive patients is to isolate at home, avoid dehydration, rest, and take over-the-counter medications for fever, headache, cough, and body pain.

According to updated guidance from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 and who are at high risk of disease progression, are recommended to take a monoclonal antibody if hospitalization or supplemental oxygen is not required.

Despite evidence showing ivermectin may treat all stages of COVID-19 and reduce death and hospitalization as a result of its anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties, the FDA has not approved its use, saying that the drug is not an anti-viral. The federal regulator issued a warning that people should not take ivermectin intended for horses as the larger doses may be harmful to humans.

The NIH has not changed its neutral stance on the use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19, while the World Health Organization (WHO) does not recommend the use of the drug except in a clinical study. Both organizations cite insufficient data for not making a recommendation.

News (14)

Unprecedented censorship on ivermectin

Online discussions of ivermectin have faced an unprecedented level of suppression with doctors claiming that their videos are being taken down or their LinkedIn accounts closed.

Lawrie said she has experienced censorship with her work on ivermectin, claiming that her videos about the drug have been removed and posts censored on social media.

“I have experienced a lot of censorship ever since I started doing work on ivermectin (never before),” Lawrie told The Epoch Times via email. “I have had my post of my published peer-reviewed scientific manuscript removed from LinkedIn.”

She also said that many people have informed her that their accounts would be restricted or censored “if they post the work my company has produced on ivermectin or interviews that I have done.”

LinkedIn did not reply to a request for comment.

Dr. Mobeen Syed, chief executive officer of Drbeen Corp, an online medical education, said YouTube took down three of his videos on ivermectin within 24 hours.

“[Third] book burnt in 24 hours. @Youtube @TeamYouTube continue to burn books,” Syed said on Twitter on July 11. “This video was important to keep people safe who are using ivermectin regardless of what YouTube thinks.”

YouTube did not reply to The Epoch Times inquiry on clarification of which terms or conditions Syed’s videos had violated.

Ivermectin is not the only topic being suppressed or blocked by Big Tech firms. Social media posts about the lab leak theory that the CCP virus escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, and information that goes against the narrative about the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine has also been censored.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki suggested at a White House briefing that people should be banned from all social media platforms if they post misinformation online about COVID-19 vaccines, alleging that this type of information was “leading to people not taking the vaccine.” Psaki’s suggestion has drawn widespread condemnation.

Regardless of the suppression of ivermectin around the world, people have found unique ways to get the information out. Social media posts of lawn signs have appeared in Manitoba, Canada with a simple message that reads, “Ivermectin treats COVID-19” along with the FLCCC website listed.

Members of the FLCCC Alliance said in a reply to an email that they would continue their mission in getting ivermectin approved for COVID-19 despite the censorship.

“Thank you for your email. Abandoning our mission is not [an] option. Yes, it has been hell. But as Winston Churchill once said, ‘If you’re going through hell, keep going.’ So if we need to leave you here, we understand. But we’ll march on. Your life matters that much,” the nonprofit said earlier this month.

Will the covid pandemic become the CCP’s Chernobyl?

Image courtesy : Feng Li / Getty Images

35 years ago, the Chernobyl nuclear accident gave the incompetent and corrupt Soviet communist regime notoriety at home and abroad and finally brought the end of the Soviet Union. In the face of the ongoing COVID-19 (disease caused by the CCP virus) epidemic, experts in American think tanks wrote an article that when people experience the catastrophe caused by this great plague to the world, will this plague become a cheer for the Chinese Communist regime?

Arthur Herman, a senior researcher at the Hudson Institute, recently wrote in the National Review (NR) magazine that the Chernobyl nuclear accident and the virus pandemic disaster are strangely similar. The place is incredible.

News (16)

There are weird similarities between the Chernobyl nuclear accident and the Great Plague

Herman first introduced the Chernobyl nuclear accident and the concealment of the CPSU. He wrote that on 26 April 1986, Chernobyl [ear the city of Pripyat (located in today’s Ukraine)] Nuclear power plant No. 4 nuclear reactor had a large-scale explosion, and its scale was so large that it finally blasted 2000 tons of reactor castings directly through the roof of the reactor's cement structure. Even so, news of the nuclear reactor explosion was blocked. It was not until traces of radioactive fallout were detected at a nuclear facility in Sweden the next day that Soviet citizens began to hear about what happened at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant from foreign news sources. The same is true in other parts of the world.

The number of recent deaths caused by nuclear accidents (those who died of radiation sickness immediately or within a few weeks or months thereafter) is about 54; the number of deaths due to long-term exposure to nuclear radiation is high, and the estimates vary by various parties, larger, from thousands to tens of thousands, or even higher.

He stated that the disaster of the Chernobyl nuclear accident caused the CPSU regime to lose any credibility in the minds of its citizens, and it also gave the CPSU regime a final blow.

Next, in response to the current virus epidemic, Hermann explored the consequences of the CCP who made the same concealment behaviour.

"For the current CCP regime in Beijing, more and more evidence shows that the CCP virus has no zoonotic origin, which means that it has not spread from animals to humans as the CCP still claims. It was probably leaked from a laboratory of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which shows that the CCP is responsible for the disaster that is far more serious than the Chernobyl nuclear accident. The survival impact is not unreasonable," he wrote.

Herman speculated that there is evidence that the Chinese Communist government has concealed the severity of the epidemic in China while allowing the virus to spread abroad. Therefore, one can also speculate that the CCP government does not regard the plague crisis as a tragedy, but as an opportunity to disrupt the world economy and society, which is beneficial to the CCP.

News (17)

The CCP’s leadership has been striving for global hegemony

But Herman is not optimistic that people within the CCP will overthrow Xi Jinping's rule. He wrote that if the international community’s anger towards the CCP, which caused the pandemic, reaches an intolerable level, it may force the opposition within the CCP to instigate rebellion. Given that Xi Jinping used Mao Zedong's ruthless dictatorship and control of power as an example, this possibility is very slim. Even if it becomes a reality, Beijing's comprehensive monitoring of the people will prevent the Chinese people from understanding the truth about the Wuhan epidemic.

Next, Hermann elaborated on the actions of the CCP for decades from Mao Zedong to Xi Jinping in its attempts to fight for global hegemony:

Since Mao Zedong took power in 1949, the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party has been striving for global hegemony. Mao Zedong's successors, starting from Deng Xiaoping, have been committed to this journey of no return.

Although Deng was friendly to the West, it was Deng Xiaoping who first described the relationship with the United States as a "cold war" relationship and made it clear to his colleagues that his goal of market reforms to the Chinese economy is to "enrich the country and strengthen the army." . Westerners think that Deng’s reform is to incorporate China into the global economic system. In fact, he is a step to dominate and control the system to achieve hegemony.

In the first dozen or so years of this century, the CCP used high technology to monitor the entire China, including the Great Firewall, and launched a cyber offensive, stealing hundreds of billions of dollars worth of intellectual property from the unsuspecting Western world. This is the largest transfer of wealth in history.

The purpose of the CCP’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative and the “Made in China 2025” master plan is to use necessary means to make Communist China the dominant superpower in the world, which may include the use of the CCP virus pandemic to put competitors’ economies into trouble, especially It is the economy of the United States.

Hope the world learns the lessons of the Chernobyl accident and recognizes the CCP

Herman talked about Xi Jinping's ambitions. He wrote that in fact, as outlined in Xi Jinping’s 14th Five-Year Development Plan, China’s increased research on recombinant DNA technology may indicate that the Chinese government is interested in finding a more toxic virus as a potential Biological weapons.

"However, we hope that the international community can learn from the Chernobyl accident, which reveals what kind of disaster a morally depraved authoritarian regime can bring, and the truth of the disaster is covered up. The Chernobyl accident In turn, it has taught us a sober lesson, letting us understand the possible risks of cooperating with Beijing or tolerating it." Herman said.

At the end of the article, Herman stated that millions of people all over the world died and trillions of dollars were lost because of the terrible price paid by ignoring the threat posed by a centralized state now and in the future.

River embankment breaks, Henan admits flood discharge

Reporter : Zhong Yuan / Editor : Gao Yi / https://www.epochtimes.com/gb/21/7/24/n13112610.htm

Image : On 23 July, flooded buildings and streets in Xinxiang City, Henan Province. The Chinese Communist Party media reported on July 24 that, "since the 16th," Henan "in 137 counties (cities, districts), 1,373 townships and towns across the province, 9,305,700 people were affected by the disaster, with 58 deaths and 5 missing". (AFP via Getty Images)

On 24 July, Xinhua News Agency once again reported the floods in Henan, stating that "since the 16th, as of 4 pm on 24 July, this round of heavy rainfall in Henan caused 137 counties (cities, districts) in the province.  9,305,700 people in 1,373 townships were affected by the disaster, with 58 deaths and 5 missing due to the disaster."

According to the reports of the party media, the death toll continued to increase, and the time of the disaster was advanced to July 16, not just the "one in a thousand" rainstorm in Zhengzhou, Henan, on July 20. The timeline of this report also embarrassed Xi Jinping.

On 23 July, Xinhua News Agency reported that Xi Jinping was visiting Tibet. Finally, he added a paragraph specifically saying that "During the inspection, Xi Jinping immediately made important instructions after learning of the extreme heavy rainfall in Henan." Now, the flood in Henan has been advanced to 16 July. Xi Jinping should still be in Beijing and not on the road, but he did not give instructions in time. Whether it is the CCP media's evasion of reporting on the floods or the CCP officials' deceit and deception, they once again pushed Xi Jinping to the forefront.

The latest report from Xinhua News Agency also revealed that in Junxian County, Hebi, Henan, "the left bank of the Weihe River collapsed into a breach, and the right bank has been flooded according to the flood release plan, and 6 flood storage and detention areas have been opened."

This is the first time that party media disclosed the specific locations of river breaches and flood discharges in Henan. Xinhua News Agency did not provide more specific information. Checking the Henan Provincial Government website, it was announced that on 24 July, Governor Wang Kai "to conduct emergency rescue and disaster relief at the scene of Junxian County" should be regarded as a typical case of "leading command", indicating that the disaster situation in Junxian County near Hebi City, Henan Province was very serious, severe.

Henan Province did not announce the exact time of the breach, but only confusingly stated, “Affected by continuous heavy rainfall, a breach occurred in the river section of Xinzhen Town, Weihe Jun County... On the afternoon of 23 July, Wang Kai came to the scene”, demanding that “the shortest Within the time limit, the levee will be blocked and the dam will be strengthened. "At present...the work of blocking the levee and consolidating the dam is being stepped up."

The Xinhua News Agency reported that “the collapse of the left bank of the Weihe River has formed a breach, and the right bank has been flooded according to the flood release plan, and six flood storage and detention areas have been activated.” Whenever there is a breach, the breach has not been blocked yet, but the flood discharge has already begun. In fact, there is no other way but to let the flood raging. On 24 July, at the flood control press conference in Henan Province, CCP officials continued to perfuse and sing praises, and in front of many media, they repeatedly asked the media to dig out more touching stories.

The Emergency Management Department of Henan Province also announced that “the Qi River, Dasha River, Weihe River, Anyang River, and the Communist Canal have over-protected floods, and Yinghe, Honghe, Qinhe, and Huiji Rivers have over-warranted floods. There are 13 in the province. The water level of two large reservoirs and 44 medium-sized reservoirs exceeded the flood limit."

This is tantamount to telling in a disguised form that in order to ensure the safety of these reservoirs, floods will inevitably be released. As for whether the floods have been released before, it is unclear. However, since Henan has been flooded on July 16, it is not difficult to imagine that these reservoirs should have flooded many times, but they dare not make it public. If it were not for the breach on the left bank of the Weihe River in Junxian County near Hebi, Henan, the right bank could only discharge floods. It is estimated that no one has admitted to the flood discharge.

On 23 July, the Zhengzhou Municipal Government website announced that Mayor Hou Hong "directed and dispatched flood control, rescue and disaster relief work", also known as "bent into the game and fight on the front line" as required by Xi Jinping. The government informed that, “In the past few days, Mayor Hou Hong has repeatedly rained deep into reservoirs, river courses and other vulnerable points... In Changzhuang Reservoir, Hou Hong inspected the reservoir dam, reservoir water level, reservoir flood discharge, etc., and emphasized the need to keep close. Pay attention to hydrological information, strictly control the flood limit water level, timely adjust and release floods... fully protect the safety of reservoirs."

It can be seen that the Zhengzhou Municipal Government also recognizes that the safety of the reservoir is the first priority, and it also recognizes that the flood discharge is at the same time. The floods in Zhengzhou were obviously not only caused by heavy rains.

The notification also cited as an example, “The Guojiazui Reservoir, a small (1) reservoir on the Jinshuihe in Erqi District, has a dangerous situation. Hou Hong has always adhered to the front-line command and disposal of the dangerous situation in the reservoir area. Hong and other measures...At present, the water level of Guojiazui Reservoir has gradually stabilized, forming a downward trend."

It seems that Xi Jinping's "forward command" should refer to the reservoir first. According to Xinhua News Agency, "Since the 16th," Henan "in 137 counties (cities, districts), 1,373 townships and towns across the province, 9,305,700 people were affected... 814,900 people were evacuated in emergency, and 1,141,100 people were evacuated and resettled, requiring emergency living assistance The number of people reached 444,100". Compared with the reservoir, these victims are not the so-called "front command".

In other words, the CCP officials “directing ahead” of the reservoir to fight the flood is equivalent to creating floods for the people, but they are unwilling to tell the people.

Of the nearly tens of millions of victims in Henan, how many were affected by torrential rains and how many were affected by reservoir flooding, it is currently impossible to confirm; however, it can be confirmed that the vast majority of people did not know about the reservoir's flooding and suffered the disaster. The Xinhua News Agency's report finally stated that "the current situation of the disaster is still under further statistics and verification."

The large and small reservoirs in Henan Province may still release floods, and the disaster will only expand further, at least the Weihe River has not been blocked yet. This is the case in Henan, and other provinces should be the same. Now more people understand where the flood came from.

The Philippines bet on Beijing's "wrong bet" to return to the US-Philippines Alliance

The Philippines recently announced that it will not terminate the "Visiting Forces Agreement" signed with the United States. US Secretary of Defense Austin, who will visit Manila, said that he would emphasize to allies during the visit that the United States is against China. (The Chinese Communist Party) A reliable partner for threats. Some experts believe that despite the Philippine President Duterte's continuous goodwill to Beijing, Beijing has not fulfilled its commitment to help the Philippines build infrastructure, but has continued to move in the South China Sea, and the Philippines is moving closer to Washington.

Experts call on the United States to strengthen its strategic alliance with the Philippines and Southeast Asia, fulfill its commitments in the Indo-Pacific region, and unite with allies to check and balance Beijing's escalating provocations in the waters.

Standing in line in Beijing, the Philippine president "lost the bet"

The Jamestown Foundation held a seminar on China-Philippines relations and US strategy on the 22nd. Renato Cruz De Castro, professor of international studies at De La Salle University in the Philippines, discussed the foreign policy of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte at the meeting. Known as the "Appeasement policy" to China (Appeasement policy).

The Philippines has long been an ally of the United States, but since 2001, the Arroyo government has begun to consider a triangular relationship with the United States and China. Professor Castro said that President Arroyo took a delicate approach, saying "we must walk on two legs." (We must walk on two legs.) The subsequent President Aquino III was a staunch pro-American anti-China activist.

President Duterte's policy of appeasement towards China (the CCP), who took office in 2016, is unprecedented, Castro said.

Derek Grossman, a senior researcher at Rand Corporation in the United States, summed up Duterte’s primary task after taking office as "Goodbye Washington, hello Beijing!" This move has two purposes. : One is to attract China's infrastructure investment, and the other is to expect China to gradually soften its behavior in the South China Sea.

Husain Haqqani, a senior researcher at the Hudson Institute, director of the South and Central Asia Research Project, and former Pakistani ambassador to the United States, Husain Haqqani, told VOA that President Duterte made a bet but lost.

Duterte has visited China many times during his tenure and actively participated in China's "Belt and Road" forum. During his visit to China in 2019, he expressed the hope that he would "actively participate in the joint construction of the'Belt and Road', and will work with China to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields and jointly promote the development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship between the two countries."

To this day, the Philippines has learned nothing from it, Grossman said. As for another hope of the Philippines-shelving sovereignty disputes with China (the CCP) to jointly explore and exploit natural resources, it did not happen. Grossman even stated that these are unlikely to happen before Duterte's term expires in June next year. At the same time, China's (CCP) activities in the South China Sea have continued to intensify.

In April 2019, the Philippine government filed a diplomatic protest with China (the Chinese Communist Party) because as many as 275 Chinese fishing boats were found near the island of Pagaça (called Zhongye Island in China) under the jurisdiction of the Philippines in the South China Sea. In June of the same year, a Chinese fishing boat sank a Philippine fishing boat, which again triggered protests in the Philippines, saying that China deliberately sank its fishing boat and ignored the Philippine fishermen who fell into the sea.

The most recent time was in March this year, when more than 200 Chinese ships stopped at Whitson Reef (called Oxbow Reef in China) in the South China Sea. CNN reported that experts said that these blue-painted ships are China's maritime militia "little blue men" units, funded by the People's Liberation Army, and are an important part of Beijing's control of the South China Sea. Beijing denied this, saying that these ships were only sheltering locally.

Castro said that after this year's incident, the Philippine Navy, the Ministry of National Defense, the Coast Guard, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have all upgraded their defense operations, but President Duterte has not been seen. "He didn't show up until around April, claiming that he supported his defense secretary. But a few days later, his attitude changed, criticizing the actions of the Philippine Ministry of Defense may lead to a major conflict with China, which is very dangerous. The secretary of defense proposed to seek US assistance at the time and was dumbfounded. President Tert vetoed it, saying it would trigger a war, and decided that "appeasement is the top priority," Castro said.

However, Haqqani of the Hudson Institute said that with China's escalating ambitions in the South China Sea, the possibility of getting support from Beijing is slim, and next year's Philippine election, Duterte is turning to the United States.

Return to the Washington Union

In an interview with the media during the 2015 election campaign, Duterte stated that he was a “true left wing”. When he came to power in 2016, Duterte clearly expressed his anti-American attitude. He publicly criticized the colonialism of the United States in the early twentieth century. In September 2016, Philippine Foreign Minister Perfecto Yasay called for The United States should treat the Philippines as equals instead of treating them as "brown little brothers."

Duterte's anti-colonial and anti-American worldview was soon reflected in his "independent foreign policy" during his tenure, which is to reduce dependence on the United States and diversify potential participants, including China. In February last year, Duterte announced that he would terminate the "Visiting Forces Agreement", an important military agreement signed with the United States in 1998, which allowed the U.S. military to conduct training and exercises in the Philippines.

Despite Duterte’s repeated requests to terminate the agreement, the Philippine government suspended the abolition of the agreement three times. On the 21st of this month, the Philippine Secretary of Defense Delfin Lorenzana publicly stated that the "Visiting Forces Agreement" will not be terminated, and only some appendices to the implementation agreement will be added.

Duterte's attitude towards the United States has also undergone a 180-degree change since the middle of last year. Grossman pointed out that in July last year, the Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs under Duterte's leadership publicly recognized for the first time an international arbitration that was beneficial to Manila in 2016. This is something Duterte has been reluctant to do. In September last year, the president, who "talked about Beijing enthusiastically and had a negative attitude towards Washington half a year ago, delivered a speech at the UN General Assembly, saying that arbitration is a fact and cannot be Overturned, the Philippines will continue to support the ruling. This is unprecedented."

Grossman said that Duterte's change in attitude towards the United States proved that "the Philippines has no one to rely on except the United States, because China (the CCP) poses such a vital threat to the Philippines."

Senior researcher Patrick M. Cronin, chairman of the Hudson Institute’s Asia-Pacific Security Program, told VOA that this seemingly significant foreign policy change is actually Duterte’s strategy. To obtain leverage in time, strike a balance, and expand the overall interests of the Philippines. The three suspensions and annulments show that Duterte did not want to tear up the agreement, but threatened the United States by terminating the agreement. Cronin said that Duterte likes to play this political game, but he is actually a lame duck president, because the support of the US-Philippines alliance within the military and the entire Philippine society has never been so strong in the post-Cold War world.

This is also the main purpose of US Secretary of Defense Austin's visit to the Philippines, "strengthening the importance of the US-Philippines alliance," Cronin said.

What will Austin talk about during his visit to the Philippines?

Austin will start its Southeast Asia visit on July 23. It will visit Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines. The itinerary happens to be a round trip along the South China Sea.

Cronin said this is part of the Biden administration's policy to revive the alliance.

Cronin said that Austin will issue a clear statement in Singapore on Monday to show that the United States supports the Hague ruling and clarify the United States' claims. Cronin pointed out that although Austin will not make a specific statement on the sovereignty of Scarborough Shoal (called Huangyan Island in China), he will try to prove that the Biden administration will fully support the Philippines and its sovereignty and national defense.

Cronin said, "Austin will also talk about the short-term supply of the new crown vaccine, and President Duterte has repeatedly stated that they really want a vaccine... For medium and long-term goals, they should also discuss infrastructure cooperation... and arms sales. The Philippines has recently shown interest in F16 fighters and so on."

Washington should strengthen the Indo-Pacific alliance to deter Beijing

Haqqani said that facing the rising of China in the Indo-Pacific region, the United States' strategy is first based on strengthening the four-nation alliance, which is an important part of the Indo-Pacific region. Secondly, it focuses on reviving the long-standing US relationship in Southeast Asia. For example, rebuild relations with the Philippines, which has been an ally in the past, and rebuild the "Visiting Forces Agreement" that allows US forces to operate in the Philippines. Similarly, the alliance can be upgraded, but other countries in Southeast Asia must take similar actions.

Rick Larsen (D-WA), a U.S. Democratic member of the House of Representatives and co-chair of the "U.S.-China Working Group" of the House of Representatives, recently stated in a discussion at the Hudson Institute that the U.S. is working with its allies in the South China Sea. Do a lot of things. In the past few years, the United States has crossed the Taiwan Strait 21 times, continuing to show the world, not just to China, that international waters are free to navigate, sending signals (in the region) to deter. "

Cronin of the Hudson Institute explored the possibility of rebuilding a broader, multilateral trading network in the Indo-Pacific region. He believes that China has rapidly grown into the largest trading partner of most countries, while the United States has withdrawn from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and there is a lack of international trade relations policies.

Cronin cited recent Pew polls to point out that most advanced economies in the world have lost a lot of trust in China (the CCP), but have gained a lot of trust in the United States. The United States may need to consider rebuilding multilateral trade ties and return to the game to counterbalance the ambitions of the rapidly developing China (CCP).

The Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel can be accurately monitored, what does the military stability explain

Reporter : Zhou Xiaohui / Editor : Putan / https://www.epochtimes.com/gb/21/7/24/n13112496.htm

Image : The Zhengzhou tunnel has no roof, and the mysterious "national team" has appeared shady? "Internal reference" is useless. "One in a thousand years" mouthpiece fights each other. Is the position of Xi's cronies insecure? (Provided by "Voices of Influence")

Recently, the huge disaster caused by heavy rain in Zhengzhou once again confirmed the incompetence of the Chinese Communist Party and officials at all levels, and the authorities concealed the mistakes and concealment of the local government under the full view of the public. It is extremely stupid to cover up the truth, such as the number of deaths.

At present, the most serious known casualties in Zhengzhou are the flooded Metro Line 5 and the Jingguang Road Tunnel. The Jingguang Tunnel is 4.3 kilometers long and has six lanes in both directions. According to reports, the tunnel was submerged within 5 minutes under the torrential rain and flood discharge on July 20. At that time, there were traffic jams in the tunnel and hundreds or even thousands of vehicles were in the tunnel. How many people died? There are many guesses, ranging from dozens to thousands of people.

In fact, the Henan local government should know the most about how many cars and people there are in the tunnel, and how many people have lost their lives. On June 1 this year, Henan media reported that the construction of the first phase of the Zhengzhou Smart Tunnel (Jingguang Road Tunnel Pilot), which was launched in 2020, has come to an end. How will the smart tunnel work?

The report described: In the command hall of the Zhengzhou Tunnel Center, a large smart screen gives a clear view of the scene in the tunnel. Here are real-time monitoring and display of the data of various equipment in the tunnel, providing information analysis of diseases, hidden dangers, and warnings. Yang Hang of the Zhengzhou Urban Tunnel Comprehensive Management Center said that the six modules make Zhengzhou Tunnel "think and talk": " For example, if a vehicle stops or a pedestrian enters in the tunnel, the sensing module will immediately take a snapshot through the monitoring equipment in the tunnel, and sense the reason for it staying and entering. If there is an emergency, we can record the last location of the person in the background. Accurate and rapid search and rescue of personnel." In addition, the Smart Tunnel has high-precision positioning technology, video analysis technology, and a multi-channel information release module that combines big data to provide accurate information.

Obviously, the biggest function of the so-called smart tunnel is to locate and track every person who enters the tunnel, including the condition of the car, the appearance and behavior of the driver and passenger, and even the number and usage of the mobile phone. The relevant data is very likely to be connected to the public security system to facilitate the authorities' monitoring of the people. Undoubtedly, the more such projects, the more intensive the surveillance of the Chinese people and the more restricted their actions. The CCP’s sinister intentions are clear.

Undoubtedly, through this smart tunnel project, the Zhengzhou authorities must have mastered the information of all vehicles, people and mobile phones trapped in the flood. Even if the flooded tunnel destroys the camera, the authorities must retain the video before the flooded tunnel. Through the investigation of mobile phone usage (each car should have at least one mobile phone), the authorities should be able to roughly estimate the number of victims. The relevant figures are most likely to be grasped by many local officials in Henan on the evening of the 20th or the morning of the 21st, and reported to the central government.

Perhaps, for fear of the astonishing number of victims, on the 21st, the Zhengzhou authorities began to implement traffic control near the tunnel, and the police pulled up a cordon to prohibit unrelated persons from approaching. The video posted on the Internet showed that the road above the tunnel was guarded by police, and a man stood guard a few meters away. The purpose of guarding is not to allow people to watch the situation in the tunnel and to prevent people from knowing the true death toll.

Another video showed a large number of police violently dispersing people around the Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel, including the families of missing relatives. There is also unconfirmed news that a bus entered the tunnel late at night and then drove out wrapped in a black cloth, and that many buses entered, suspected of moving the corpse. The above-mentioned video was quickly blocked on the mainland. It should be said that the "unconfidence" of the authorities is the fear that the people will know the truth.

On the 23rd, according to "China Youth Daily", that morning, officers and soldiers of the 83rd Group Army "Yang Gensi" stationed in Xinxiang, Henan arrived in Zhengzhou and deployed in the Jingguang North Road Tunnel. The reason why the CCP army did not appear at the scene of stability maintenance in the first time should be because since January 2018, the armed police force has been under the centralized leadership of the CCP Central Committee and the Central Military Commission, and local party committees, political and legal committees, governments and public security departments at all levels. They do not have the right to mobilize the armed police forces. Naturally, the mobilization of garrisons also needs to be reported to the Central and Central Military Commission.

The officers and soldiers of the 83rd Group Army of the Communist Party of China stationed around the Jingguang North Road Tunnel. On the one hand, it shows that this has been approved by the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China. At least the high-level CCP military and even the high-level Zhongnanhai are aware of this matter, and they all know the reason for the deployment of the army. In other words, they already knew the number of victims; on the other hand, the military leaders and Zhongnanhai who understood the reasons behind agreed to dispatch troops. The biggest purpose was to conceal the truth about the death toll and avoid arousing public anger and triggering a political crisis.

The CCP authorities, who just concealed the truth openly in full view, really thought it could be covered up, and could they continue to deceive the people? As long as the Chinese with a brain think about it and compare the death figures announced by the authorities, they will further understand what kind of lies the CCP has sown again, and thus have a more intuitive understanding of the CCP’s evil, and then abandon it. Chinese Communist Party.

Perhaps the CCP authorities do not care what the people think, even if they know that they are lying, they will not blush at all. In their view, under its high pressure, any dissatisfaction and resistance will be suppressed strongly.

However, the old saying that water can carry a boat can also overturn the boat, whether or not the CCP and the top leaders of the CCP believe it, it has never failed. How much more people can the CCP now gain can be seen from the high-level voices of "death of the party" over the past few years. Under the Zhengzhou disaster, the high-level and CCP authorities’ disregard and choice to cover up the truth are actually contributing to the demise in the near future.

Cubans launch new app to help organize anti-communist totalitarian activities

Reporter : Li Zhaoxi / Editor: Lin Qing / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2021/07/24/a103173496.html

The Cuban’s anti-communist totalitarian movement is still underway. To help effectively organize protests against the dictatorship, Cuban human rights activists Andres Portillo and Denis Molina first launched a Droid smartphone application (App) on 22 July, called "Estoypuesto" (I am here!).

Portillo and Molina are also the creators of the website "Palsaco.com" that reports on the oppression of the Cuban government. This time they hope their application can be used to "organize, view and call" anonymously across Cuba. The app can send the user the date of the event, description, and even GPS coordinates, and the user will get a way to show that they participate in or support the rally, and this method is not easy to be recognized and retaliated by the Communist totalitarian state.

The application has been connected to the "Palsaco.com" website, where organizers can create events and publish information, which will be distributed to smartphones via Estoypuesto. Estoypuesto can be downloaded for free from the Google Store.

If the Droid version of the new application is successfully released, the developer plans to release the iPhone version. Portillo said: "All of this uses the tools provided to us in the 21st century, which our predecessors did not have."

"We hope that Cubans can not only express his willingness to change on the streets and under the horrors of the Cuban dictatorship, but also express his wishes at home. Seeing that he is not alone, there are many people standing beside him." Portillo says.

Organizing and communicating without attracting the attention of national security agencies is a common concern of dissidents around the world. Many people turn to encrypted information platforms such as Telegram for communication, but the Cuban regime blocked access to Telegram and similar application services last week.

After widespread anti-communist protests broke out in Cuba, government officials arbitrarily detained and prosecuted arrested citizens without performing due process. Across the island, relatives are queuing at the police station to find the missing relatives. Some people are trying to deliver clothing, food and other convenience items.

Relatives said that most of the people detained during and after the demonstrations were young people from the poorest corners of the country and they were held in solitary confinement. The authorities have not disclosed the charges for their detention.

The authorities stated that the demonstrators will face closed-door trials, which leaves the defendants and their lawyers no time to study the allegations or present evidence. The human rights organization Cuban Prisoners Defenders said the Cuban government flagrantly violated its guarantee of due process.

Zhengzhou man-made flood? Scholar: CCP's structural disability

Reporters : Hu Zonghan and Zhang Dongxu / https://www.ntdtv.com/gb/2021/07/23/a103173041.html / Image : Video Screenshot

The heavy rains and floods around 20 July in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, water conservancy expert Wang Weiluo criticized the "man-made floods" caused by flood discharge without warning. Scholar Ming Juzheng analyzes that this is a natural disaster, and it is also a man-made disaster, because the CCP's structural corruption and disability have caused even greater man-made disasters. The CCP often regards funerals as a happy event and promotes the Communist Party. This time, it throws the pot away to God.

The heavy rains and floods in Zhengzhou, Henan Province around 20 July, flooded the subway and flooded the tunnel during frequent traffic times, and the death toll became a mystery. The flood of Changzhuang Reservoir was released on 20 July in the morning, and an announcement was made on Weibo only 14 hours later. Water conservancy expert Wang Weiluo criticized the "man-made flood".

Ming Juzheng, Honorary Professor of the Department of Political Science of National Taiwan University, said, "At least two or four floods are being discharged, and there is no warning.

Jiang Feng, a self-media commentator of "Jiang Feng Talk", said, "Unearned flood discharge, including the form of early warning, but not let the masses know, and there are no corresponding urban and rural evacuation and disaster prevention measures, which can be said to be a major negligence. Right. Then secretly releasing floods is a serious criminal offense."

According to the information from the authorities, the Henan Meteorological Unit issued a rainstorm warning on the 17th and issued 5 rainstorm red warnings from the evening of the 19th. All government departments should do emergency and rescue operations, stop gatherings, classes, and work to prevent mountain floods, soil and rock flows, and public transportation dangers.

Ming Juzheng, emeritus professor of the Department of Political Science at National Taiwan University, said, "The unit that should have done nothing, so we see that there will be a big man-made disaster in the future." This should be very clear, this statement is very accurate."

According to Jiang Feng’s analysis, in addition to the reservoir’s flood discharge, Zhengzhou’s terrain is low, but "politics follow suit" adopting the "sponge city" promoted by the central government, leaving rainwater underground, spending tens of billions of Dollars but the strategic direction and engineering quality are all worthwhile reflection.

Jiang Feng, a self-media commentator of "Jiang Feng Talk", said, "The flooding of Zhengzhou completely exposed the CCP's disastrous incompetence in social governance and national governance. In the rapid expansion of urbanization, there is a lack of planning and a lack of urban conscience. So, "cities that watch the sea from the streets" are almost all over the country. Whatever the totalitarian system causes, politics follow the trend, so that the development characteristics of each region are ignored."

However, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China set the tone for "internal waterlogging." Jiang Feng is worried that the responsibilities related to flood discharge without warning, and whether to notify the railway hub will probably not be investigated in depth. The CCP claimed that the torrential rains were "not seen in a thousand years" or "not seen in five thousand years." However, the 72-hour rainfall in this wave was more than 950 millimeters, which was not as good as the 1,600 millimeters in Henan in August 1975.

Ming Juzheng, an emeritus professor of the Department of Political Science of National Taiwan University, said, "(The CCP) is throwing the pot to God."

Jiang Feng, a self-media commentator of "Jiangfeng Talk", said, "In the flood drainage area of Changzhuang Reservoir, there are exhibits on the South Beijing-Guangzhou Line, the East-West Longhai Line Railway Hub, and the 310 National Highway, which are directly related to the country’s major economy. The question of whether the lifeblood was blocked, whether the decision to drain and release floods, was quickly transformed into something that the country’s most senior leaders could make a decision.” “(1975) The Banqiao dam breach of 758 was also at that time, and the Henan Provincial Party Committee Secretary decided this matter was reported to the central government. Deng Xiaoping was playing bridge. He ignored your stubbornness until the last dam breach. Now it is surprisingly similar."

Bus blocked by black cloth pulled out of Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel a cover-up for more flood deaths in Zhengzhou

Reporter : Li Chenyu / Editor : Wang Jun / https://www.aboluowang.com/2021/0725/1623906.html / Image : Tik Tok Screenshot

In the past few days, the world has focused on the floods in Zhengzhou, Henan. According to netizens, it may have caused huge casualties. Another netizen posted a video showing that a bus was pulled out of the Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel, but it was blocked by a black cloth. Apollo commentator Lin Feng analyzed this.

The video shows a double-section green bus being dragged by a heavy truck in front and driving slowly.

An Apollo reporter's investigation found that the bus was a Yutong brand ZK6126HG2 city bus with dimensions: 12 meters in length, 2.55 meters in width, 3.15 meters in height, and 44 seats.

It is inferred from this that the bus in the video is double-sectioned and the length is about 20 meters.

Apollo reporter Lin Feng analyzed that if the window is covered by a black cloth, the bus is likely to be filled with dead bodies. The seat may be removed beforehand! According to netizens, some netizens had previously filmed videos of lengthened freight cars carrying corpses at high altitude. Perhaps the CCP was afraid of being exposed again and closed the bus to transport the corpse instead. According to the power of the heavy vehicle in front and the driving state of the bus (the tractor is driving very slowly), as well as the analysis of the space size of the vehicle, this vehicle contains about hundreds of corpses! How many such buses are there in total? How many people died in total? Maybe it will always be a mystery!

Lin Feng proposed that this is another heinous crime committed by the CCP! There are too many lessons from history! The CCP only knows how to conceal the truth, sing praises, and search for money. It will not take the lives of the people seriously. Otherwise, there will be no flood discharge without warning! Moreover, the local government of the Communist Party of China and its family members should be notified in advance to prevent it in advance! The people can only bear it silently!

Lin Feng pointed out that disasters are frequent, and man-made disasters are far greater than natural disasters. Through bloody lessons over and over again, I hope that the Chinese people will no longer believe in any propaganda by the CCP. It is recommended to form a self-help team with relatives and friends to share information and help each other! Do not pin your hopes on any official aid organization of the CCP, so as to reduce losses! At present, 380 million Chinese people have recognized the evil of the CCP and have broken away from the CCP organization. They also hope that more people will become more sober and become warriors who disintegrate the CCP!

Some netizens also said, “Cars and people can’t get close because the cordon is pulled on both sides of the tunnel, and even on the flyover, and there are police officers.” Other netizens photographed that several vehicles of armed police arrived near the Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel.

People filming said, "Now at the intersection of Longhai Road and the tunnel on Zhongyuan Road, all the police stopped them. They didn't let people approach them at all. They were not allowed to approach them from tens of meters away. There must be something now, everyone knows in their hearts, they don't want to. Things for everyone to see."

Hong Kong media reported that 14-year-old Zhengzhou teenagers Xu Yukun and Li Haoming rode bicycles into the tunnel on the afternoon of the 20th. They called their classmates and told their classmates that after the bicycles were washed away, the two teenagers have lost contact so far.

Li Haoming’s sister, Ms. Li: “My brother and his classmates entered the Jingguang Road tunnel at 3 o’clock, and then I couldn’t find them, and the mobile phone couldn’t be connected. At that time, the water in the tunnel was already very high. ."

What impact and enlightenment did Henan's extreme rainstorm bring to traffic?

In the past few days, extreme rainstorms have hit many places in Henan, causing serious waterlogging disasters. Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province, once faced a “shutdown”. Although the rain has eased in many places, including Zhengzhou, the "impact" brought by this rare torrential rain to the transportation infrastructure is still continuing.

In the past few days, due to the rare and continuous heavy rainfall, Zhengzhou's traffic has been widely affected: all subway lines in the city have been suspended, flights have been cancelled on a large scale, many high-speed rail trains have been forced to turn back, and many highway sections have been banned...

The importance of Zhengzhou's transportation is extraordinary. It is not only an important transportation hub in the Central Plains urban agglomeration, but also the "heart" of China's transportation.

The Zhengzhou Railway Hub is the two major railway arteries of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and the Longhai Railway. It is the intersection of the Beijing-Hong Kong High-speed Railway and the Xulan High-speed Railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour and above. It plays an important role in connecting China's north and south and crossing the east and west. The strategic position of transportation is self-evident.

In this rare torrential rain in history, the maximum hourly rainfall at the Zhengzhou Meteorological Observatory reached 201.9 mm (16:17 on the 20th), breaking through the historical extreme value of the hourly rainfall in mainland China, which not only caused the traffic in Zhengzhou to be suspended "It also has a greater impact on national transportation.

As for the railway, before the rainstorm, the daily passenger flow of Zhengzhou Station was about 400,000 passengers. Affected by heavy rains in successive days, all trains at Zhengzhou Station were suspended on July 20, and a large number of passengers were stranded. At the same time, this will also have a greater impact on passenger transport in nearby places such as Xi'an, Shijiazhuang, and Wuhan. In terms of aviation, on the 20th, a large number of inbound and outbound flights at Zhengzhou Airport were cancelled. Regarding expressways, road surface water occurred in some road sections such as G343, S227, S233, S235, and S236 in Zhengzhou, causing road interruptions and traffic prohibitions.

After the traffic situation in Zhengzhou, its influence spread rapidly. According to the data of Qunar.com, from 20 to 22 July, the number of domestic ticket refunds reached 3.8 times that of the same period last week, the overall traffic volume was 4.6 times that of the same period last week, and the highest number of incoming calls per hour exceeded 6,000. The amount of ticket withdrawals and refunds related to Zhengzhou was 7 times that of the same period last week, and the peak traffic volume reached 15 times that of the same period last week.

Many places in China have suspended receiving and sending express delivery to Zhengzhou. Take delivery from Beijing as an example. According to media reports, Zhongtong Express, Yunda Express, and JD Express stated that couriers can currently be sent to Zhengzhou, Henan, but the timeliness cannot be guaranteed. The courier company also claimed that Zhengzhou’s roads were severely damaged after the heavy rains. Many places had water and power cuts, and it would take at least a few days to recover. The time for express delivery from Beijing to Zhengzhou would be delayed.

Talking about the impact of the heavy rain in Zhengzhou on the national transportation, Chen Xiaohong, a professor at the School of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University, said in an interview that this is a short-term. Several highways and railways operate in Zhengzhou.

Chen Xiaohong said that the important enlightenment brought by the Zhengzhou rainstorm is to increase risk pre-control capabilities in future urban transportation planning, "because now the city is getting bigger and bigger, the more efficient, the more concentrated, and the more vulnerable." The transportation system also needs to be designed with factors such as severe weather to improve the "resilience" of transportation recovery.

Zuo Dajie, an associate professor of Southwest Jiaotong University, also said in an interview with the media that railways and highways are ground transportation methods and are vulnerable to weather and geological disasters. In contrast, civil aviation recovers quickly after severe weather, which can guarantee air traffic connections between the disaster-affected area and other places. For this reason, the advantages of multiple modes of transportation can be fully utilized in the future.
