Garuda Indonesia is first in ASEAN to receive "5-star COVID-19 airline safety rating" from Skytrax

Garuda Indonesia receives “5-star COVID-19 airline safety rating” from Skytrax for its health and safety measures during the covid pandemic. Garuda Indonesia is the first airline in Southeast Asia to achieve this title and one of eight airlines in the world. The other airlines that were honoured include Qatar Airways, Japan Airlines, Fiji Airways, Korean Air, airBaltic, All Nippon Airways and Oman Air.

In a statement to StayGate, Garuda Indonesia said, "This certification will motivate us to continue our efforts to put our valued customers concerns and ensure their health, comfort, & safety as a top priority in every journey."

Singapore Airlines and Scoot were not nominated as their ratings are yet to be completed or scheduled.
