A man in Deyang, Sichuan, returned to his hometown from Wuhan, where SARS-CoV-2 (CCP virus) originated. He was subsequently diagnosed and infected two other people. On 1 September 2020, he was sentenced to 2 years in prison, triggering public opinion and attention. The outside world questioned why the CCP virus caused 860,000 deaths worldwide, but the CCP concealed the epidemic, but no official was held accountable.

On 1 September, the Jingyang District Court sentenced Guo to two years’ imprisonment for “the crime of obstructing the prevention and control of infectious diseases”. According to Sichuan media, Guo, a man from Deyang, returned to his hometown from Wuhan on 22 January. Not only did he not stay at home, he also went to the village to play mahjong. On 28 January, Guo was diagnosed and caused the two to be infected. The village was also lock down.

After the news came out, it immediately caused widespread public concern. Ms. Lei, a Shanghai citizen, said that the verdict was too outrageous.

Ms. Lei commented, "It (the Chinese Communist Party) treats infectious diseases as a measure to sanction the people, which is a bit of a violation of human rights. Another thing is that it does not sanction itself. This virus is not made by itself, and it does not treat it itself. Sanctions are imposed on people who have contracted infectious diseases."

Lawyer Mr. Fan believes that in the early stage of the epidemic, all ordinary people were basically ignorant of the true situation of the epidemic, and it was improper for the court to impose such severe penalties on victims who were at fault.

Mr. Feng, a citizen of Wuhan, said that the law formulated by the Chinese Communist Party is specifically aimed at rectifying the common people.

Mr. Feng said, "This time SARS-CoV-2 is also a communistic virus. They sold this experimental vector and sold it to the animal market to spread. But what should they do if they find something wrong with this matter? China's civil aviation did not allow domestic flights to operate but international flights did not stop."

Mr. Feng said that the CCP deliberately spread the virus around the world, and everyone is paying for the pandemic. It is the top leaders of Zhongnanhai who should be sanctioned and sentenced most.

The epidemic broke out in Wuhan in December 2019. The authorities strictly sealed relevant information and arrested whistleblowers of the epidemic, which caused the virus to spread rapidly across the world.

As of 4 September, the number of infections worldwide has exceeded 26 million, and the death toll has exceeded 860,000, but so far no CCP official has been held accountable.

Mr. Han, a legal person whose relatives died in the epidemic, said that the government and citizens are obliged to prevent the epidemic, but officials at all levels are not accountable, and a farmer who was infected is blamed. There is really no fairness in Chinese law.
