To prevent the novel coronavirus epidemic from spreading out of control, Liaoning and Jiangxi provinces have announced the implementation of "closed management" for all cities in the province. So far, more than 70 cities across China have implemented blockade policies of varying degrees.

On 5 February 2020, China’s Liaoning Province announced that all 14 cities in the province had implemented “community closed management”, becoming the first directly closed region in the province since Hubei Province was closed.

According to the announcement issued by the Liaoning Provincial Government, the 14 cities under the province will only have one entrance and exit from now on. Anyone entering or leaving must wear a mask and take body temperature. Foreign vehicles and people are not allowed to enter. People who have been to other provinces need to be quarantined independently for 14 days and strict transport management is performed.

Subsequently, the Jiangxi Provincial Novel Coronavirus Epidemic Prevention and Control Emergency Command issued the "Announcement on Further Strengthening the Ten Measures for Epidemic Prevention and Control" on 6 February, requiring all regions of the province to implement "closed management" on villages and communities in the province. Residents enter and exit with a valid certificate for temperature detection.

According to regulations, all public places in Jiangxi Province that are not necessary for assembly are closed. Drug stores selling fever and cough medicines must be registered in real names. If there is no special need, each family can only assign one family member to purchase necessary materials every 2 days. .

At the same time, urban and rural communities with confirmed cases are required to implement “closed hard isolation” in some villages and communities according to the local epidemic situation, organize unified disinfection, and prohibit people and vehicles from entering and leaving.

According to preliminary statistics, since Wuhan announced the closure of the city on 23 January 2020, more than 70 cities in 3 provinces across China have entered the "community closed management" model, and the number is rapidly increasing.
