Starting from 10 October 2020, Hong Kong and Macau residents can apply for reissuance of the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macauo Residents (commonly known as "Homecoming Permit") in the Mainland, that is, Hong Kong and Macao residents can apply to the entry and exit administration department of any public security organ at or above the county level in the country The application procedures for the issuance of the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau residents are the same as in Hong Kong and Macau.

Implementation of the Measures for Complaints by Foreign-invested Enterprises

The "Measures for Complaints by Foreign-invested Enterprises" revised and promulgated by the Ministry of Commerce shall come into force on 1 October 2020.

There are 5 chapters and 33 articles in the Measures, which further refine the relevant requirements of the Foreign Investment Law and its implementing regulations, and improve the system for foreign investment complaints.

By improving the foreign business complaint work mechanism and system, and promptly promoting the resolution of outstanding issues reported by foreign investors, it will be more conducive to promoting the formation of a benign interactive relationship between the Chinese government and foreign investors, better protecting the legitimate rights and interests of foreign investment, and further optimization Foreign investment environment.

The country's first free trade zone legislation will be implemented

The country's first free trade zone legislation, the "Regulations on the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Qianhai Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone" will come into effect on 1 October.

In addition to the areas where the state implements access management, Shenzhen Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone will explore the full liberalization of investment access. The "Regulations on Free Trade Zone" innovatively proposes a "non-violation and non-intervention" management model, which will gradually provide foreign investors, relax or cancel access restrictions.

At the same time, the "Regulations on the Free Trade Area" will also explore the removal of all access restrictions for Hong Kong and Macau companies investing in the Free Trade Area, promote the management of the negative list of cross-border service trade in Hong Kong and Macau, and promote the overall liberalization of service trade with Hong Kong and Macau.

Prohibition of big data "killing familiarity"

The "Interim Provisions on the Management of Online Tourism Management Services" will come into effect on October 1. The "Regulations" will rectify unreasonable low-price travel on online travel platforms and the "killing" of big data.

Shanghai: Interim Measures for the Operation and Management of the "One Net Office" platform will be implemented


The General Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government recently announced the "Interim Measures for the Operation and Management of Shanghai’s "One Net Service" Platform", clarifying that the “One Net Service” provides multi-channel government services such as computers, mobile terminals, and self-service terminals to corporate citizens. Shenzhen: personal deposits and deposits exceeding (including) 200,000, registration required

According to the unified deployment of the People's Bank of China, Shenzhen is one of the first cities to participate in the pilot program. The large-value cash management pilot program will be officially launched on 10 October 2020.

 It is reported that Shenzhen large-amount cash management is mainly aimed at the single cash deposit and withdrawal business that occurs on the counters of banking financial institutions or large-amount high-speed self-service deposit and withdrawal equipment, and the management amount is above the starting point (inclusive), and the physical transfer of cash occurs. The starting point of Shenzhen's large cash management amount for corporate customers is 500,000 yuan, and the starting point for large cash management amount for private customers is 200,000 RMB.

After the start of the pilot program, customers who handle large-value cash withdrawals above the starting point (inclusive) of the management amount should, in principle, perform the appointment procedures at least one day in advance according to the appointment rules of the banking financial institution.

When handling large-amount cash deposits and withdrawals above the starting point of management amount (inclusive), customers need to perform relevant registration procedures and accurately fill in information such as withdrawal purposes and deposit sources.

Japan will allow long-term visa holders to enter conditionally


From 1 October, Japan will allow long-term visa holders such as business and overseas students from all countries and regions in the world to enter conditionally. Sightseeing tourists are not within the scope of the relaxed entry.

Prior to this relaxation of entry restrictions, Japan had already eased entry restrictions for business people from certain countries and regions such as Thailand and Singapore. This time not only fully liberalized entry countries and regions, but also added self-funded foreign students and foreigners to Japan for medical, cultural, and sports activities on the basis of business people.

As a condition of entry, in addition to providing a health check certificate, entrants must also be quarantined for 2 weeks after entering Japan.

UK will open a new student visa system

The UK will officially open a new student visa system on October 5th as part of the new points system immigration system. Students will be able to submit a visa application 6 months before the course start date (previously 3 months).

According to reports, the new student visa system will replace the previous Tier 4 student visa system and make further improvements. Thailand opens trial batches of 600 tourists to enter

 Thailand will try to open 600 foreign tourists entry in October, of which the first batch of 300 tourists will arrive in Thailand on 1 October.

Argentina flight re-opening time postponed to  12 October

According to the Argentine Chinese website, the Argentine National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) confirmed in a statement to the airline that the flights originally scheduled to resume on 1 October will be postponed again. The new restart date is set for 12 October.

On the websites of Aerolineas Argentina and other airlines, tickets before 12 October have been shown as unavailable, while tickets after the 12th have been temporarily shown as available.

Foreigners can enter Nepal for mountain climbing and other activities from mid-October

The spokesperson of the Nepalese government announced a series of unblocking measures on 15 September, including from 17 October, foreigners can go to Nepal for mountaineering and hiking activities.
