The Indonesia Health Ministry announced 1,240 new confirmed covid cases on 26 June 2020, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 51,427.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the Ministry’s Disease Control and Prevention Director General, Achmad Yurianto, added that 63 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 2,683.
The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 21,333.
Jakarta recorded 205 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 10,796. Meanwhile, East Java reported 356 new cases, Central Java 177, South Sulawesi 172, and Bali 49.
SARS-CoV-2 has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces with no decrease in cases.
