According to Montsame News Agency, Mongolia in the last one day has reported 2 new covid cases. As a result, Mongolia has a total number of 206 covid cases on 22 June 2020 as at 12 am. There are no fatalities.
Out of the 206 cases, 108 patients have recovered and discharged.
The two new cases in Mongolia involve a freight vehicle driver and a returnee from Frankfurt.
The freight vehicle driver arrived from Russia across the Altanbulag border checkpoint while the returnee is an 80-year-old passenger of MIAT Mongolian Airlines' charter flight from Frankfurt.
The two personnel have been tested positive after the National Research Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) conducted covid tests on 314 people on 21 June 2020, including random tests on 13 people who are treated at district clinics for other illnesses to check if there is any community transmission.
