Three construction workers in Beijing diagnosed positive with covid

Ding Sheng, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Commission, reported that three confirmed cases of covid have been found on construction sites in Beijing, involving two construction sites.

According to reports from CCTV and the Beijing News, Ding Sheng released the above news at a press conference today. He said that Beijing will strictly implement the closed-site management measures on the construction site, and at the same time, there is a project that closely contacts personnel in Xinfadi and temporarily prohibits personnel from entering and leaving.

As of 21 June, the authorities have investigated 435 projects in 16 districts of Beijing's housing construction system and found 743 people who have visited Xinfadi Market, and contacted 879 people from Xinfadi food delivery personnel or other personnel, a total of 1622 people. Allegedly, they have now completed nucleic acid testing.

On the other hand, Pang Xinghuo, Deputy Director of the Beijing CDC, also reported that the nine newly diagnosed cases in Beijing yesterday were all registered in other provinces.

According to the Weibo news of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, in addition to nine newly diagnosed cases, Beijing also found two suspected cases and five asymptomatic infections yesterday. In the 11 days from 11 to 21 June, Beijing has accumulatively confirmed 236 local cases.
