RAND think tank: CCP conceals 37 times the number of people infected in January

The US think tank Rand Company concluded based on research air travel records and reference to the covid diagnosis rate in other countries. The number of SARS-CoV-2 infections officially announced by the CCP in January is 37 times different from the actual number. .

RAND recently released a report saying that according to official data released by the Communist Party of China, in the 23-day period from 31 December 2019 to 22 January 2020, there were an average of 172 diagnoses per day, equivalent to the rate of confirmed diagnoses in mainland China of 1/8.2 million.

The researchers determined that the five countries with the highest risk of the CCP virus from China were Japan, Thailand, South Korea, the United States, and Taiwan, based on international flight data within the same time period.

More than 1 million passengers flew from China to Japan and Thailand, more than 750,000 flew to South Korea, more than 500,000 flew to the United States, and less than 400,000 flew to Taiwan, flying from China in 23 days The total number of people in these five countries is less than 3.7 million.

If calculated based on China's diagnosis rate of 18.2 million, the average probability of only one imported case in Japan and Taiwan is 9%, and five countries including Japan, Thailand, South Korea, the United States, and Taiwan should have only one confirmed case out of an average of 1.3 million people. .

However, based on the actual number of diagnoses in the above five countries during the same period of time, the average probability of imported cases in these countries is about 87%. To achieve this probability, the actual incidence rate in mainland China should be about 37 times higher than the official diagnosis rate announced by the CCP. That is, in the 23-day period of January, the total number of infected patients was 18,700, while the total number of confirmed cases officially released by the CCP was only 503. The difference between the two was quite different.

RAND uses air traffic visualization tools to evaluate and combines John Hopkins’ patient case data with the International Air Transport Association’s detailed air travel data to arrive at the above conclusions.
