Recently, a couple in Beijing have not been to Xinfadi Market nor come into contact with any diagnosed patient, but have only been to a community with an outbreak. The public toilets that they entered were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 (CCP virus), which indicates that "three-handed infection" has appeared in Beijing's epidemic.

According to mainland China reports, the couple operated a barbecued bibimbap restaurant in the food street of Beijing Tiankelong Supermarket. None of them had contact with the diagnosed patients, nor had they been to the epidemic areas such as Xinfadi Market and Yuquan East Market. They became confirmed patients on 21 June.

Officials said that after epidemiological investigation, it was inferred that 2 people were infected because they went to public toilets. Due to the power outage on Tiankelong Supermarket on 12 June, the couple could not use the toilets of their own stores, so they went to the public toilets at No. 70 Yongding Road, Beijing. The environmental samples of this public toilet have been tested positive for the CCP virus. Therefore, experts infer that the couple may have been infected with the CCP virus because they have been to these public toilets.

The courtyard of No. 70 Yongding Road, Beijing is called Xili Community. It turned out that there was a confirmed case in this building, and the diagnosed person was a merchant in Yuquan East Market. This business was infected after being in close contact with a business in the new market, and then brought the virus back to the community to become a new source of infection. Web-based video and photos show that the building door in the community has been welded to death.

The Beijing epidemic continued to erupt. On 26 June, the first confirmed case of the CCP virus  in Changping District appeared. So far, the epidemic in Beijing has spread in 11 districts.

Beijing officials stated that there are 11 confirmed cases in Fengtai, Daxing, Haidian, Xicheng, Dongcheng, Fangshan, Mentougou, Chaoyang, Shijingshan, Tongzhou and Changping.
