Wu Zunyou declared at the press conference on Thursday that "the epidemic has been brought under control". However, only 3 days ago, Wu Zunyou admitted that the Beijing epidemic was "unexpected and the situation was severe", and the market for the new source of the epidemic was large. It is a challenge to clear the epidemiological investigation.

An infectious disease expert group member of the National Health Commission, who asked not to be named, pointed out that Wu Zunyou’s assertion that he was “controlled” was “somewhat sloppy”. The panelist pointed out that whether a cluster-like epidemic situation has been effectively controlled or not is not based on the number of diagnoses announced every day. He also emphasized that, regardless of the international or domestic environment, the CCP virus epidemic is not over yet, and it cannot be taken lightly.

Ning Yi, a Ph.D. from Harvard University and executive dean of the Zhongguancun Millenia Health Industry Research Institute, also said that it is not the time to relax, and the need to prevent the emergence of super communicators in the next two to three weeks.
