Two new community covid cases on 20 June 2020 in Singapore have been infected earlier

Two new community covid cases in Singapore  today (20 June 2020) are work permit holders. The two were asymptomatic and their serum tests are positive, meaning they were infected earlier.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health tonight, one of two community cases, one of whom had been quarantined due to previous contact with a covid patient before being diagnosed. The other was discovered by the government actively testing service employees in necessary areas.

Today there are 218 new cases of covid, and no new infections have appeared. With the exception of two community cases, the remaining 216 are work permit holders who lived in guest dormitories.   

As of noon today, the total number of local cases is 41,833, and the number of deaths remains at 26.
