Overseas Chinese call October 1, the day when the CCP established its political power, as "National Day of Death". This Thursday, more than 150 groups around the world launched the "Anti-China (CCP) Freedom" campaign against the CCP's tyranny in 61 cities, in order to condemn and protest the CCP's abuse of human rights and harm to China and the world. In response to the initiative, 12 human rights groups in Taiwan also held a rally on the "October 1" day in Kinmen, the island closest to mainland China.

According to a report by Radio Free Asia, at the scene of the Kinmen Island event, protesters showed up the Snow Mountain Lion Flag of Tibet, the Star and Moon Flag of the Uyghurs, the flags of the independence movement of Southern Mongolia and Taiwan, and the Hong Kong people "Recover Hong Kong, Revolution of the Times". The banner of the People’s Republic of China chanted slogans such as "Taiwan protects freedom", "Tibet wants freedom", "Hong Kong wants freedom", "East Turkistan wants freedom", "Southern Mongolia wants freedom", "Recover Hong Kong, Revolution of the Times" and other slogans.

In a speech at the press conference at the rally site, the chairman of the Tibet-Taiwan Human Rights Connection Zha Ciren said, "Tibetans have been in exile around the world for more than 60 years. Now Tibetans in Tibet are very, very hard. They don’t even have basic human rights. There is no freedom of religion, no freedom of speech. If a Tibetan speaks about "Tibet Free" in China, his life will be in danger the next day. So far, more than 150 Tibetans have used self-immolation to express their protests in Tibet."

Lin Xinyi, Director of the Tibet-Taiwan Human Rights Connection, accepted a live interview with Radio Free Asia on the day of the event. She criticized the CCP government for its long-standing violations of human rights and freedoms in China, and also constantly threatened Taiwan, compressing Taiwan’s international space, and at the same time exporting its totalitarian power worldwide and bullying countries that do not obey the CCP’s instructions. She said that it was these hegemonic actions of the CCP that prompted human rights groups in Tibet, Uighurs, Southern Mongolia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan around the world to hold rallies to "resist China: FREEDOM NOW!" and protest against the tyranny of the CCP.

Lin Xinyi said that many groups in other countries in the world chose to protest at the local CCP embassy, but there is no CCP embassy in Taiwan, so Taiwan protest groups chose to protest at Kinmen Island, the nearest to mainland China.

She said: "We chose to hold the press conference at the Beishan Broadcasting Wall in Guningtou, Kinmen. We feel that it has a very strong symbolic meaning because China (the CCP) continues to suppress Taiwan’s participation in the international community, but the Taiwanese are not afraid of China (the CCP). Provocation, on the contrary we will stand with people all over the world against China (the CCP)."

In an interview with Radio Free Asia, Zhaxi Ciren also pointed out that the so-called “minorities” under the CCP’s rule have been deceived and oppressed. Today, he stood up to protest not only for Tibetans, but also for Chinese pro-democracy activists, Mongolians, Xinjiang people, and Hong Kong people who are oppressed by the CCP, calling for international attention and fighting for their freedom.

Wu Jiazhen, executive committee member of the Taiwan Association for the Promotion of Human Rights, said that the Chinese Communist government holds huge funds and relies on domineering international political forces to threaten the system, economy, and even infrastructure and people's livelihood of many countries. Businessmen or entertainers, politicians, or political parties who want to deal with China should not open their eyes to the CCP government and talk nonsense. Uphold your own moral conscience and do not turn a blind eye to the abuse of human rights.
