According to Lianhe Zaobao, as at 12 am on 14 June 2020, the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (PRC) has reported 57 newly confirmed symptomatic cases of covid in mainland China, marking the largest increase in the number of confirmed symptomatic cases in a single day since 13 April 2020. On 13 April 2020, there were 89 newly confirmed cases in the PRC in a single day.
There are also nine new asymptomatic cases of covid in PRC at the end of 13 June 2020.
According to the official web-site of the National Health Commission of PRC, among the newly confirmed cases on 14 June at 12 am (24 hours of 13 June), PRC has imported 19 covid cases (17 cases in Guangdong, 1 case in Shanghai, and 1 case in Chongqing), and 38 domestic covid cases (36 cases in Beijing, 2 cases in Liaoning). There are no new deaths while one new suspected case is imported from abroad (one in Shanghai).
On 13 June 2020, two new cases were discharged in PRC, 542 close contacts were released from medical observation, and one case is severe.
There were 83 confirmed mild cases introduced from overseas countries, and two suspected cases. A total of 1,827 cases were diagnosed, and 1,744 cases were discharged but no deaths were reported.
There are currently 129 confirmed cases (including one severe case) in PRC, with a total of 78,369 discharged cases cured, 4,634 deaths, 83,132 confirmed cases reported, and two suspected cases. A total of 752087 close contacts were tracked, and 3358 close contacts were still under medical observation.
In addition, there are nine new cases of asymptomatic infections yesterday (six cases imported overseas) and two cases that were converted to confirmed symptomatic cases (in Liaoning) on the same day (no overseas imports). There are two cases of medical observation released on the same day (one case imported overseas) among a total of 103 cases of symptomatic infection, among which 53 cases were imported from abroad.
Regardless of asymptomatic or symptomatic cases, PRC has an increase of 63 covid cases at the end of 13 June 2020.
There are no new covid cases in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
