An account owner on Twitter called "Yasman" disclosed on 11 June 2020 that a People's Republic of China manufacturer copied Taiwan's MIT masks and sold them to the Philippines. The fake certificate was stamped with the Communist Party's seal.

The tweet also uploaded a photo of the certificate, showing that the brand name is AiDeLai; the place of origin is marked Taiwan, China; the manufacturer is Taipei Rongyi Textile Co., Ltd.; the telephone number is 02-2764883.

In the middle of the seal on the certificate is the emblem of the Communist Party.

According to the Freedom Times report, after investigation, there is no "Rongyi Textile Co., Ltd." in Taipei City, and the phone number "02-2764883" attached to the certificate is also in the wrong format. It cannot be reached at all, and Taipei City is not within the scope of the Communist Party of China. Commodities are not stamped with the Communist Party.

The report said that a large number of fake masks were also found in Japan.
