According to HNA Group's official website, on the morning of 12 June 2020, Gu Gang, executive chairman of HNA Group, met and held discussion with Singaporean Consul General Rodger and his delegation at Haikou HNA Building on Hainan Free Trade Port.
Consul General Rodger stated that this was his first visit to Hainan since he took office. HNA is also the only company the delegation visit this time. They hope to understand whether HNA, as the main body of the market, has cooperated with Singaporean enterprises in the opportunities of the free trade port under the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
The construction of Hainan Free Trade Port Area is a major reform and opening-up initiative that General Secretary Xi Jinping personally planned, deployed, and personally promoted, and a rare development opportunity for Hainan.
For market players, the Hainan Free Trade Port and the free trade ports in other parts of the world have opportunities for complementary and win-win cooperation. HNA hopes that both parties can take this opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between different market players and actively focus on the seventh freedom rights. Policies such as opening up and establishing links on cooperation in aviation, airport, and commercial sector operations, introducing more international passenger and cargo flows for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, have comprehensively helped Hainan build a regional aviation hub, and deepened exchanges and cooperation between China and Singapore.
