The SARS-CoV-2 vaccine developed by CanSino Biologics Inc., a pharmaceutical company in mainland China, was approved to have an "ADE effect", but related reports were deleted by the Chinese Communist authorities a day later. At present, CanSino Bio has opened negotiations with many countries to seek urgent approval for the use of this batch of experimental vaccines. This move has been criticized by global public health experts as "unethical".

A few days ago, the Chinese Communist Party announced that it has a vaccine that has entered the third phase of clinical trials, but mainland Chinese media's "China Business News" published a report on  30 August entitled "Exclusive Verification: The Immune Response of the SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine May Exacerbate the Disease", quoting an unnamed report of experts from the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center of Shanghai revealed that this batch of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines may have an "ADE effect."

"Our latest research has found that the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine ADE phenomenon does exist, and the proportion is not low." The expert also warned that after vaccination, some people's own immune response will cause the disease to worsen.

However, the article was deleted within a day.

"ADE" is the abbreviation of Antibody-Dependent Enhancement, that is, "antibody-dependent enhancement". If the "ADE effect" occurs, it means that after some people are vaccinated, their own immune response will make the disease worse.

In the past week, there have been 4 cases of second-degree infection worldwide, distributed in Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United States. Among them, a male patient in Nevada, USA, was infected with different strains of the Chinese Communist Party virus twice in more than a month, and his symptoms became more severe during the second infection. Although it is still uncertain whether it is caused by the "ADE effect", scientists warn that if SARS-CoV-2 has the "ADE effect", it will increase the risk of death from second-degree infection.

While there are still many uncertain factors in the development of related vaccines, the Wall Street Journal exclusively reported on August 28 that an executive of "CanSino Bio" revealed that the company has begun negotiations with several countries to seek and obtain emergency approval to use the experimental vaccine developed by the company before completing the third phase of the trial.

Pierre Morgon, senior vice president of CanSino responsible for international business, did not disclose to The Wall Street Journal which countries his company is in contact with and negotiating with the Wall Street Journal on the grounds of involvement in "commercial secrets." . He sited Pakistan, Latin America and some developed countries. However, Mogon said that so far, no country has agreed to approve the use of this vaccine in emergency situations.

Public health experts expressed concern about this. Dr. Amesh A. Adalja, a senior scholar and doctor from the Center for Health Security of Johns Hopkins University, told VOA that although the vaccine developed and produced by CanSino Trial in the CCP army and obtained data to support its effectiveness and safety, but before the completion of the third phase of large-scale trials, if people are widely vaccinated with experimental vaccines, it may bring serious public health risks.

"Because the third phase of clinical trials can provide important information, this is why the third phase of testing must be carried out. If the vaccine is tested on a small number of people, it is difficult to know exactly how the vaccine works."

Dr. Adalia emphasized that in order to eliminate the public and the international community’s concerns about such hidden dangers, CanSino Bio must be open and transparent about the vaccine development and testing process. "For CanSino, it is very important to publish data on the use of this vaccine in the Chinese military." He said.

Lawrence Gostin, a professor of global health law at Georgetown University, said Cansino’s actions “broke all international norms surrounding science and ethics and are a huge gamble.”

The Voice of America reported that CanSino’s approach is considered to be a “snap run” and “cheating” in a new vaccine development after Russia. Medical experts worry that once a similar "cheating" vaccine is widely used, it is likely to aggravate the disease, even worse than not being vaccinated.
