Juneyao Air claims under-reported covid cases from Singapore

On 15 August 2020, a total of eight passengers on the HO1606 Singapore-Shanghai flight of Shanghai Juneyao Airlines tested positive for the new coronavirus nucleic acid. According to Article 7, paragraph 3 of the "Notice of the Civil Aviation Administration on Adjusting International Passenger Flights", the company has implemented circuit breaker measures for this flight. Starting from 24 August, the company's flight operation on this route will be suspended for one week. 

Juneyao Air issued a notice stating that, therefore, some passengers of the former HO1606 Singapore-Shanghai flight tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid after entering the country. According to the "Notice of the Civil Aviation Administration on Adjusting International Passenger Flights", Juneyao Air's Shanghai-Singapore round-trip route was broken for one week.

Therefore, Juneyao Airlines cancelled the HO1605/1606 Shanghai Pudong-Singapore-Shanghai Pudong round-trip flight from 24 August 2020.

Passengers who have already purchased the ticket and plan to reach the flight can contact the original place of purchase for a full refund, or choose to change to the flight on 4 September 2020 for free. Passengers of the 4 September flight onwards must produce certificate confirming SARS-CoV-2 negative.
