US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered a speech to the Czech Congress on the 12th, stating that the CCP’s global economic influence poses a threat to a free society more than the Soviet Communist Party back then. He called for global unity and anti-communism, to overthrow the iron curtain, and he is confident that a free society will eventually win.

Pompeo visited the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria, and Poland from August 11th to 15th, seeking for these countries that were once victims of Nazi Germany or the Communist Iron Curtain, and supporting the United States' strategy of comprehensive confrontation with the CCP.

On August 12, on the second day of Pompeo's visit to the Czech Republic, he delivered a speech in the National Assembly after meeting with Czech Prime Minister Babis. In the 14-minute speech, Pompeo focused more on the intimidation campaign launched by the Chinese Communist Party in the world, suppressing freedom and attempting to export CCP influence.

He said that totalitarian regimes have not passed like a storm. To write an epitaph for such regimes requires world unity.

Pompeo pointed out that the Marxist and Leninist ideology of the CCP is even stronger than that of the Soviet Union. From the global CCP virus to the struggle for freedom of Hong Kong people, they all reflect the CCP’s evil values. The CCP is selfish, its actions are derived from its ideology, and it is hostile to a free society.

Pompeo criticized the CCP’s hegemonic act of trying to control the internal affairs of the Czech Republic, called on representatives of the Czech people to recognize the CCP and reject the CCP, and encouraged Czech lawmakers to pass bills and terminate the extradition treaty with Hong Kong.

Pompeo said, “They (the CCP) are not using tanks and guns, but using economic power to stifle freedom. The CCP habitually retaliates against innocent people. Beijing cancelled the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra’s plan to perform in China because of the city of Prague. Zdeněk Hřib worked hard to deepen its relationship with Taiwan; Shanghai cancelled its cooperation with Prague because Prague and Taipei had established sister cities."

He also mentioned that the late Czech Senate Speaker Jaroslav Kubera planned to visit Taiwan, but was threatened by the CCP. At the same time, he expressed support for the current Speaker of the Speaker Miloš Vystrčil, who will visit Taiwan this month, "This is a good thing"!

In his speech, Pompeo repeatedly mentioned the courage of former Czech President Havel to lead the Velvet Revolution, which enabled the Czech Republic to end the communist dictatorship under the wave of "Democratization of Soviet Union and Eastern Poland."

"What is happening now is not Cold War 2.0. In some respects, it is much harder to resist the threats and challenges of the CCP than in the past." Pompeo said, "The CCP uses a method that has never been used by the Soviet Union and has penetrated into our economy and our Politics and our society."

Pompeo said that just like before the Berlin Wall was toppled, no one thought that the Iron Curtain would actually fall. But now "the tide has changed", "Americans now realize that the CCP, which has nothing to do with the Chinese people, is threatening their values and lifestyle."

"Freedom-loving people all over the world are determined to defend their way of life, and it (this force) is growing. I have seen this everywhere I go." Pompeo calls on all countries in the world to unite and resist the oppression of the Chinese Communist Party. Freedom The world is confident of defeating the greatest evil force threatening today's civilized world: the Chinese Communist Party.
