The total number of confirmed covid cases in Bangladesh remains on the rise. On 12 August 2020, 2,995 new covid cases are added to the tally (34,304 cases in total on 11 August). Yet, Bangladeshi airlines are resuming international flights one after the other. On 12 August 2020, US-Bangla Airlines announced that it is resuming scheduled flights to Kuala Lumpur from Dhaka with effect from 16 August 2020 using its B737-800 aircraft.
According to schedules, US-Bangla Airlines is operating day-time flights from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur on 16 and 20 August 2020. From 24 August 2020, it operates evening flights to Kuala Lumpur only.
The flight schedules are as follows:-
On 16 and 20 August, US-Bangla Airlines flight BS315 departs from Dhaka for Kuala Lumpur at 8.50 am, arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 2.50 pm before leaving Kuala Lumpur for Dhaka at 3.50 pm and touching down in Dhaka at 5.50 pm under flight BS316.
From 24 August, every Thursday and Sunday, flight BS313 leaves Dhaka for Kuala Lumpur at 8 pm, touches down in Kuala Lumpur at 2 am before taking off from Kuala Lumpur for Dhaka at 3 am and arriving in Dhaka at 5 am under flight BS314.
Earlier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has resumed regular flight from Dhaka to London.
